  1. I know being form Texas he would have been touching my sweet ass stock TA there would have been some ass whoopin going on.
  2. Well seeing that I'm in the process of getting a Skyline my answer doesnt really count....LOL I think the GTR is a great car and is a great platform. But for a DD having a little more off the line without having to rev it to the moon for a launch I'd go with the GtS-T. I myself am getting a auto GTS4 and doing the brake upgrade and dropping a turbo RB25 and a 3000 stall. Nothing like AWD and a boosted launch. I just drag little here and there. Not really into circuit racing love to watch it but not for me. My thing is just to have a fun ride. Doesnt have to be the fastest just make me smile.
  3. Well got outbidded for her looks like I'm gonna lose the silver one.
  4. Well a camaro/firebird can be made to haul ass in a straight line no doubt. But once again its how you set the car up. they are so many parts to make them handle as good as vettes. I know its not AWD but hey they can take some pretty serious corners. Yeah I know it would be a hassle to ship one in and etc but I was just adding a my experiences. Please not trying to buts balls or anything but a a camaro/firebird is no way shap form close to a commodore. I have never seen a 4 door camaro/firebird. As a circuit car I figure it wouldnt be half bad.
  5. 15K and 21K Hell for that much I better get shipping, my dishes washed and house cleaned and a reach around.
  6. Well since there really was no real restrictions on cars and where they are from for 6K USD which is about 8KAUD you can get a camaro/firebird that is street legal and most run in the 11's for this amount. you add another 2 k and you can get a 10 sec car that street legal hard to believe that for 8k USD you can have a car that runs in the 10's and drive everyday. Well if you could afford the fuel. I know prolly not what ya'll want to read but hell I'm here to add color
  7. Being new to this type of car I have a question for you T04GTR You being a mechanic and all I'm getting a R33GTR but being a Auto type guy I want to convert it to. I have been told that a Auto form a Stagea will bolt right up with min probs. Is this the case? Thanks in Advance
  8. geeeee can't we just get along?
  9. Bah... get the tissues and get over it. Cars are made to be driven. Trailer, Dyno queens are nice but you cant really drive them. You will always loose money on any car. A car is only worth how much someone is willing to pay. You have an all original 50-60's vette or jag or whatever you wont loose money on those but I dont know too many ppl that would pay for a totally stock vette or jag mint condition that has no mod cons unless it was just some rich guy to add stuff to his collection. Figure those odds. Same token I've sen guys in the states that drop stupid amounts of money on their cars and and just barely get half of what was invested. As for auto, man those that hate em have never really been in a drag car that has them set up the right way. nothing like just point the car and hit the gas. As for road racing you need a stick but as tech advances it starting to give those manuals a run. You guys are prolly gonna hate me but I'm looking to put a auto to my R33 GTR. so I'll have a 6 speed up for sale when its done. Nothing like a boosted launch 2500 stall and AWD to blow the doors of most cars down the track.
  10. With the size of our cars in the states weight would not be that much of factor. Besides you gain soooo much more have a the quad cam anyway. It was just cost. That I can remember. The minute you say corvette price of parts doubled, minute you say ZR1 man that was special order. Then the brass at GM said it was too expensive to keep making them and no one buying them.... so it was cut. As for boats there is still afew out there. I personally love the 427BB 7.0L for you guys with accents
  11. You know fellas I'm old school as they come. Being a V8 guy my whole life I'm still kinda partial to them. You can say what you want about the Chev and ford errr I mean holden. THey are cheap to mod. esp in the states. As for being a dinosuar bro all I have to say to you is "King of the Hill" For those that don't know what that is look up ZR1 Corvette it was a quad cam 5.7L that redlined at 7000rpm. If I rememeber correctly was over 400+hp out of the box and that was back late 89 to 95. But they did do a quad cam V8. the reason it dint take off was cost. Technology is there just depends how much you wanna pay. As for me I like the HSV new line is it my fave nahhhh I'm a vette man. But I've had my fun with the V8 just not the King of the Hill. I love fast cars no matter who makes them. And to all you V8 haters....... Dont hate the playa hate the game
  12. Cool easy concept but which is actually better? Wouldn't it be better to control the turbo so you can use more effecintly? Do they make quiet BOV.
  13. Ok I warned ya'll about these and here it comes. What the hell is the difference between a BOV and a wastegate?
  14. Nah why would I work when i dont have too... I do have a job and the dough goes to other stuff in our Empire. Hey D what the HID kit you bought?
  15. You know i like the skylines, and supra's and most other sports cars but to me Just in my opinion I always feel like Mistu cars are made cheaply. Maybe not the car but the interior. Seems like they are cheap looking plastic and for what you pay for I feel its very similar to a daewoo or kia interior. just my 2 pennies
  16. She's the one with the trust fund or as they once said, "the one with the gold makes the rule" Either not complaining I'd never would have considered a Skyline if she didnt like thie idea of importing for the states.
  17. Bro let me tell she was a beast has a 4000 stall and 4.88 rearend. Wasnt tubbed but with full on slicks she would spin just a bit and just snap your neck. in the quart she prolly run in the high tens low 11's.... which doesnt seem that fast but you are also moving a land yacht. She was super heavy but a real head turner man I miss it just not the petrol bill...lol
  18. No no pics yet ( havent been sent to my personal comp but the dealer has a few) Silver with 59000KM on her Thats it for now more I know the more I'll let ya'll know
  19. Thanks peeps I might mention as well i have a R33 GT-R on order
  20. I just wanted to drop in and say hey. I'm a transplant from the states married an Aussie and here I am in WA. I was looking to getting a Syclone/Typhoon brought over from the states but the wife wasn't too keen on it. Being I wanted something different that I havent played around with and I wanted an AWD car the Sy/Ty was my choice. But since I was told no by the "boss". I decided the closest thing to what I wanted was a skyline. So guys keep a lookout for me on this board because I plan and intend to prolly ask some really stupid questions. I've built my share of street cars in the states.. ( 69 Charger RT 512rwhp, 75 Vette with 400+ hp, camaros firebirds, 56 GMC Pick up (ute to you guys) with 480rwhp 86 mustang, list goes on and on) See ya'll soon Rex
