Hi guys my r33 gtst is currently running 171rwkw with std turbo set at 10 psi SAFC2 walbro pump and cat back kakimoto exhaust hks pod R34 SMIC. Question is will there be much gain on adding a high flow cat and also a dump pipe (current dump = std). And what are the cat and dump from JJR like? Thanks

thanks paul

Merry Xmas all, Quick question my battery is starting to get a little weak so will change it very soon just wondering if resetting the stock ecu will have any effects on the tune with the SAFC2?

Wheel Balance
black33gtst replied to black33gtst's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
wheels were removed at the workshop and sent out to a tyre place for balancing -
Hi Guys, Just after some info. Had my series 1 r33 gtst in for a safc2 fitting and dyno car has been a bit shaky sitting at 100 km/h so asked them to do a wheel balance as well. They charged me $120 for wheel balance am i being unrealistic or is $120 for wheel balance way over the top? Also the balance hasnt fixed the vibrations at 100 seems fine at other speeds just vibrates around 100 any ideas on problem?

As Title says looking for a SMIC from an R34 GTT to fit on my R33. Brisbane or ipswich area. Cheers Also any SAFC11's
-
anyone got any ideas of fitting and tuning prices in bris?
-
LOL @ online penises. OK now to find an r34 intercooler? also how much should i be paying to fit and tune the safc 2. One workshop which i wont name has quoted $150 to fit it then around $600 to tune on dyno and wants car for 2 days?
-
will it be safe to just leave the standard intercooler on and get the safc2 fitted and have them tune it at 10 psi?
-
Thanks for suggestions guys should of mentioned all suspension and brake components are only a couple of months old, so all good in that department. where in bris would be good to supply and fit an safc and tune?

Hi all after some advice. I have $1100 to spend on my r33 gtst series 1. What would be the best value next thing to go for i have as follows already done. Kakimoto exhaust HKS pod filter Walbro fuel pump Mongoose alarm all stereo components as i want. Lowered king springs Roh holotype R 17" mags Brand new tyres Brand new exedy heavy duty clutch 100000 klm service just been done. custom front bar custom rear wing windows tinted. Ebc fitted set at 7 psi (usually drive with daughter in car so no need for big power) After some ideas to do next. everything else that isnt listed above is standard any fuel air management options in that price range? Thanks in advance for any advice

LOL this thread keeps going. Ok for everyone still trying to find a supplier of toluene. As i stated before i used to be the production manager at KCB Sales / GSB chemicals in brisbane. Google GSB chemicals there is a branch in Brisbane Sydney and Melbourne all of these branches will be able to get toluene for you and remember it is for a solvent not a fuel.

Hi all, Anyone know which place sells the connectors for things like our coil harnesses and oxygen sensors those type of connectors i remember seeing them in a store once but cant remember. I need to repair my coil harness have a cracked connector. cheers
-
anyone know how to fix the coil loom?
-
limpus by dodgy connector what do you mean it was cracked suss wire? how did you fix?
-
Have swapped around coil packs while it had old engine in always remained missing on number 4 cylinder tried another ignitor same probs sounding like it is most likely the harness. Anyone know where you can get a new harness or is it possible to repair the old one?
-
Limpus i was suspecting it was something to do with the coil harness, any idea how you test it or if you can purchase new ones? also where do you get new ignitor? thanks mate
-
other engine was replaced due to a so called "TUNING SHOP" in brisbane blowing my turbo and destroying number 2 cylinder after 16 runs on a dyno. parts used from old engine were all harnesses and coil packs

Hi All, Have a series 1 r33 GTST, recently had a second hand engine fitted all running well. Problem i have is witht the previous engine i started to experience an intermittent problem i.e on occasions when you started the car it ran like it wasnt firing on a cylinder, sometimes a simple restart would rectify and all would run smooth sometimes it just wouldnt run smooth for the whole day. Anyway that engine is gone and had new engine in for almost 8 months now never had a problem, in the last week or so it appears to be doing the same thing again start up she sounds like it has dropped a cylinder but this time i just restart and problem goes away, am worried problem will get progressively worse till its same as before. Anyone have an idea as to what is causing this

How To Undo Gearbox Filler Plug?
black33gtst replied to ZENNON's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yeah duncan sorry was talking about gtst = no transfer case so he could of jus filled through gearstick -
not at all i withdrew the offer quickly because as always someone needs to question a legitimate offer i provided the name of the company and pricing if anyone was unsure they could of contacted prolube directly. I dont need to justify the use of the oil it is a personal choice i simply made an offer to save people some money but wont do it because of doubting thomases so feel free to contact prolube yourself their retail price is still excellent and talk to the reps about the quality and make up your own mind cheers
-
ok thanks to bob jones i wont offer this to anyone however those retail prices i have quoted are available through prolube i will continue using it myself, try and help out and get negative comments oh well
-
Sean I am really interested trying to talk missus into it can you please send some more pics to [email protected] if i can talk her into it would be prepared to travel half way from bris to melb and swap
-
Shane it is cheap because they are a small local company competing against the big boys. Benno i am at Carole park. For those on the northside you can go directly to prolube in brendale and quote the retail price i mentioned and ask for Les.
