  1. Hi Guys and Girls I have just test driven a really nice 97 Stagea today and really need some advice. Now i have already got a SII R33 and this will be the family car (it was difficult work talking my wife into it) and I have had a really good look around the car and it is in fantastic condition, inside and out. 54K's on the clock an dit looks and drives like it is brand new. It has 17 inch advanti's (running 235's) Biestein suspension, 3 inch catback exhaust and pod.... now the question is, when i was test driving it, in second at around 4400-4500rpm(in power and normal) it seemed to suddenly drop 200-300rpm before continuing onto near the redline. Is this normal behaviour with the small mods and an auto gearbox??? Or is something not right???? also the air is buggered, but a re-gas should fix that..... the car drives really nicely apart from that. Thanks Joe

  5. As those officers took their positions, several others shut down the Broadwater car park at Southport, performing checks on dozens of young motorists. The District Traffic Branch, Department of Transport and officers from the State Traffic Taskforce were patrolling the roads to make sure no hoons escaped. are they young motorists or hoons????

  13. If the steering angle is incorrect, you will get an error code telling you that. I have a stock wheel on my series II R33. I do get an error code telling me that my speed sensor is not present. I have done this diag on several other R33's with great sucess.... I don't always get the car to wiggle it's bum ( it does this the first 5 or 6 times that you put it into diag mode) as I believe that you may need to reset the ECU after several attempts....... As everytime I try to put it into diag mode now for the HICAS, it just shows up the error code (21 in my instance) pretty much straight away.... When I get a chance, I will re-set the ECU and see if that makes any difference
  14. R34 is bigger mate and therefore flows better One of the cheapest and easiest upgrades for the R33 intercooler. Bolts straight in
  15. yeah mate i have had in diagnostic mode a few times... Having said that, the last time I tried it, it flashed up the codes but didn't do it's wheel moving thing...... But it still flashed up the error codes..... i might try re-setting the ECU and go from there... I tried it on my mates R33 the other day and it flashed the error codes... still no bum wiggling though...... not really sure why........ semd me your number by PM mate and I'll give you a call and talk you through it if you like would come over and show you but it's a bit too far to come
  16. as far as I am aware the HICAS ECU is independant of the main ECU..... that is all that bullshit in the boot the HICAS stuff

  20. Hey Dave Pop over and I'll have a quick look for you.... Sounds like a gasket
  21. There is a diagnostic check that you can run to tell what the problem is..... Start car and hold down the OFF button for 5 seconds and it will go into diagnostics mode..... It will then show you any error codes.
