  1. Nice. Hope your investment actually pays off.....
  2. True, if you think about it, at the end of the day, the car would just be a 100k+ Nissan, i've tried explaining the concept to my dad, its just beyond him...
  3. I wouldn't define that as rice..... Looks good.
  4. There is a sentence in BIG BLUE writing you might just wanna pay attention to.
  5. I like rev limit launches. That said, I also like dori dori. But i prefer better handling, launching over going sideways.
  6. In Excels, any sort of upgrade is ricey. LoL.
  7. I was informed, that it was required by law, in case an emergency situation arose in which a stranger, unfamiliar with your car, would have to drive your car. Makes a bit fo sense I guess.....
  8. Haha, well the H pattern was faded on my GTR (that was before I bought my shiney new silver RAZO shifter ) I got a RAZO H Pattern sticker with the shifter, heres a pic of the H pattern (couldn't be bothered fitting the actual shifter yet back then, lol in case you're wondering where the Razo shifter is) If you want you can buy the shifter/h pattern off ebay. Also, guys that make decals/windscreen stickers usually have H patterns. If you're cheap, you can make your own crummy looking one as well. LoL.
  9. LoL, gone are the days when they were satisfied with non turbo, auto models.
  10. bwahahahahha. LoL.....that's a classic. Another, "C m3 FlY iN my GemINi" old, but still funny.
  11. Exhuast note ain't half bad either.....
  12. Hey mate, Nice choice there. Firstly, this topic has been covered a solid 6-7 times in the last few weeks, so try searching. Here's one link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=91039 Plenty more. Best way to tell kms is by the condition of the interior, MOST Skylines have been wound back sometime in their lives, but so long as the condition of a vehcile is good, kms shouldnt bother you. Make sure you get the car fully checked out by a performance mechanic before you buy it, particulalry the standard engine checks (compression/leak down tests.) They are not cheap to fix or maintain. Essentially the engines are the same, but obviously more refined and better developed the newer the generation of engine. And yes, all three are just about as quick as each other, in a straight line (R32 being the quickest, followed by R34, then R32) On the track, the newer the car the better it will perform. : Hope this helps, try a search for more info.
  13. hehe yeah I do. Just imported it via the 15yo rule. Nice car indeed, but trust me, Skylines are better.
  14. Most of them are suprisingly accepting of the fact that GTRs are quicker. Ofcourse there is always the guy who thinks his standard car will beat anything! LoL, like a few GTST (pretty standard) owners that have claimed to beat STis on this forum....sif.
  15. haha soooooo TRUE. Geelong is Bogan/Surfie central.
  16. haha as I said, a few can look ok. I'm pretty sure Golgo also had the balls to match.
  17. Yeah you're not alone with the R34s. Without sideskirts they look terrible, coz they look pretty big. But with a nice kit/rims they looks pretty hot. The front/back lights own it as well. door stickers haha..... true that, shopping lists belong on Hondas. 1 or 2 stickers are ok though, IF the car really has "HKS" etc parts.
  18. hmmm....there were 3 of them, (assuming) you were on your own. LoL they must have been on drugs, or are REALLY REALLY stupid, that said they WERE bogans.
  19. What would you define as fully race prepped? IMO, upgraded engine/turbo+ supporting mods, brakes, suspension, weight reduction, i.e removal of most of the interior etc etc. So, i think in terms of street driven GTRs, the weight difference would be negligble. 400kW or not (assuming those cars have more than just a drivers seat and a few tachos!)
  20. haha true. I stick my window down the side sometimes and often rest it on the window sill, but don't go out of my way to touch the road lol They also try and sit as low as humanly possible, dunno how they see over the wheel.
  21. haha lucky indeed. From my experience, black smoke just means ur running rich, blue smoke, as mentioned above, oil, white smoke=engine aboout to die.
  22. How long to DOTARS actually take, i think they are pretty efficient. In most cases, its the RAWS workshops inaction that causes delays. Once they have your deposit, they can take their time.
  23. Totally agree with you. I'm not going to lie. I wouldn't say I thrash cars for no reason, its either to get up to the limit quickly, or for that occasional bit of fun. I sometimes enjoy a bit of fun at the lights and go past the speed limit etc. I often speed, but nothing ridiculous. I've had my Ps for 2 years now, 1 speeding fine. So not too bad. I'm surprised at the number of do-gooders on this site I mean, i can understand not racing, but speeding, everybody speeds, even if its just occasional. But if you really don't speed/drag, good on you. Credit where credits due.
  24. That's a bit of faulty logic. Just because the majority own R33 GTSTs doesn't necessarily mean that they all find them better looking than the R32, i've previously owned an R32 GTST, and R33 GTST. Only reason I upgraded to the R33 GTST, was coz of the RB25 engine, better interior, more space. I must admit though, i do think R33 GTSTs looks better than R32s (not the GTRs though I just love the aggresive lines and pumped guards on the R32s.) But often people by R33s as a compromise for the bigger engine, bigger/better interior. There have been a few polls on here and the R32 was voted to be the most popular shape, despite R33s being the most common Personally, I think the R33s are sedan like, particularly the GTSTs. And yes, they are very common, but NOT NECESSARILY coz people prefer them. It is because of import regulations, recently, heaps of R32s came in under the 15yo rule, that's why you seen a greater number of them these days. Most Skylines that are imported are R33, through the RAWS scheme, as there are VERY FEW people offering compliance via RAWS for R32s, THIS IS WHY you see so many R33 GTSTs. So you'll find more people generally like the R32 shape. Each to their own though. IMO, looks go in this order: R32 GTR>R33 GTR>R33 GTST>R32 GTST At the end of the day they are all Skylines, I love and have owned, every shape. But the R34 owns all.
  25. I've come up with a nice one for an R33: SW33T Sweet, R33, Turbo AND, its still available.
