No its P.I.T Boost control unit. Ill try to explain it better, doesn't spike when Im driving it spikes on the gear changes and that activates the warn function and it doesnt hold boost i have seen it get to the desired setting of 10 psi but it doesnt hold it, the minute it gets there say around 4000 rpm it immediately drops off to stock boost numbers and thats in third and fourth gear. I was figuring that it was suppose to hold boost on acceleration from about 3500rpm to around 5000rpm or so, the stock boost guage is constant but the reading on the ebc fluctuates. Any one has any suggestions

Hey forum I just have a couple question about boost spiking, all help is appreciated. I hooked up an ebc on my friends stock gtst r33. Now only mods are the ebc and a pod everything else stock. I set it for lo boost 10psi and hi boost 12psi. 1. When the car accelerates should it not be boosting up to 10 psi as long as you are on the throttle not all the way but accelerating? I get the 10 psi but it doesn't hold it as long as i feel it should it just gets there and then starts to fluctuate. 2. The ebc has a warn function to limit boost when spiking, which i set to 15psi. It activates this function. Not on accelerating but I feel on gear changes. The ebc has a boost guage as well and it doesn't read 15psi at all. Took the car on a run to test the settings and the highest i saw during the driving is 10.4 but it also has a last and peak function that allow to view the highest boost ever recorded and the last boost you did before turning the car off when looking at that I see where the car did 16.4psi but I did not see it during the run. What do u feel is the cause of this I told him to get a full turbo back exhaust and he would see the boost remain constant. I was also thinking to just set the controller at a higher warn function to stop the spiking feature seeing as its only during the gear changes. Was i correct?

So what type of power will that turbo produce? Really Im looking at getting maybe 450 hp out of it at the most. Probably like 300hp or so as a daily on 12 or so psi but when I up the boost close to 400 hp. If that still won't be able to produce it tell me what to look for in a turbo that will produce 400-500 hp. Also I would like to know whats the most you can get out of a stock rb25det with the mods I am about to do, without damaging the engine? Cause I wont have anymore money for a while to mod the engine internally and just want to keep it running safely until I can.

Ok checked it and confirmed that it has the black plug which will make it a 1.5. So when ordering coil packs for a 1.5 do I get the coil packs for a series 1 or 2 engine?

Hey forum members just a quick engine question about an r33 gtst. How do you tell what type engine is in the car, series 1 or series 2? I have a 95 r33 gtst pretty sure its a 1.5 and I ordered some new coil packs for it they are on the way, now I am somwhat confused after reading some write ups on engine type as to wether I have a series 1 or 2 engine cus in one of the write ups it stated the some 1.5 came with the series 2 engine and as they use different coil packs I want to make sure I bought the right one? How do you tell the difference between a series 1 and 2 engine? All help is appreciated thanks.

On the r33 gtst headlights I am wanting to know which screw aims it up and down and which screw left and right. I looked and searched with no luck so please don't tell me to search anymore.I jst need to aim my lights down and don't want to adjust left and right but i cant seem to find which screw does it is it the screw to the top of the light or the bottom does ne1 know. Help is much appreciated?

Sorry havent put on any mods besides the two I listed. Just waiting to install the rest one time. Hmm so does that ecu piggy back with the stock or do u remove the stock ecu and it manages the engine by itself?

LOL you kno your stuff I copied it straight from the page i bought it off so what do you think is a true power output of that turbo and what should I expect out of the car after mods power wise. Really dont even want 600 horses way too much for me was figuring getting about 450 out of it. Is that realsitic?

