hey Matt get that in writing mate. as i am pretty sure if the training day involves speed more than the roads (50-60kph) they dont cover. i called them last year and was told by the girl on the phone (i actually got her to confirm it from her sup) even kev's other training day they didnt want to cover as it was bieng held on a part of sandown, even though it is defensive driving.

those pics made my day. haha very funny indeed kev. now if i could do that with my evo.....dirt autocrosses here i come.

took them ages to get it on the newspapers..... from now on i will come only to SAUVIC to get the latest in Victorian news

i have to retract my statement. it was a mud bath. almost no grass. and a lot of rooster tails and a million files all wanting to either get in your mouth or nose there werent too many people competing from what i could make out.
-
i dont think it would be dusty (thats werribe) its sandy/grassy been to the reserve before not for a mokahana. that said i might go, $15

ok a piece of advice. make sure you get health insurance. accomodation, if you already have kids, get them to pay for education. that is the most important thing. maybe get them to throw a cpl tix back to melb every year in the package. i have an uncle in Saudi Arabia, and that what he advised me. basically when you do that your yearly cost of living there is practically nothing you have to spend on and all the money earnt is saved. and i promise food is really cheap. so now you have a job paying good money (usually more than AUS). your melb home is on rent, and is paying off its mortgate partially. in a few years you will have so much money saved up you wont know what to do. i have heard of people working in Middle east for 5-10 years owing a few houses outright in Aus and making so much money that they are set for life. in a countries like Kuwait/UAE etc the laws arent too strict and the law an order situation is very good. I would absolutely recommend you go there. and you will kick yourself if you didnt... and so would your wife.... you could even get her to work as a teacher in one of the international schools teaching english. they pay good money too. obviously there are a few rules and they arent as liberal as here. so it might be a bit harder in a few regards. just make sure you get the company to pay for every thing as i said above as if they dont then its not worth it and quite expensive. and yeah go for a good reputable company. not sure but you may even be able to bring the new GTR back...except they are LHD cars there

^^^ i would have just say, take AL and his trusty GPS with you, he will take you somewhere

so is it hill climb or a sprint? as the sup regs say its a hill climb. seeing its not on their forums yet, does anyone know approx how many runs will each person get. will there be any driver training or actually is there any point of driver training?

check the towing capacity of the aristo. it might not be rated to tow 2.5tonns, hence effect the suspension, by loading it up soo much. the reason that the typhoon/xr6 might not be that good is cuz the torque comes a bit later and in a lump due to the turbo, might cause issues with wheel spin (esp when wet). considering the field of work you are in i would recomend a luxury spec car. hence I would go xr6 or a V8 or a 4wd like territory. but maybe a ML320/diesel (yes it will be slow but they are not that expensive and it is a merc sure to impress)

^^ that will be the attitude of the courts. if you have a clean record they might have been lenient and let you off (or if you are a high profile public person) seeing you have a history of driving offences which resulted in this last one making you lose your licence to anyone it would appear that you were just normally speeding.

i just copied other people's work. then changed enough of it to make sure that even i couldnt tell that it was a copy.... but i suppose that is quite easy to do with programming.

thankx to chris for doing the results. woo hoo i am not the slowest 4wd there. thankx to someone who was going more for style points than actual times on a serious note i am also happy to see that i have improved, seeing i am faster than that pesky echo hope to see you all there on the next one. and yes i should try and learn how to do handbrake turns, might have helped me on the last two mokahanas. also would publically like to thank my navigator, whose tireless efforts ment that i went the correct way, even though i was wanting to go the wrong way all the time :-)
-
hmm still awaiting results. looks like the hardworking people are still busy :-) i know i will be slow. but how slow is the question.
-
awesome, awesome weekend. had a ball on saturday. BIG thankx to the organisers and all the lovely volunteer people who made it possible. waiting all the pics and results to see if i improved over last time.
