  1. Import it yourself, easier than you think and you cut out the middle-man.
  2. Compared to SF Vanilla, it seems: Everyone does less damage, matches last longer (yay for Akuma!) Ultras do less damage. Game seems slightly faster. Sagat significantly weaker. Ryu slightly weaker. New characters all pretty strong, Dudley in particular. Hakan is good for lulz. Takes a like a week or so, but once you are used to it you truly appreciate it, especially when it comes to P-Linking and Double Tapping for 1 frame links and combos requiring a lot of circular motions.
  3. Hi Guys, I have an Apexi Power Fc Boost Control Kit, came off an R34 GT-T (so has 34 map sensor), also suits the following: S13 (SR20DET) - Nissan S14A (06/96~) - Mitsubishi EVO CP9A - Mitsubishi EVO CT9A - Subaru WRX GC8 (09/96~) $350. Costs $730 brand new, http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=16826 PM or call 0404 723 623 I'm in Melbourne, will post at buyers expense. Ali
  4. Exactly right, if you can prove that your vehicle is legal and the PO ignores this, then that suspicion does not amount to reasonable suspicion. See below. As above, you can record any conversation you are privy to without the consent of the other party. Note that police also often record the conversation so be careful of being tricked into admissions.
  5. Mere suspicion alone will suffice for a police officer (PO) to issue you with an EPA notice. If he is wrong and the matter is taken to court, the PO would have acted within the ambit of his power, unless it can be established beyond reasonable doubt that the suspicion was poorly formed (that is, whether a reasonable person in the same position would have evoked the same suspicion or not). Some factors that will substantiate suspicion include: a) The vehicle being a common vehicle that is modified and thus in violation of EPA laws. b) The very presence of an after market exhaust. Thus, theoretically you can challenge an EPA notice that is made on the grounds of unwarranted suspicion, but it is highly unlikely that you will succeed. In addition to the above, the PO never 'lies' and magistrates are extremely favourable towards a PO in accepting their integrity and thus in preventing the ''possible obstruction or hindrance'' of the implementation of the law. NB: I'm a Lawyer. So this isn't a google opinion or something lol.
  6. Besides the above, also check your AFM.
  7. lol. Herald Sun....analysis worthy? Surely you jest good sir.
  8. haha thanks man. So many people have asked to buy the rims now hehe......(should put stockies back on it at this price and sell em separate!)
  9. Yep, Dudley= New Sagat. No Hugo......3S characters are Makoto, Ibuki, Dudz.... I'm not going to use him because of that, I actually like his play-style.
  10. Hey guys, I am in need of a stock R34 GT-T manual ECU. Wreckers are asking stupid prices and I've seen them go for a lot less on SAU. Thanks, Ali (Can mods please leave in VIC section for a day or two as its a bit urgent)
  11. Yep power-fc. Bump, price still $14,500 with no RWC.
  12. Deposit taken. Sold pending full payment.
  13. I am! Can't wait either, going to learn to use Dudley and maybe Hakan for a laugh. Ibuki looks alright too. (Already skilled with Akuma and to a lesser extent Balrog )
  14. Price Drop $14,500 no RWC, as is, see above for what would be required.
  15. Some new pics: Price is still $16,999.
  16. ^^^ Nanny state ftw! Everytime people post and complain about cops, the stock SAU reply is "Drive normally and nothing will happen." or "Don't drive a car that can be defected." Yeah right lol, I've had cops drive over nature strips and hills to pull me over. Some of you are just lucky. Furthermore, this thread substantiates that if a cop wants to defect you, he can (and will) for just about anything. By and large I do not like the police and yes I have a victim mentality, having owned around 15 turbo-powered imports since I've had my Ls, I've only been done for speeding once. Some hoon I am! That said, if you drive an import, expect defects. So meh. No amount of good driving will save you. That said, it does help your cause as does being polite when pulled over.
  17. Many buyers I have dealt with prefer a modified car, so after I get the RWC i put the illegal mods back on at their request, knowing full well that the risk lies with the buyer only and informing them of this. Did you get the RWC issued yourself, or was this done by the seller? If the seller arranged for the RWC, then the mechanic simply has to say the car was returned to stock for the inspection and must have been changed (either at your request or not) after the RWC was issued. The mechanic will escape all liability this way.
  18. Well, the majority of people might think that the road rules are indeed too strict, it doesn't have to be an election issue for people to have an opinion on something. They might indeed want to see change, but like you said the issue isn't weighty enough to warrant lobbying for change when there are clearly bigger issues at hand. Which leads back to the original point I made....just because the Government wasn't ousted, doesn't mean people don't want relaxed road rules (as per your original comment).
  19. . Double post.
  20. . Double post.
  21. I said comparatively trivial, road rules certainly aren't about to serve as the key determinant in any election any time soon. I agree certain key policies can cause voter swing, but generally speaking people aren't going to vote for a single policy unless it is a massive issue, additionally being voted out because of poor policy is vastly different from being voted in because of potential policy. Anyways, massive sidetrack in this thread, so going along with it all, this is what I will add: The majority of voters find themselves in ''strongholds'', Labor/Liberal safe seats. Certain voters find themselves in swing seats, where the vote swings from election to election depending on mood and these people are the election deciders. If you happen to be in a marginal seat, enjoy having a meaningful vote, because most of us do not enjoy the same liberty. So a lot of the time when people say ''I'm going to vote Labor next time" or vice versa, it accounts for little. The beauty of a two-party preferred system. Side-track complete.
  22. lol, not really. Political policies are multi-faceted, what you suggest is absurd. A State Government does not win an election based on a single policy consideration alone, especially on something that is comparatively trivial. I've been to the USA, I have relatives there, Australia is considerably better in all areas. Canada however is comparable.
  23. Australia is over-regulated in general, not just when it comes to road laws, there are regulations for everything and anything you can think of. Red tape left, right and centre. I recall reading somewhere (can't remember where, might have been for some Law unit at Uni) that Australia is officially the most over-regulated country in the Western world. Seems plausible.
  24. Instinct told me to take my Mum's car tonight, instinct paid off. I must have seen about 10 cop cars and got breath tested. Happened to walk through, was some sort of Greek Festival, lots of stalls and some live (i presume famous) singer performing. lol, i find this fact so annoying. It simply elucidates the flaws in the motivation that underpins the actions of the Police in general (not all members, but indeed many!) A reward-results based system in a competitive environment fosters more competition and increased productivity, unfortunately, this detracts from the argument that the average police officer is inherently unbiased as financial motivation clearly has the capacity to alter supposed 'neutrality'. There needs to be no attraction whatsoever in 'improving stats' but for the prevention of crime and maintenance of civil order, perhaps that way we will see officer discretion exercised more often.
