  1. If you want sharper better quality images you need a better lens. Having said that if you are thinking about jumping ship from Pentax to some other brand it might be worth doing that before you start investing in good lenses.. Maybe just buy a 50mm prime - it is a good quality cheap lens - then you'll be able to see how good it can be
  2. What don't you like about the K200d? What would you like to be better? You have many Pentax lenses? K-5 comes out soon apparently..
  3. Link to some of your pics? One of my best mates has a K200d and takes some amazing pics.. also what are you thinking about upgrading to?
  4. Some nice pics in there Nick! Very arty I like it
  5. yar ISO: 1600
  6. Good point.. missed that bit tbh If you want longer reach maybe on of these options.. 500D & 18-135mm: $1,215 500D & 18-200mm IS: $1,495 550D & 18-135mm IS: $1,369 550D & 18-200mm IS: $1,679
  7. One of my flickr contacts (gadl) has HEAPS of them as for info I just googled it - I used my normal pano software (autopano giga) to make the 360x180 pano and then used hugin for the fancy projection
  8. Thanks mate - think I should have cropped it a little closer actually but ah well - very happy with it considering its a first attempt
  9. My first ever little planet - taken at Anzac square in Brisbane The 360x180 degree pano The little planet And a cropped version of the above (processed at a different angle also)
  10. I'd suggest getting one of the starter Canon/Nikons and go from there ie Canon 500D & 18-55mm IS: $891 Canon 550D & 18-55mm IS: $1,079 Nikon D3000 & 18-55mm VR: $605 Nikon D5000 & 18-55mm VR: $782
  11. Yeah LR is awesome - I do 80% of my PP in there Must say I've done some tests on an 800px photo and even on high LR wont sharpen it as much as Irfanview (When you have a photo open in irfanview Ctrl+S is sharpen, in batch you can specify a value from 0 to 100 - suspect a normal Ctrl+S does "20")
  12. Yeah FastStone isn't bad either but I prefer the results from IrfanView (normally do a slight sharpen after the resize in the batch too)
  13. Wouldn't say it is the best but it is very good and does batch operations too http://www.irfanview.com/
  14. Agreed - awesome shot Matt
  15. Yeah 3rd is a bit busy - 2nd one is my fav
  16. other left
  17. I don't think you needed it for this shoot - Half your girl friend's face is covered in stuff! lol
  18. 1st! another option is doing the background between the two maybe... like taking half the saturation out of the background in the second one (esp the blue) so its kinda like the 1st
  19. Whoa so its automatic? Fancy!
  20. also - your mirrors seem to be broken
  21. He crashes cars!
  22. No screwed in - they use to have boxes that matched the breadboards (I'm pretty sure..) Unless we cut the breadboard to size and THEN screwed it in.. But yeah box had holes to crew into
  23. We used six 10 ohm 10 watt resistors in my car. Got a bread board from jaycar and a box which it fits in. Everything was soldered.
  24. Yeah people use all kinds of weird stuff - even heard about a guy on the 300zx forum using wet bread like WTF surely random other shit will work but why not just use grease - id heaps rather have grease over the flywheel etc after im done and just give it a quick wipe than some of the other random stuff
