  1. Just a parts list at the moment I have the machining and everything sorted. Got the clutch for the mo and the fuel reg. I was looking on RIPS and they have some pretty good deals, I mean if I just buy one of those engines for 20K then sell mine I will be miles ahead. Just abit for the future (10 years or so) if I get rid of the engine tho cos the car wont be worth as much without all matching numbers. Anyone else know much about this mob??
  2. Ok, thanks for all the feed back. I have spoken to a few people and here is the list so far, let me know if I am missing anything or if you know of cheaper prices. N1 Block – $2010 (RHD) Tomei stroker kit – $6000 (Slide) JUN oil pump – $1000 (RHD) $1129 (Slide) Oil sump baffle – $289 (Slide) N1 water pump – $400 Cams – $800 (Slide) Valve springs – $500 Valve guides – $500 Garrett T04Z – $2400 External gate – $600 Manifold – $600 Injectors – $800 Fuel pump – $500 Fuel rail – $239 Bolt kit – $400 HKS Timing belt – $190 Nismo engine and gearbox mounts – $309 Metal head gasket – $350 Other – $1000 Gear set – $2900 Main shaft – Cheers
  3. Oh yeah and I should mention "SWEEEEET!!!!!!!" cos i would really love to run a 10 and kick all my mates asses in there v8's, woo hoo.
  4. The good old stagea hey bet that would surprise the shit out of some people haha. I have been looking into these t04z's you can get the whole HKS kit off your favorite site (rhdjapan MINT) for about $7K. Is yours a HKS or the garrett version? Just wondering if there is much difference?
  5. I already have the clutch for the moment see how long it last (OS giken twin plate) and I can get the gear set to my door for about $2800 and then my engine builder will get that fitted for me.
  6. So ture guys, i know the costs involved with building engines as I have been there along the way with a few of my mates and want to throw at least 4k into the driveline as unique1 I dont want to be smashing gear boxes or babying the thing I wanna go hard and fast. unique1 have you run your car yet?? It would be sweet to run a 10 once I get the engine built.
  7. Thats not bad at all and not much different to what i have at the mo, I might have to look into it a bit more. I love hard strong boost, I remember when i took one of my mate for a spin after i got my car tuned and it almost made him sick it was awesome, haha. And yes gotta love that gating sound, MINT! What sort of manifold do you reckon?? Only because i have been told so many different stories about them?
  8. Nah just the shifter that changes it from a H pattern to a forward and reverse, I can always remember watching vids of the HKS R33 GTR doing that 7 second pass and thinking i want to beable to shift like that. hahaha the other one would be nice tho in my dreams.
  9. Thanks heaps man you are one of the goods ones on this which is sometimes hard to find whuch is a real shame. I gotta go see my engine builder and see what he says, i wanted to keep it twin and have the stroker kit cos i love a really torquey engine (driven too manyof my mates v8's) but if i can do it cheaper and get a similar result then i will be happy. How does the big single go?? It not like a vl turbo with no boost until 80km and then all of a sudden the thing kicks in?? I do a lot of hil runs so I like some power before 4000rpm. I come back from holidays on the 10th of June and thats when all the action will start.
  10. nismonut yes please do?? I am so getting a sequential shifter they are awesome.
  11. unique1 what do you drink you are owed a slab or seat in the beast when she is done. This site is mint, the Aussy dollar is kicking ass at the moment better get onto the boss for a pay rise so I can get the parts quicker, haha! Thanks again.
  12. Yeah I like the Tomei stroker option but then again i am pretty sure 94 32 gtr's (which mine is) have r33 cranks so could also go that way, not sure. Wasn't the keenist on going single cos i dont really know what the driveablity will be like and wouldn't mind keeping it stockish looking. unique1 yeah i know all about this, when i was looking around at doing the v8 twin turbo thing cos built up really quickly but as i said if it goes over that to get the quality and not something i have to baby all the time then ill find a way to do it. I would go the N1 block option tho and if you can find me one for 2k ill buy you a slab, ha ha.
  13. Yeah I know there are other threads but if i could use any of my stuff that would be great. Nismoid - the car will be just a weekender and then might take it to the track every now and then but the key is reliablity i would much rather spend the coin then do it on the cheap. Cheers bwebbie i know it will be. Check out KFC this week my company is installing a new sign down there in Burnie, haha.
  14. Hey all, I have decided to keep my car after being stuff around way too much with dreamers. Anyway now that I don't have to sell it and I have somwhere to keep her I want to rebuild the engine and turn it into a monster. So I have about 18-20 grand (Was going to do a twin turbo kit on a VX Clubby if I sold the GTR) for the rebuild and want 600hp + so any help in which way to go would be great. Here are the mods done already- 316kw atw HKS 2530's (probably need bigger ones) Ross balancer Tomei cam gears Nismo 600 or 650cc injectors Splitfire coil packs Apexi N1 exhaust. I think thats about it for the engine. I have been looking at Tomei kits cos there are such good value so any info on this would help. Cheers
