Thanks. We have some footage of the perpertrators, but it is not clear enough to make out faces/regos etc. Does anyone know someone that is an expert at "zooming in" or analysing security footage? Still looking, the cops aren't much help at all, called em at 9.30am, they rocked up at 4.45pm. Stayed for 5 mins, left. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey everyone, Someone stole one of my cars. It was a ca18det 180sx, from the Thomastown area, near Pipeworks, from a panel shop. Fence was ripped off. It was uncomplied, unregistered. Car was silver, the front passenger side quarter panel was a mismatched silver, the rear driver side had a space saver. Prominent "MACHNE" street racing stickers in blue/silver on the rear windscreen and sides. Stolen anywhere between Sunday 7pm and this morning 8am. Any info would be great, just keep your eyes open for the car, or cheap parts. I hope I find them before the police. Thanks, Ali.

Ok. Technically, they are "supposed" to destroy aftermarket parts, i.e exhausts etc, but how are the authorities going to find out if the car came standard or modified? So I doubt that any workshop would actually destroy the parts. Now, in terms of standard parts, your compliance guy dude, should be able to help you out, when I got my 33 GTST (about 6 months ago, sold it 2 months ago) the workshop allowed me to "rent" their standard exhaust, airbox, rims with new tyres, I just had to pay this "rent" and also labour for removing and replacing the parts. I'm pretty sure whoever does your compliance will know where you're coming from when you mention renting his parts etc. Hope this helps, Ali.

For 15k you should be able to afford a GTST, there are always ppl out there who are in a hurry to sell.

Hey guys, Well, seeing as how my engine is currently being rebuilt (i.e the engine is out of the engine bay) I think now is the best oppurtunity I will have to respray my car, the proper way (incl. door jams, engine bay, boot, underneath.) Now I've been researching colours to paint my car and I've decided that I will go with a Purple/Dark Blue that flips into another colour(s) My question mainly relates to the availibility of these type of paints, so far, I've come across the House of Kolor, Kameleon range, specifically the Purple to Orange colour, only problem is cost, at $1010 per litre, I don't see it feasible. Other range i've come across is the Standox Exclusive Line, which also has some very nice colours in the range, at more moderate prices, about $450 a litre. My question is whether anyone knows specific companies that have a Special Effect paints range, such as the HOK and Standox (specifically the colour changing/chameleon paints) available in Australia. Sorry about the long post, but any help will be appreciated, as I'm nearing the stage where I will be required to buy the paint ASAP. Thanks, Ali.

Well my mechanic said to start of with a mineral oil for some reason, then after xxx kms move on to semi-synthetic, then after another xxx kms move on the synthetic.......don't think that really helps lol......but yeah, I haven't got my car back yet either so i'd be interested to hear brand names etc. Must be glad to get it back!

I'm not being moody, I'm stating the facts. Facts are, the same driver, given a GTS and a GTST, would perform better in the GTST. It's called reality. Sure they'd win, if the other driver missed a gear, shifted at 4000rpm etc etc....Sure if u get lucky u get lucky, but most of the time u won't. As for 100mL and 2 extra turbos compensating for ability........you haven't seen me drive, nor have I seen you drive, so neither you or I can comment, but I can assure you this, when I drive my GTR (when its functional LoL) I drive it like they should be driven....... Peace.

LoL...I don't care if you're Ralph Schumacher, you're not about to beat a GTST in a GTS (assuming its standard) UNLESS the driver of the turbo vehicle is totally incompetent. If he has half a brain, he'd win.

umm don't have the details on me now....i'll hav em up 2moro. The place is called "Ultra Finish" They are in Thommo. Full spray job in and out in 3-5 days (depending on the condition of the body)

Yeah that's true, but MACHNE is a genuine show car, paint job is awesome, no buff marks etc.

Sounds about right. After all its not a "COMPLETE" spray job, i.e panels, door jams, under boot carpet, engine bay, underbody. Never heard of or seen any of their work before.

Hey no need to get all defensive, I'm just saying there is some legitemacy in his request. No matter how much you clean turbos, you can tell roughly how old they are, or how much they've been used by looking at them.

You can get a general sense of the condition of turbos, by looking at them.
