  1. I just finished changing the spark plugs on my 1995 r33 gts-t. thought it would be a good idea to do this so I can know the history of my ride and therefore kno when i need to service and so on. neway the old sparks were denso irridiums IK16 gapping position I have no idea. I changed them with ngk platinum bkr5egp. What i want to kno is do certain spark plugs rob the engine of power. I ask this beacuse i feel like since I cahnged my plugs the car isnt as powerful, I use to be able to just use the clutch to get the car rolling in first gear now when i try this manuever the car rpm revs up and down feels like its about to cut off also the same thing for reverse. when in first and flooring it outta a first i would do powerslides wth ease now it just takes off I now have to rev it to spin the wheels. In second gear wth the irridiums in the burnout was noticablly longer than now with the platinums do spark plugs really have this drastic effect or is it all in my head?
  2. Well I just finished checking the wiring and I reversed the wires on the rear speaker polarities to make sure i didn't have +ve going to -ve, it didn't work same thing happened rear speakers are virtually nonexistant. Can hear the music playing out of it but no bass and when I have the cd deck on full blast the speakers have hardly any music coming out of it. Does ne1 think tht the speakers could be blown cus the wiring is not the problem.
  3. Lol lol I was sayin that i wired the HU correctly thats all. I will go check it out again just to make sure and the only wire i see on the head unit tht has anything to do with the antenna is the same wire we are talking bout. I cant believe they make head units without a wire to control the antenna being up or down when needed.
  4. The wire for the power antenna can be connected to the system control of the power amp or auto antenna relay control terminal thats wht it says and yea i faded the speakers and only a little sound comes out no matter how much i turn the head unit up i didnt try switchin the +ve and -ve leads tho cus i wired the HU to a tee plus the crimp caps I have dont allow to interchange +ve and -ve but guess I will have to try that somehow. I tried the balnce once I faded cut ont the amp(HU's Amo that is) and still the same thing can hear the song but no volume just stays exactly at the same low level sounds like only mids are coming through but no up and down.
  5. Hey I just installed an afm head unit in my r33. everything works fine except the rear speakers i can hear sound but its not loud at all not like the front speakers. I am using the factory speakers no subs or anything? Does ne1 have a suggestion to solve this also my antenna goes up as the unit is turned on and never goes back down. how can I get it to go up with the tuner and down when tuner is not being used. With the previous jap afm head unit it worked fine but after i installed my pioneer deh-p4800mp it just stays up as unit is powered on. I dont want it up unneccesarily as it takes away from the car to me any suggestions as to how tto solve this?and the wiring is correct as i went over it three times. The new head unit also has a wire tht connects to the poer antenna wire of the terminal so it should work right?
  6. What do you mean is not that accurate? So on the stock boost guage the needle should never be up to +7?
  7. Quick question for the forum. On a completly stock r33 no mods whtsoever, how many pounds of boost does the turbo make? The stock boost guage reads in mercury mm i think what does tht translate to on tht?
  8. Ok on the r33 gts-t i see the stock intercooler and the pipe tht goes to it what i want to know is where is the pipe tht comes from the turbo as I can't seem to find it. I was lookin at how to put up a fmic ad i see tht you use the same hole tht the stock intercooler was connected to. After i run the pipe through tht hole where do i connect it too. Remember Im a noob so go easy on me some pics would be nice as I am a visual person. Thanks in advance.
  9. Ok cool now i got another question for you. Wht type of bov can be bolted directly where the stock bov is located, also is there anything as a plumb back bov that is also atmo.
  10. Dont bite my head off and just bear with me a little not really a xar guy but will be after this. I wanted to kno if anyone has pics of the stock bov on an r33 gts-t either i am either blind or dont have one if u do have pics could you post emm? PIcs of it on the engine so I can see exactly where its located and pics of it off would be nice also I wanted to kno if an aftermarket plumb back bov would be any louder than stock. Also is the stock bov noise even noticiable cause i dont here mines at all when driving or just in idle and gasing it up. Thanks in advance.
  11. Quick question here mates which blow off valve would you guys recommend on a r33gts-t. I wanted to remove the stock one and replace it with one of the previous mentioned set. i also heard rumors tht puttin on an aftermarket bov will cause my car to stall. Is tht true? Of the two bov mentioned can any of these two be plumb back and if so which one will make the louder venting noise? Just wanting some advice before I mod my ride/ wouldn't want a mod tht causes me to stall.
