  1. Hey there forum need to know if you guys can answer a question for me. My car is a 95 gts-t turbo, engine completely stock. Mods I have are: 3.5" turbo exhaust split dump, pod filter, ebc boosted to 10psi and plugs gapped to .7. Now the car runs great no problems \there just I noticed that the crank time to start the car has gotten a bit longer from just turning the key to holding it for about 2 seconds and it doesnt matter if the car is cold, warm or hot its the same thing once I have turned her off takes about two seconds for her to turn over. No I did fiddle with the afc neo I have and after I played with it the problem occured a few days after I went ahead and tried to tune it on the low throttle side by using a narrowband air/fuel guage. I figured since the stock ecu reads rich fooling the ecu to think less air is coming in would be the way to go. And I jst copied the same table to the high throttle side now it takes lomger to start what can this be?
  2. Another lesson learned, Cause I saw a few so called tuners over here tuning in third which they said third or fourth will b okand also one was road tuning a car in third as he didn't have access to a dyno
  3. Yea I undersatnd what you are saying but shouldn't third read a higher horsepower figure seeing it is a more powerfull gear i mean 218 is the highest I got to redline? I figured you would get a higher horsepower readin in third seeing as when you go to a dyno thats the gear the would use to tune and get max hp out of.
  4. You should know but since I failed to mention it this is at wide open throttle, also I noticed boosting starts for me at 2-2500rpm and is not full on till like 4000rpm does this seem correct for stock turbo with the boost turned up to 10 psi
  5. Hey forum once again I call on the experts to assist me with a question I have. Car is a 95 gts-t, mods are 3.5" turbo back exhaust with split dump, pod filter, iridium plugs gapped at .7, ebc boosted up to 10 psi, and i just recently got on 98 ron fuel after using 95 for a year. Everything else stock and an afc neo but its not tuned. Neway, here is the prob got a gtech pro, and its the best thing to a dyno i have, i did a few runs and i noticed that I am having more power in second gear than throughout the entire third gear rev range. What could be causing this? Can neone tell me or give some opinion as to y second gear is reading more hp than the entire third gear. The reading was 222..6 hp at 5610 rpm in second gear and the highest hp in third was 218.1 at 5676 rpm. Thanks in advance for all help!!
  6. Dont Have the exact weight just put in 3500 pounds as a rounded off figure. The axis calibration is when you take off to get the g-tech started but only roll forward a couple a feet so that the directional arrows work, did that if thats what u meant. Yea my gas is real shitty over here only gas available is your 95 ron equivalent. So I'm gonna start mixing my own brew getting the ron as close to 98 as I can then I will reset ecu once I have ran a complete tank thro my system and start using my mix everytime I fill up and see what happens. Will post my results. I really think its the gas, plus I have no tune the tune is stock.
  7. Hey all just wanted to ask the forum members a quick question. I have a g-tech pro the rr version so you kno I had to take my car for a spin to see how the device works. I have everything setup and i went for a straight line run, I must say it disturbed the hell out of me I have a 95 gtst with the following mods 3" turbo back exhaust, pod filter, fmic, stage three clutch, boost turned up to 10 psi, plugs gapped to .8mm, no tune and running 91 octane gas as that is the only gas available over here and it is probably 95 ron to you guys cause we import directly from the U.S.A.. Nehow heres the prob I took my car on a quater mile run and came up with some disturbing numbers FOR HORSEPOWER i got a figure of 183 and a quatermile time of 15 seconds on average. Now the time isn't Really an issue but the hp figure, 183 comeon I have to have more horses than that and I have the weight of my vehicle as 3500 pounds. With the mods I have listed does this power figure seem correct. Also wanted to know if I could use xylene in place of toluene as an octane booster and if there are any negative effects to the cars engine as compared to using toluene? Thanks in advance guys.
  8. Sorry to bring an old thread back up but if toluene is not readily available can I use xylene? If yes what are the negative affects as compared to using toluene?
  9. No toluene only xylene can I use that instead? What are the negative side effects of using xylene instead of toluene?
  10. So no household item can work then, if I can't find toluene?
  11. Need desperately to mix my own fuel cause only fuel available to me is 91 octane and as read on the forum the lowest should be 98 or 95 ron. I wanted to try the toluene but I cant seem to find it newhere is there a shelf item I can use that is close to 100% toluene. If I were to mix 20% toluene with the 91 octane fuel what octane number would that get me to. Thanks in advance guys for all your help!!!
  12. Is it more lag like bummer I made a mistake or lag that you can deal with until boost? Would it be that much of a difference in lag going from .64 to .86?
  13. Hey Forum I just want a bit of information from you and I am thanking you in advance for it. I decided to go with the gt2860rs on my r33 gtr. Are they direct bolt on? Which turbine a/r should I go with the .64 or .86, will both get me to around 500hp with room to improve as I strengthen the engine? I am leaning towards the .86 for that higher hp, if the .86 is just as responsive I will go with that for that higher hp even if it is a little more laggy than the .64 but not by too much cause it needs to be good enuff for the streets. So which would you suggest and yes I have read the sticky's but there is no comment on a/r sizes so I want the opinion of the guys in the forum. That's it thank you once again.
