  2. unsecured wireless - serves you right
  3. Yeah GoldZilla I'm thinking the bottom one would have been best in that case but actually - the main problem was probably just the long shutter speed... also try turning on auto ISO maybe reason i say this: you were on aperture priority mode - and you had it open all the way - which is good. but because you had the ISO fixed to 100 it means the camera has to leave the shutter open for so long generally when using a tripod or shooting in bright light the lower the ISO the less noise you have in a shot BUT no use having ISO so low that you get blur aperture - how big the lens is open shutter speed - how long the shutter stays open ISO - how sensitive the sensor is ps you can take awesome shots using auto/program modes
  4. erm.. what does that mean exactly
  5. GoldZilla you didn't ask for advice so feel free to ignore this Noticed you were using "Spot Metering mode" which is probably not really what you want.. 450D Metering modes: Evaluative metering (linkable to any AF point) Partial metering (approx. 9% of viewfinder at center) Spot metering (approx. 4% of viewfinder at center) Center-weighted average metering (taken from here) Also try giving the built in flash a go - its not quite as bad as people make out!
  6. From the weekend - went camping up at Goomburra Section (Cunningham's Cap way) Our new cat And the sky this morning for the meteor shower - saw 30+ meteors in the hour or so but none of them showed up in the trail - clouds did though

Secondly - as for tips/criticism - I'm no pro so don't take this too heart but IMO: 1st one is a bit under exposed/dark, and plant in foreground is a little distracting I like the 2nd one! bottom three pics: colours are a bit too intense I think 5th one: whats the smudge? rain drop on lens? like the pano

  16. Since you're a beginner I'll suggest: Bright daylight - Auto Night time - Auto Action shots: freeze the moment - Sports Action shots: blurry background - Shutter Priority (Tv) using 1/250 Lots of smoke - Auto Far distance - Auto ps. enjoy
