Hi guys, I have a Vl Berlina and gettin my father to do a host of engine mods to it for me, it's N/A and a Berlina, sick of seeing Calais Turbos so dont want one... and is it just me or is there like 400,000 VL turbo Calais?? haha anyway, it will be a real quick N/A Berlina, lookin at boring it out to 3.1-3.2L (how every many mm dad says is safe to do) head work, stage 2 cam, extractors, CAI, heat wrapped intake and extractors too... getting done over the next 3 weeks. Also painting it Dark Blue over Silver. But the main reason for this post is to find out wat LSD I can put onto it... providing i cant find or afford a VLt lsd for it (and no im not gettin a locker, i plan to be able to park the car somewhere without screech screech) can i use a VN or above diff centre? does anyone know the alternatives opposed to a VLt diff coz they are kinda rare... thanks fellas, Josh

Well either way mine is just an RB30E and im pretty sure that he was slapping a turbo on, got all drop forged pistons and what not for internals and cost him a shitload too...

Alright thanks man, I will run that by one of the guys at a dyno shop around here. But i've been told there pretty useless mothers workin those dynos so i might have to travel to try and find a not-shit dyno mob. But still they might be able to get that gear in and be able to tune it (hopefully). Is that all i will need though to suit the stage 2 cam? Thanks guys, Josh

Hi guys, most of yas all seem to know wat ur on about with regards to skylines/vl's (RB engines) so heres my situation. I have a VL Berlina 87 model, have a large ass bore throttle body on it that my father made for me, CAI with a pod hangin off it and 2.5" straight through. Extractors, stage 2 cam and head work (courtesy of my father) will be getting done soon and it should be pretty beasty. Its strangely fast now as it is haha but i want faster. He did an engine for a guy who had stage 2 cam on an RB30ET and he cant remember wat ECU he used for it. Wondering if you guys new wat i could use for one to cope with an RB30E with a stage 2 cam in it, and preferably not a whole ECU set up, rather a piggyback comp or something easier and simpler... Any suggestions welcome, Thanks guys Josh
