  1. nah richo lost all rear grip. was sliding every corner
  2. they actually showed the in car shot and he had to fire the car up again. that and clutch slipping.. again
  3. haha stalled it. nice work
  4. my mate has a set of 32gtr wheels repainted in bronze/gunmetal grey, pm jonnyboy89 on ere,
  5. wanna sell the gtr injectors? pm me
  6. Any idea if the aftermarket pumps are heat treated and/or annealed at all? Generally if tool steel is used, its sent for heat treatment to correct the grain structure in the steel, making it tougher and/or harder.. therefore the way the steel is cut is irrelevant
  7. Yeah good cruise, hate to say it but looks like my mates gtr (Sniper) has done an oil pump. Coming onto diagonal rd we noticed the lack of oil pressure, and the night ended there unfortunately
  8. I don't think you'll have much luck with it as most rb25's have vct which the rb20 doesn't. rb20 ecu's are easier/cheaper to remap (tune) aswell.
  9. I'd just keep an eye on the temp gauge.. if it gets too hot then just chuck in an alloy rad and be done with it. they're fairly cheap these days
  10. rb20 ball bearing core... hah good one
  11. FWIW.. my turbo cefiro did not come with any bov out of the factory. I have no idea why but thats what all cefiro rb20's are like.. My car does idle fine, My car does not stall because of this hektik extra vacuum under braking. I'm fair over reading this crap from people claiming they know everything, yet they really have no idea what they're on about. Just listen to R34NRG and be done with it
  12. As far as I know the cams and the base tuning are different
  13. My cefiro rb20 is 2.5" dump into 3" dump back.. only 1 centre res and thats it. I love the sound of it.. no drone at all. Its actually fairly quiet on idle but absolutely screams on boost. I do rate the cefiro rb20 note quite a bit better than the 32 rb20, mainly due to the rougher sound. I dont have any videos of it at the moment though..
  14. did I miss something here? Anyway awesome build! Inspirational
  15. A dyno is used to diagnose problems just like this one. Just reving the engine while it's just sitting there isn't going to tell them anything so they put it on the dyno to load it up. Much more chance of finding the problem when its put under load. "We can't dyno your car..." pfft, dont you think this is what they do most days? find problems with engines?
  16. Nick033, The RB30 only comes in E and ET.. hence why people are doing the DET conversion. The RB30E motor is the one you want as it will have a good CR when bolting the DET head on (RB30ET block will cause a low CR). VCT is variable cam timing. The 26 head will always be better but the 25 will be fine for a mild build.
  17. mine is sorta resting on the bottom of the tank which makes it louder, when the fuel gets hot on a hot day you can really hear it outside the car, buzzing its ass off. it'll be fine mate. FWIW the walbro pumps are quieter but who cares when you got a decent exhaust anyway
  18. I'm running one in my cefiro.. hasn't missed a beat yet, its loud though.. nothing really to worry about, you get used to it
  19. around 300rwkw
  20. A little bit wet? wet with what? Theres nothing wrong with the stock ecu..
  21. yeah im guessing the deck height.. as its the standard item for the head anyway, thats probably the only reason.. I'm going to run one of these china copy plenums..
  22. A lot of the time the bores need machining and honing again, bearings and rings need replacing. The block needs a few modifications and a decent oil pump fitted. Also the crank needs work, oil pump drive needs upgrading... etc. The head.. you really should upgrade the valve springs to avoid them dancing at high rpm. It using the standard bottom end components then the rev limit should be around 7000 to be safe. I've heard the rb25 inlet manifold doesn't fit. I have read a fair bit of the "R33 RB30 Conversion" thread and can see things do add up quickly, but I can't see it getting towards 25k, I feel sorry for that guy. If you aim for roughly 300rwkw then it shouldn't cost much at all, seeing you can use the stock items. If its just for a street car then that power is more than enough, if for the track then you have to accept track work is expensive..