Hey Guys I have a r33 gtst series 1 current mods pod and ebc set to 10 psi it runs great service it like every 4months or so full synthetic oil redline 20w 40 I think, plan to flush radiator fluid every year and changed to the redline shockproof gear oil when I had put in my short shifter so like 4 months ago had it like this for almost a year can you believe that a year with a sweet ride like that and those simple mods mileage on the engine is about 87000 km . Everything else stock except i changed the spark plugs to iridiums gapped at .7 . Took me a while to save up and buy all these mods but im almost done, I figured might as well wait and put everthing else in one time. Took alot a patience and will power but I'm almost there. With me I have 3inch turbo back exhaust straight through system no cat will be on my car, fmic, 255lph fuel pump, 660cc injectors, high velocity plenum, aftermarket lowmount exhaust header, stage 3 clutch, q45 afm and throttle body,turbo well i dont know but got it at a nice price and was told it will fit fairly easy these are the specs TURBINE HOUSING A/R .63, TURBINE WHEEL: Exducer : 2.48" Mayor : 2.89" COMPRESSOR WHEEL: Exducer : 2.07" Mayor : 2.36" WET FLOATING BEARINGS T3 FLANGE OIL COOLED 3" INLET 2" OUTLET AIR FLOW RATING OF 600HP CNC MACHINED FLANGES also its internally gated, split fire coil packs and thats it. I cannot find a pfc anywhere so i was lookin at gettin a motec m600but i havent the foggiest on what other ecu to get thats user friendly really wanted a pfc but thats life have to always adjust. Wanted to know if the motec was the way to go. Also i am wondering if a q45 afm will work with this ecu and if this ecu totally replaces the stock one or will i still need the stock ecu to work along with the motec ,all i was looking at was pfc but they are basically extinct, any other ecu ideas would be greatly appreciated. Finally the car feels great now but its kinda sluggish in the acceleration in third and fourth boost doesn't throw you back in the seat as i would like it wanted to know what type of figures and how the car will feel compared to how it is now with these mods. I'm sorry that I don't have any figures for you but being in the bahamas no dyno is available and tuning is a pain in the a$$ everything is on a"like how it feels then go with it basis" Gtech pro is on the way so at least I'll be able to say what amount of hp I'm doing now and when its finished being mod. Sorry its so lengthy just wanted to give you all the details so that you can give me your best advice/response. Thanks for your time.

Ok here is the scenario about to spend a few thousand dollars to upgrade my 95 r33 gtst and was wondering what all can i do to get about 400-500 horsepower out of it. Current mods shielded pod filter ,3"turbo back exhaust minus the cat , fmic, ebc set to 10 psi lo and 12 psi hi, stock turbo, stage 3 clutch, 255lph fuel pump and 800cc injectors. Now these are the mods I have in mind bigger turbo, apexi power fc if i can find one,greddy or same caliber intake manifold,80mm afm, 80mm throttle body. What figures should i expect with these mods. also I wanted to know if there was anyway for me to stay internally wastegated as i dont want to change my front/dump pipe set up as it is a direct bolt on to the stock turbo I have. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which turbo I can purchase that will produce the numbers I want that is a direct bolt on and internally wastegated like the stock turbo or do I have to go external and change my front/dump pipe. Sorry I dont have any current figures for u as I live in the bahamas and don't have a dyno to go to get figures or even tuned properly. Just strictly add mods and figure out the tuning for yourself. Attached is a pic of my front/dump pipe. Or is there a way for me to keep this pipe with an externally gated setup?

Ok I have a 95 r33 gts-t and it has a faulty temp sensor I know this because I didi the diagnostic and thats what came up. After about three to four starts I always have to go under the hood and reconnect the sensor then it starts right away f0r three to 4 starts again. Can anyone help with this prob I live in the Bahamas and the new sensor is goin to take awhile to get here. I wanted to know if there is anyway to bypass or leave this sensor unplugged without the car failing to start? If so how do I do this and why does this sensor being unplugged cause the car to not start?

Hey foum I need a huge favor I just ran a self diagnostic test on my car and the error message I got was 41 this is the inlet air temp sensor only prob is I dont know where this loom is located under the hood. I have a 95 gtst, if ne1 has a pic or a good description and would like to post it so that I can check it out and try to find out whats wrong with it that would be greatly appreciated ran a search and nothing came up as to where it is located. Thanks in advance.

Ok I just wanted to make sure everything was right? Yea that is -17 psi and I was also wondering what was wrong with because when boosting the ebc and stock boost guage are virtually identical but at idle its at -5 * 100mmhg and the ebc reads -17psi. So even if it says -17 psi 0n the ebc its reading inhg?

