looks like practice for deca masters..... i will most definately need a co-driver. plus i have a feeling the evo's poor driving radius will be its downfall in the battles :-( ahh yeah i will be leaving on sat morning... just waiting on the cruise threads. -
is it one of the blue echos... half tank should last a few years ;-) anyway increasing the price wont stop ppl driving... if it did then no one would smoke or drink anymore. at the end of the day,it is an open economy and the ACCC cannot do anything. as long as the petrol companies dont collude or some other silly thing like drive compition away. when Coles increased the price of VPR to over 30c/L more than ULP i complained to ACCC, and they said as the price is a demand and supply issue and as long as ppl are willing to pay the 30c extra they (coles) can set whatever prices they want. hey hang on the compition is going away soo we will pay more for fuel anyway. and the 4c dockets is a joke... for every 30bucks you spend in coles/safeway the price of general groceries etc has already been increased by $2-5 already. i remember spending 50 bucks would fill our trolley (before the dockets) and not 100 doesnt fill it.... hence i have voted with my feet. get fuel from one of the independents, get vegies/fruit from dandenong market and grocries from Aldi.... saves us a couple of rate rises. and saw the best the other day, unfortunately on ACA/TT. co-op buying from the main fruit/vegi markets and saving even more.

well according to shell's own website, petrol at 154.8, the service station is making 16.8c/litre. further the TGP price is $1.38 for ULP. premium is 5c more than ULP. so why do the retailers charge us 10c more for 98 and i thought US and AUS invaded Iraq to make the petrol prices cheaper.... its gone from under a $1/litre to now $1.548/litre. well atleast we are still lot cheaper then UK and Europe prices.

hmm i dont have a skyline so not sure if i will be counted. but anyway i had a boost gauge in the middle of the console in the place of the cd player. anyway decided not enough, so now i got 8 (EIGHT) gauges on demand, flick a switch and i get 6 more. all via a 16x2 LCD screen which has replaced my stock digital clock

i used to have a diana one.... except it wasnt really powerfull. i think i hit someone with it. about 30-50m away, left a small bruise and thats all. it was good for one thing only. but my cousin's cheap knockoff was more accurate and powerfull. ahh yeah..... i swear i havent laughed hard enough when i read that you need a firearm licence in australia to own an air rifle.....

hmmm, funny thread. my work did the hoo blah about it. but i look at it the way it really is. this day/hour is about recognition, and creating awareness. and thats all. now its upto us to actually do better and change our lives so that we stop wasting energy. but note this, atleast in victoria (Australia even) turning off your lights everything in the house/business will do absolutely jack shit in the actual pollution production in the last 24hours. why is that, let me begin with explaining a few things first. There are two type of electricity producers. Firstly is the base electricity producers. these are the Coal powered power plants in Gippsland. which produce a lot of green house gasses. Secondly is the peak power generators. which only run during the day, when all The ACs are on all officers are busy all factories are working. they obviously create a lot of green house gases. Now the problem is that most of the electricity being used during this one hour is the base energy. this base energy is being produced weather we use it or not. do you think that every time when you turn on the light in the toilet a small rabbit goes and farts to create the green house gas to create the electricity to create the power you need for that globe. do you ever see the coal powered generators close down... nope. Hence this earth hour is a load of crap (apart from awareness), sorry to make all you greenie loving ppl disappoint. turn off your lights when you dont use them every day and maybe the power companies realise they do not need 1 generator running and hence turn it off and we save a lot of green house gasses... or better yet get rid of the coal power plants, except it would mean the cost of electricity trebles. and sorry about spelling.

honestly i understand the pain and suffering of your poor fax machine. but i feel it is unfair to post the details of DECA unannounced. yes sure people have to stay back and use the work fax machine but atleast if we know that the forms will be out on a particular day atleast it gives everyone an equal chance at a place. editing someone else's post (i hope you were joking about that) would be the most unfair thing to do. My 2c worth not that they count much.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if Leewah ate too many wang burgers at one of SAU BBQs. have seen this car parked at work for a few weeks and just had to share. ;-) hopefully the pic isint too big.

yeah i havent posted in this topic for a while but it was supercar sunday for me so i might share. Saw the lotus club doing the rounds through reefton area, as well as the Ferrari club. maybe they had a joint cruise or it was coincidence. but it was awesome seeing soo many red ferraris on trip. then i saw more Ferrari's, red in colour, yellow in colour, one driven by balding man showing his shiny patch and giving his car a bit of a stick, and bald man hiding his shiny patch with a Ferrari cap and jacket. spider/convertable Ferraris, new and old soo many prancing horses that youd think that they are a new taxi ;-)

sorry if every one thinks i am a cheap skate, i forgot to put a wink on my original post so it was meant as a digg. but to be blunt if i remember correctly last years membership/dyno day was $35 for three runs. I will not go much except ppl can search to see the price from last year. :D i dont care what price you have, $40 is not much at all and i am thinking event at this price either Ray is charging less as a special discount to SAU or SAU is subsidising the price as most dynos are about 100-150 per hour. my membership is not up for renewal till later on the year so i suppose i dont really have to come to this thing anyway.
-
ahh good, i like ray's dyno why the increase in price from last year.... i know inflation is going up but still. anyway i will be there in my purplish grey spec "C" car. good to see how much more is the car making than last year's stock figures

just think of the poor train driver what he goes through, esp if it is not his fault and quite a few jumpers who want to end their own lives, think its easy jumping in front of a train.
-
i used to know someone, who after trying for over 10 years (maybe 50+ attempts) got his licence. only to loose it after 1 month, due to drink driving

keep the computer paul. just sell the scsi hdds and change the case to a lower spec one. there are quite a few good ones from antec, coolermaster who will be very quiet. unless you are into games in a major fashion, you computer will do you very well for a few more years. and the amount you save on buying a new computer can goto mods for your car ;-) bump the ram upto 2gig and forget about vista (its a load of crap/bloatware anyway). the thing is, and no one will tell you this but after a basic pentium4 (1.8gig) you will almost see no difference in performance of general computer usage. the only thing that tax the system and need more CPU is games, video processing (which not many do, or what is bad about leaving your computer overnight to do it anyway), and running the latest and greatest version of bloatware (windows... vista). i got a P4 2.8 with 1x80gig and 2x250gig (raid) and it goes alright. except loadup is slow but thats all the crap which is on it ;-) and the fact i havent reinstalled windows for 2+ years, its still got 512mb ram. for me to upgrade i have to get a whole new computer and as much as i would want to, its not justifiable expense. i use the comp to surf the net, burn dvd, convert avis to dvds (which i have stopped doing now that i got a dvdplayer that plays DIVX), music etc and it is more than enough. the car needs the money more ;-)
