In terms of age, yes its a downgrade. But as a car in general, most people would consider going from a R33 GTST to a R32 GTR as an upgrade!

It seems to me that the emphasis of a lot of people is on "the power to weight ratio" and "p-platers." Banning P platers etc is not the solution. Not all P Platers in Skylines or other Turbo cars are irresponsible. Only the minority 'misbehave', which generally, creates a negative view of turbo cars in general. I agree, that the 'Hoon' issue is actually grossly exaggerated and far from the truth, its something that's been around for a while and will continue to stay around. It hasn't grown in magnitutde....its all about ratings "Hoons have taken over the roads, we are all the victims of thier negligent behaviour." All I'm saying is that P platers are not the source of the problem, different drivers in different vehicles are the problem. Sadly, as long as there are cars, there will be 'hoons.' I'm not saying that I don't like giving my cars a squirt now and then, as I would be a liar, but I'm not some sort of moron that does a burnout every 2 seconds. Want a solution to the problem? There isn't one. Cars and Hoons will always go hand in hand.....if anyone thinks they have a solution, I'd like to see them apply it and fail miserably.

Yep, the cop always wins in these sort of situations....my hatred for them grows. The thing is, she really wasn't doing anything wrong (if she was really backing the car into the drive way) and for a police officer to give her hell, fine her and make her miserable is just wrong. He should be out there arresting thieves and what not. Although if the matter is taken to court, even if victory is unlikely, at least your mater and his mother will have had the satisfaction of having to haul the police to court and wasting some of their time. Yeah, def. go the R33 GTR. If you're more into looks, go the R34. But, a GTR is a GTR.

When you say 30K, does that include the cost of modifications or just the car? Best buy with that sort of money (just for the car) would be a late model R32 GTR or early model GTR 33 or GT-T R34. Plus the 100g worth of mods you'll need for a 10sec car.

While we are on the topic of stock interiors....does anyone have any idea how much it would cost me to replace all coloured parts in the picture, to standard parts?

LoL....Skylines have always been cool. And I liked that Skyline from 2F2F! I saw it in person in LA @ Universal Studios, some Paul Walker look a like was driving it around, making that gas vent out, looks pretty cool.

Is the key actually turning the whole way round, or does it turn most of the way then, resist? It could be the actual ignition switch. My car wouldn't start normally, only when pushed. Opened the case underneath the steering wheel, ignition barrel and switch, found that it was cracked. Replaced the ignition switch (easy, just a screw and a few plugs) and solved the problem.

Not really. The R33 GTS-T is the most common Skyline (in Melbourne anyway)
