Hello to all Here is what i am after for my 2001 RS4S Stagea Excellent Condition Suspention (shocks and springs) - I need front only but would be interested in a price on all 4 corners if somone makes me a deal on something nice.... Excellent Condition Steering Rack and mounts Wheel Bearing (passenger rear side) - i dont know if they are a particular brand or type.. just need 1 Sway bar links All offers will be considered... thanks for the help in advance Ben

I agree with Mr. Untouchable. I have brought a few cars over from the mainland and the usual things that they look at are tyres and ride height and tint and a few other miniscule things. If there is nothing majorly illegal on it and it doesnt leak bucket loads of fluids, usually you just have to bring it over the pits... I would go to RACT and if they dont like you Big Al's Garage in Longford will like you Have fun on our roads, (meeting the legal speed limit of course)

Hello All, Geez its been a while since ive been on here.. anyway here goes... Forgot to add this (its a 2001 Stagea RS4S - Manual) 2.5lt neo engine I took the car in to Pedders today to get a suspension check as having a wheel allignment and balance done didnt fix the shake in the steering wheel. Here is what was found. Shocks - Front - Fail!! - Soft, Lacking control (recommend replacement) Springs - Pass Bump Stop - Pass Strut Mount plates - Pass Lower ball joing - Pass Lower control arms and inner bushes - Pass Upper Ball Join - Pass Upper control arm and inner bushes - Pass Radius rod and bushes - Pass Leading arm and bushes - N/A Outer Tie Rod ends - Pass Sway Bar Bushes - Pass Sway Bar Links - Fail - Ball Joint worn Steering Gear - Fail - RACK and MOUNTS WORN (NEED REPLACEMENT) Power steering pump - Pass P/S lines/Belts/Filter/Oil - Pass Wheel Bearings - 3 pass 1 Fail (Passenger Rear) Tyres - Fail (Uneven Wear OUT OF ROUND) Shock Absorber Travel on the Front left = 45mm and on front right = 33mm... (Should this be like 20mm????) Now what i am after, seeing as i am located in Launceston Tasmania, is where i can get some of these parts?? Does anyone know what price i would be looking at and what i should get genuine etc.. (i rekon - without having checked yet that a genuine steering rack would probably cost BILLIONS... But like i said i have not checked yet.... Any suggestions for type of parts? i.e. Aftermarket or factory? The car is predominantly used by my wife for karting the kids around and so on... So i am not really after some hardcore suspension set up. But i did get told that if i was to get they guys at pedders to source the items for me i would be looking at 3-4k. And frankly i dont have that kind of $$$$ to just hand over without consideration.. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance Ben

The reason i am selling is because i am after a wagon so i can cart the dog around in the back, instead of having it in the foot well. (ridgebacks are not small (50kg)). Hey there mate, I realise that it says melbourne only, but i just thought i would let you know that i have an A1 block/crank/pistons/rods etc.... for sale. Depending on what you want i can make a price accordingly. The engine has done 60,000kms and has no marks on it anywhere, bores are all nice and clean/smooth. I can arrange any pics you want. I agree with sapphiregraphics, you should first decide what way you want to go with the intstall. Do you want to compete? or do you just want good sound? To throw a different like on the issue, i used to compete in car audio shows with a dual port sub box with 2x 12inch sony subs (before the xplod came out) and ran them off a 2 channel sony amp. I had 2 x x6x9's in the custom parcel shelf and splits in the front. The speakers were pioneer, and they were not the flagship models. The speakers were run on high pass frequency because all the base came from the subs. the speakers had a 4 channel amp 90RMS x 4 @ 4ohm. i didnt win many shows but i did get a couple of second places and the thing is that the total set up didnt cost much at all. Head unit was sony Mini disc player from 1999 What i am really saying, which is in line with sapphiregraphics, is that brand is not neccesarily representative of good sound. It comes down to the install more than anything. I am sure i can set up a 10k system to sound shit!!! The one best tip that i was ever given is that invest in good quality cables for the setup. If you want to skimp on anything dont skimp there.. Just my 20 cents
