335s are dropping because people are anticipating the release of the new F series coupe. Even though that seems quite some time away. So I'd say it is a good time to buy. Spend a few thousand on this site: http://www.burgertuning.com/ plus labour, you're looking at an easy 300rwkw. (I'm talking the older n54 engine, the n55 still has good gains but not as high being a single). If anyone wants a ride in a tuned 335i hit me up!

Anybody have/know of someone selling an ECU for an R34 GTR? Also need a stock frontbar...or I could fix the old one I guess. Looks bad though.

I bought parts from them twice. Once an RB26 head and once some coilpacks. No complaints here.

All the cars you've listed are at completely different price points. R34 GTR will be much cheaper than an M3 or C63 AMG. Your real comparison should be R34 GTR vs FPV vs HSV. Personally I'd pick the R34 GTR over an FPV/HSV. And I'd pick Euro over an R34 GTR. The Euro will always be more classy. I'd pick an R35 over the Euros though. Another car you might want to consider is a 335i (rwd, twin turbo). You can get an early model (06-07) coupe for around the 55k mark. You can also get it in hardtop convertible for around the 70k mark if that floats your boat. They are very understated from the factory and close to m3 performance. Spend around 3k on the car and you'll have 290-300rwkw easy. Yet another option is the 135i, similar to the above but a bit cheaper. But it is the 1 series, so you are sacrificing a bit when it comes to the interior and looks (they're fugly IMO) and they have the stigma of being a girl's car.

The cynic in me thinks that they might get audited/reviewed every now and then, so maybe they take extra caution with the camera in place? Other than that, good on him. There are some good cops out and about. I was let off once when I was clearly speeding 10-15km/hr over the limit. I won't compare the good with the bad though lol, we'll be here all day.

I went to Dubai recently. 35c a litre for 98 octane. Petrol isn't even a factor. I know we can never have petrol that cheap as we can't just shove a pipe in the ground and hope for the best. But still. While we're on the topic of price disparity, my friend had a 2010 S500 AMG, every option known to man, $90,000 brand new. If we should complain about anything, it should be that. Brand new m5 will cost $90,000 in the USA.....we will probably pay double if not more. Dealerships or Stealerships? Let Holden/Ford build better cars or sink.

Best solution is to get a car that suits your lifestyle and budget. If you want to allocoate a large part of your income towards a car, that's your perogative, but the best option is to live within your means. Or just increase your means.

I have no idea about it. I have a meth kit, as it came as part of a tuning kit for my car. The ECU in my car does have a 'meth' map. I might have the same kit or similar. But mine says something about mixing water and meth in the window washer bottle. Too much confusion. Anyone actually installed one or know of someone who has? Also, where to get the right meth from? Cheers.

Guys does anyone know much about meth kits? Methanol injection kits, connected to FMIC etc. Need knowledge input if so. Haha. It is in the pipeline actually, but looking at another 12 months minimum. . Very busy with other stuff atm.

Hmm the iDrive warning is pretty annoying too. So I'm going to have that disabled. I think closing the convertible roof with the lock button would be pretty cool. (I can open it like that, but can't lock it in similar fashion).

There are some feral colours indeed. I feel like hitting the guy who came up with 'platinum bronze' (essentially 80s champagne colour). Oh and Marakesh brown (a lot of the X1s and X3s come in that colour). A lot of the dark blue(s) and grey(s) seem to be cheaper too when it comes to the 335s. Black and white are always more expensive.

And if you spend another 2-3k on the 335i, it will make around 270-290rwkw easily. Although I think people are asking too much for e92/e93 models. There are some cheap ones to be had if colour combo doesn't bother you.

As if you let them repair your brand new car? I would have pushed for them to write it off and got a brand new replacement with no kms on the clock. (At least that is the policy with AAMI, not sure about RACV).