  14. One more turbo question before I go. If I opt for the single and go with a T04 turbo say this one the gt 4088r first of all will it fit under the hood of a gtr without mods and secondly if i got the turbo with compressor:wheel diameter of inducer:63.5mm exducer:88.0mm, trim:52, a/r:0.72 and turbine: wheel diameter: 77.0mm, trim:78, a/r:0.85 will this be a lag monster or will the spool up time be just as long as a gt3582r with compressor a/r .70 and turbine a/r .82?
  15. I was going for a medium to large single because I wanted to cut back some of the upgrade cost? Whats the problem with going to a single from a twin turbo setup if I am only after 500 bhp? Yea its 500 for now but you know how that goes only until i get tired of it and then it will be 6 and 700 bhp cause I plan on having this ride until either it or I die God spare my life and I am just setting up the ride for future upgrades if necessary. So this will just be the initial upgrade.
  16. Car is an r33 gtr sorry forgot to mention that.
  17. Hey forum I just wanted to ask you experts a quick question. I have narrowed my turbo selection to 2 turbos I have a power goal of 500 rwhp can u please assist me by telling me which one you think is better suited for that goal? First up we have the Dual Ball Bearing GT35/GT40R Turbo T3 style inlet flange with 4 bolt exit. Large TO4S style compressor housing with 4.00 inlet and 2.50" outlet. It is said to have a flow capacity of about 600HP.Turbine-Wheel: 68mm w/ 84 trim-Available Housing: .82 ar, Compressor-Wheel: 82mm w/ 56 trim-Housing: .70 ar and next up is the Garrett T3/60-1 COMPRESSOR SPECS - T04S housing flow: 61 lbs/min 781cfm .70 A/R housing 60 TRIM wheel TURBINE Specs - T3 76 TRIM stage 3 Turbine wheel. Oil lubricated center section. 360 degree thrust bearing .82 A/R said to be Capable of 600whp! All help is appreciated thanks in advance. Oh I forgot to mention it will be a street car so I would prefer the quicker spooling one. Thanks again!
  18. So where did he place the aftermarket sender do i have to drill into where the ecu temp is cause i really fear not being able to clog the hole up properly and having coolant leak out.
  19. Ok here is the story. I really don't plan on making more than 220rwkw in my car, from what I read in the forum thats the safest route to go with my current mods and I dont plan on changing injectors Its virtually stock except fmic, cold air filter with pod, 3.5" turbo back, 255 lph fuel pump, stock turbo boosted up to 10 psi and afc neo. I just want to maximize the stock injectors to get the most flow out of them. So I wanted to now if an aftermarket fpr would benefit any or help me in any way to get the most out of my stock injectors.
  20. So if I am keeping the stock injectors just setting the fpr to stock fuel pressure will give a slight increase in horsepower and the stock injectors will be used to their potential?
  21. So that would be around 44psi and even if I up the boost just leave it at that? There is no need to up the fuel pressure? So what is the advantage of having a fuel pressure regulator I thought you would use it to up the fuel pressure a bit in order to gain horsepower and maximize injector usage.
  22. Hey forum need your help again I have a fuel pressure regulator on the way and I wanted to know what pressure to set it at to get the most out of the stock injectors. I have a stock turbo as well running 10 psi, what pressure do I set the fuel at to get the most out of the injectors and if I was to turn up the boost to 13 do I then turn down the fuel pressure to compensate for turnin up the boost? Thanks in advance.
  23. Tuned!!!!! Ha it was never tuned just installed. I can't even find a dyno over here and since I have been apart of this forum I have learned alot bout the skyline and it upsets me so, that I cant build a decent one and get it to its full potential cause there is no place to tune. I see these other skylines around here with the black smoke spewing out of their exhaust and I kno its because they aren't tunned properly. There thinkin that there car is the fastest thing on the island because they upgraded their turbo, exhaust, air filter and intercooler not knowin that an aftermarket ecu with a tune would give them heaps more. I am here learnin and reading up on mine and want so badly to get the most out of it but know that I cant because there is no place to tune and I don't have the know how or the tools to do it.So I guess Ill just have to mod within limits of the stock ecu!!!!!!!! THAT BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Yea there a few with basic mods fmic, full exhaust, pod maybe a couple with turbo upgrades but not many. Thats another prob if there are any tuners I don't know or have heard of any. Yea it sux I know need help with that too.
  25. Ok I checked it again and the check engine light flashes 1 slow and 2 fast. This is error code 12 i think and a 12 is for air flow meter so what do I have to do to get rid of this code or what is the effect of this cause like i stated earlier the car runs great also the afc neo had to splice off the airflow signal could the ecu be picking that up and sending it as an error code also it isnt tuned as yet. So any and all help with this will be appreciated.
