I did bring this up before but didnt get many responses. My catalytic converter is totally screwed, it makes a funny rattling sound like the ceramic crap is loose and rattling i guess. there seems to be more power but i need sum suggestions wether i should get a new cat on there, or just to get it checked. Im unsure wether i melted the temperature sensor too. Story was that i overheated the cat at the race track, didnt care and kept going, light went off, but funny sounds happened. theres no leaks just the annoying sound HELP ME

just pull it off. its only plugged in. it could be rust from around the holes that the plugs plug into. i doubt it will be bad rust.

if u arent really concerned about what car u get then you should just consider the economic and use factor, will u use it everyday, how far will u travel etc. Skylines do tend to be a bit heavy on the ocket for petrol, specially if u just lurrrve pushing that accelarator. i suggest sum front wheel drive toy, good fun, handbrakies are good fun too hehe

the AFM is right next to ur Filter Box or the POD filter, whatever u have on ur car. u can clean it with just water if u want, degreaser works well and contact cleaner.

backfiring aint bad, look at the V8 supercars etc. its good cos it means u have excellent flow

what do u think most cars intake pipes are made of? plastic of course, it doesnt melt man, it will only melt if ur car explodes. the fumes ? errr cant say ive heard that b4, if ur making it out of nylon or sumthing then i would reconsider

i occasionally take mine to its limit at 7500, going to 6-6500 is enough though, theres hardly any power after 6000 so no realy need unless u just want to hear the engine scream. GTR plenum would make u lose alot of kilometres per tank, but is sumthing i would love to do too
