i have a series 2 R33 and the brakes are awesome.... No mushiness at all...... the only thing that i have noticed is that if the brakes are really cold the first time you use them (like on hwy or similar) they don't grab quite as well..... However they work just fine after that initiial touch.... Great brakes actually, they pulled me up in a hurry to avoid a wallaby

That is pretty much what I did as well..... Cairns though.... bit backwards up here sometimes......

Well as soon as I said that he couldn't, but I was happy to wait for the paperwork, he kinda lost interest and just gave me the fine..... he did say that he could book me for my numberplates(as they have been bent to fir) but I said that it was done by the place where I bought the car and that I was sorry blah blah etc etc and that I would get it looked at.... But he looked at the tyre sizes and I was waiting for him to say something about them as well, but he let me go.... Wasn't willing to let him push me around, but was polite all the same

I got booked for doing 91 in an 80 zone recently and the cop wanted to go over my car inside and out.... I basically told him where to go as there was no sufficient reason for him to be inspecting my car. I showed him all the paperwork and that was it. I refused to open the bonnet (although said that i would happily wait with him for the paperwork to arrive) and basically he gave me the fine and let me go....

Correct me if I am wrong, but changing the diff even if the ratio has changed wont make the speedo read incorrectly as it is measured off the output shaft from the gearbox....... I might be wrong though

That is pretty good.... I would be lucky to get that if i tried really hard.... FOund that i use more fuel with BP ultimate (was using mobil 95)

Yeah I moved north to avoid the cops and speed camera and stuff like that You dont see too many cops up here, just usually the 4WD parked at the side of the road with the camera set up inside.....usually on a nice straight road with a liitle downhill bit right before the camera...... gotta love em

Mate that is pretty good fuel economy.. My car is fairly standard (just exhaust) and I get about 15-16L/p100kms around town and hwy driving is a little better at 13-14l/p100kms Diff ratio is like 4.3089 or something like that....

He was sitting in the righthand lane doing like 102kph and was in an un-marked nissan patrol... he plainly refused to move over and just kept hogging the right lane (slowly overtaking whatever) si I flicked my lights at him and gave him the "please move your slow arse back into the other lane" signal and that is when he finally moved over and then flashed his lights at me......the red and blue ones....... he pretty much got otta the car and had me by the throat before i could even fishish getting my harness off....... pretty scary... I thought that he was gunna kill me...... I don't abuse white patrols as a general rule now

Mate that sucks hard At least you got it back Hope the useless pricks that flogged it haven't done too much damage to the engine.....

Happened to me as well this morning

I got threatened by a cop on the hume hwy a few years back and by threatened I mean he had me by the throat and threatened to beat the living sh*t otta me if he ever saw me on the hwy again..... anyway to make a long story short, I did end up making a complaint and the outcome was well worth the effort.....

It has always been like that in Melbourne..... I got over that (and the roads) and moved north...... But you always get d**kheaads on the road, no matter where you live..... Especially those 17/18 yr olds new to driving (and cars in general) who just wanna drag everyone off at the lights, no matter what vehicle they are in.......

yeah one in really good condition (93) should set you back about $12K or $13K $9K is a bargain...... handling is x rated

nah the motors are pretty bullet proof.... the 1.6 is anyway, the 1.8 is a heavier motor and therefore the handling is not quite as good as the 1.6... oh and the 1.6 is quicker (don't ask me why or how, just is) but if your not driving it i wouldn't stress 148k,s is pretty good.... most of thenm at that age have over 200 on em