Just wanted to know if these readings are right? The stock and ebc boost gauage differ so much on idle posted a pic tell me what you guys think.

Just wondering if the apexi n-1 front/ dump pipe for a 95 gtr can fit on to a r33 gts-t? here is a link to see how it looks and its specs http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/price/Niss...1_Race_Use_Only I was wanting one for my 95 gtst but cant get a straight answer if it will bolt on directly or not tired of doing searches no info on it.

Hey all I have a 95 gts-t, mods are just air filter and ebc everything else stock. I was wanting to know why I cant seem to get 10psi to hold. I have a pit ebc and my lo setting is 10 psi when boosting it gets fairly close like anywhere from 7psi to 9psi but it does not hold 10 psi, even when it boost it fluctuates in between 7 and 9 psi and never really remains constant at al,l i might get 10 psi as a peak boost but not constant. Sometimes I even get over boost of 15 psi but 10 psi never holds. I wanted to kno if this is because i am still on the stock exhaust or should it be able to get to 10 psi and hold even without an exhaust? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Lol yea it is a big pain in the a$$ I been having headaches and migraines trying to figure this $h!t out and I'm a total noob.Like you said I'll just carry it to a mechanic and spend a couple of bucks rather than completely f up my ride.

Hey forum hooked up an ebc to my 95 gtst and the boost guage on it reads -15 psi at idle and when i look at the stock boost guage it;s sitting right above the -7 at about -5 mmhg now which one is more accurate? I was figuring the ebc but now im totally confused as to which one is the more accurate guage. Cause the stock is saying about -10 psi and the ebc is saying -15 psi at idle. Can anyone lend a helping voice please?

Thats the funny part it is an ebc. The name on it is PIT bcu. With you guys ebc what did you have your settings tuned to like start boost when the wastegate begins to open, gain how quickly the gate opens 100% being the quickest, warn this is the setting you put it to so if it ever reaches thatthe limiter kicks in and limits the amount of boost you get. If your ebc isnt like that can you suggest some figures to try. Cause I am stumped. Any help would be appreciated. Yes stock turbo and ecu. It holds the boost until i get close to redline then when its at like say 5500 rpm or so it overboost and thats in all gears except fourth and 5th. neer noticed fourth but it might be doing it in that as well. Do I want the waste gate to open at a higher or lower boost setting for 11psi on a stock turbo if i begin to open it at say 5psi would that be better than 3psi?

Hey forum just wondering if it is possible to see boost spikes of like 18 psi running through a stock 95 gtst only mods air filter iridium race plugs gapped at o.7 and a boost controller tuned to 12psi lo and 15 psi high. Now it doesnt hold the 18 psi for long cause the boost controller overboost setting kicks in at 16 psi and limits the boost to 10 psi but when looking at the peast boost made it reads 18 psi is that possible.

Yes it does have overboost protection which I have set to 16 psi. Im not an expert on these kinda things but doesnt that seem a bit high for stock boost the 16 psi and those few mods also i dont think its the overboost protection cause when it is activated it alerts me and it doesnt alert me when this happens. It just does this normally. Besides the mods I mentioned everything is stock do you have any suggestion for my boost settings at the moment they are lo 12, hi 15, over boost warn 16, wastegate starts to open at 3 and when over boost is initiated it limits boost to 63% of 16.Also there is a settingnamed gain that opens and shuts the wastegate 100% being the quickest and 1% being the slowest I have that set to like 30% but if I redline first or second and third i get the over boost warning. Wat can it b? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hey forum I need some assitance please. Does ne1 know what this problem can be, firstly I have a 95 gtst with a few mods simple stuff an ebc lo boost setting 11psi iridium spark plugs gapped at 0.7 and my stock air box was replaced by an air filter. The problem is when boosting especially in second running say at about 5000 rpm onwards boost at 11psi the car feels like it lunges forward then drops off then lunges againg does ne1 know what this can be and the boost guage shows the boost following the same pattern falling off to say about 9psi then back up to 10 or 11psi. i was wondeing if the car is miss firing or is this another problem any help would be greatly appreciated.
