Since thursday after work my car has had troubles with keeping charge in the battery. When I charge it while disconnected from the car it charges fine but not with it connected. I have not done any electrical work on the car recently, I am thinking the alternator has seen better days as the voltage on idle as around ~10.4V (after a jump start). I rev the motor a little and the voltage increases a little but no higher than ~11.8V. It misses on idle and low revs, I have turned the alarm siren off as it activates at low voltage. Also I've noticed the power steering cuts in and out at low revs/speed too, wanting to turn itself back to centre, this has only been happening since the voltage issue. The battery is an Optima yellow top, about a year of use. I'm going to get an auto elec to test the alternator, and everything else if thats not the issue, any ideas? Cheers

Been looking around for wheels for my Ceffy and thought about some Work XD9's and Meisters but I've seen this pic... I'm wondering if any of you guys know for sure what these wheels are? Thanks
-
Yeah mine sits a lot lower than 4000@ 100 in 5th. I have done a manual conversion on mine since it's been in aus too so it shouldn't be any different. I still have the stock auto diff too, not sure if there is any difference with the manual one.

Oh I just sent my old lady down to sprints to get some haha, parkers are parkers to me, i just dont like one of them not working. makes the car look even more ghetto
-
Ok thanks guys, I got them out, now to find some globes!
-
Ok so I need to change the parker globes in my ceffy, I can only see one screw holding the parker in which is on the outer top of the main headlight, how else is it held in? Thanks Chris
-
Is this what you have on yours?

"Front strut brace = A31 preferably, or 13 depending on clearance height" I've got this from the substitute parts list, does anyone have an S13 brace on their ceffy? or know of which one (CA or SR) clears the rb20 motor? Thanks alot Chris

R32 is double wishbone so no. Cefiro front (not sure about rear) is same as S13, ask Sydneykid on here for replacement bushes. He might be able to help you
-
cheers daisu, so you are actually using the 32 cat-back with the custom front pipe?
-
Can anyone tell me if an aftermarket R32 (or any other model) front pipe + cat-back will bolt up to a Cefiro? I've heard they do but just want to make sure Cheers

Exhaust Technology are on Goodwood rd, head south and take first left (do a u-turn left) after the underpass and you'll see them there
-
Yeha I love this kit, i'll be askin softy where he got his from in a sec. What actually got my attention to this kit was the side skirts! best skirts i've seen on a ceffy yet! Cheers
-
I have been wanting a Wonder or BN kit for a while but this came up and I love it. Anyone? Cheers
-
Yeah my Cefiro has the projector type lights too with the H3C globes and I agree the illumination ability is very poor. I don't see why you cant use the hid kit with it, as I was/am thinking of getting hid too, just lack of $$ at the moment
-
What he means is if you weld a non-lsd centre it will still lock
-
Thanks for the replies, will get in touch

Rb20 Cefiro And Rb20 32 Differences
Chris_A31 replied to silvercam's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
There are a few differences, one being the sensor plugs on r32 are round, square on a31. Also the r32 engine has a little more power in stock form. The r32 has factory bov and a31 doesn't. I have heard there is more potential for higher power outputs from the a31 engine, not exactly sure how or why though. Not sure on if the turbos are the same -
I'd say just do it, just let him know that your engine is under half the size of his too Got nothing to lose really, in the end... your still driving one of the most wanted cars of the nissan range and he's driving a holden. speaks for itself
