  3. Tell local papers you want $5 per photo Then tell the missus you are earning HEAPS!
  4. my advice would be to shoot more spend less (so to speak) I know a guy who keeps buying shit - doesn't even use it (or even know how to!)
  5. Yeah my reply was along the lines of "If I spend around 20 hours (5hrs shooting & 15hrs processing) at $20 per hour that's $400. (That's if I get paid purely for my time). If there are 10 cars that's only like $40 per car which isn't that bad. We can give each person a DVD of the photo's" and never heard anything back! head-nail-hammer
  6. Yeah SAU QLD Exec wanted me to do a shoot with 10 cars.. for free!
  7. Nice pic mAtb0y!
  8. I'm assuming this is a HDR of sorts.. which is good for the car but creates some halo'ing around the bridge. Might be worth overlapping this image over a single exposure in photoshop and then 'erasing' the halo bits so the normal single exposure shines through. (wow didn't explain that very well - maybe someone like Kory knows what I mean and what that is called...)
  9. Err... yeah... scroll up 30cm
  10. Wow Slim really like those first two!!

  13. Good work Nick - very professional looking ps cant see any customers...
  14. Shoulda cloned out the bottom right corner
  15. - Shoot portrait (ie camera vertical not horizontal) - Overlap lots - I normally over lap each shot by 50% (ie half of the photo was in the previous photo) - Shoot manual more (maybe shoot first one in auto and see what settings camera suggest) - Don't stuff around too much - shoot them quickly to minimise cloud movements etc - but remember to hold camera still while actually taking the pic
  16. Hmm I'd suggest doing it again but just before sunrise or just after sunset - will make a massive difference Maybe also try bumping up the ISO a little..
  17. Maybe?! I thought it was a step since R33's are so high

  21. click on the list i spent so much time adding? /\/\atT the non VC tammy is suppose to be very sharp! (which is why im so tempted!) (well that and the bloody good price!)
  22. Yeah that's actually exactly what I want instead of a 50mm, the (35/1.8) for $256 but now I'm very tempted by the Tamron 17-50/2.8 for $315 (+ $27 postage)
  23. Yeah I noticed the Nikon (50/1.8) ones can be had from ddp for $137 new atm!
