  1. Having owned a 360 and now owning a ps3 i thought id talk about my experiences. Ive had both break down on me once each. The ps3 was possibly due to my old work though working in a highly dusty environment and bringing that back with me but im not sure. The ps3 was returned to me much faster and customer support was overall much better to deal with than the xbox360 although i dont think one example can be taken as gospel as i may just have had a good person on the other end of the line on that occasion. Price wise i think they are fairly similar. xbox 360 i hear is $350 now + wireless $130? + xbox live $100 = $580 ps3 is about $699 and they throw in 2 games + you get a bluray player which there is no denying your gonna be buying in the next few years anyway and there several hundred dollars alone. As for games i think 360 has it hands down at the moment. pretty much all of the big sony exclusives have been average. im really hoping gt5 and gow3 are something special. 360 with the likes of halo 3, forza, and the gears of war series is better in my opinion. I also love how you can play music while playing your games which you cannot on ps3... why the f%# not sony?!?! Having said all of this i still put my vote to the ps3 as its a better console, its undeniably more powerful and there for has more potential. and it looks like microsoft are going to be banking on the natal in the future and that doesnt interest me in the slightest. I feel the ps3 has more to offer with its built in wirless and bluray drive, it also has an easily upgradable hardrive and the ability to load other operating systems onto it. If sony just bring down the price of the ps3 im sure people will start to see the same things. at the moment all people see is $700 for ps3 or $350 for xbox which is hardly the case.
  2. KERS is compulsory from 2010 so its an advantage for teams to run it and get there heads around it early really. But yeah have to agree, yet another half-assed, bad call by max mosley. The idea was to turn f1 more 'green' but it was poorly timed with the world financial crisis and ideas of trying to lower costs in f1. Personaly i cant wait to see mosley go, he is a blight on formula one, and so is bernie eccelstonne Well toyota are the no.1 car manufacturer in the world, so id say they know what there doing two words, brand association
  3. Games have to be optimised cus of the limited hardware of consoles? ok lets not forget consoles are created and released and then never further developed (please dont go into the x360 updates) where as new pc parts are constantly released so over a 5 year period you can purchase a console for a relatively low price, say $500-$700 and it will do you for all that time. A PC will need to be updated if not replaced every 1 to 2 years to play the latest games at full graphics. And this is the major reason why i no longer play the latest games on PC. Consoles look nearly as good as the games are developed for consoles because that is the largest market. i have to admit, i did the same thing... about a year ago now and im still waiting! hurry up polyphony digital forza3 looks good but to say it looks better than gt5 is simply incorrect, i love my racing games and have spent many a night on other net forums where i have seen "exposed" the inaccuracies between real life cars and those in forza3. gran turismo 5 represents cars 100% accurately. its just got more class.
  4. I was thinking along similar lines to you until i realised that i wouldnt be able to play aussie dvd's with my ntsc ps3 cus im selling my only dvd player, nor would i be able to hire dvd's or bluray movies. So its either buy a dvd player or get a pal ps3.. the pal ps3 works out cheaper.
  5. selling the 360 because im getting sick of the games on it and there are some games im really keen to play on ps3. Also i think the future line up of games looks better than on xbox I want the ps3 mostly for games, but i definetly wanna watch bluray movies and dvd's too
  6. thanks for all the reply's ppl guess i got some thinking to do cus im gonna be selling my only dvd player (my xbox 360) to get this too. So im thinkin i should just shell out the 50-100 odd extra bucks and get a pal version
  7. The GT2 finished behind the GT-R actually on total points. Whats faster the LP560-4 or the Super Leggerra?
  8. Been jumping around the internet on both play-asia.com and ebay and have found that ps3's can be had for as little as $450 brand new. The catch is that its an overseas model in NTSC Format with an overseas warranty (most cases they are japanese models). What this means is that they will only play region 1 dvd's and blu ray movies.. ive been lead to believe that all blu ray movies are unlocked (region free) so this wont matter for them unless this changes in the future.. however the dvd's i will not be able to watch. Is it possible to change region on a ps3? also does anyone no if they plan on keeping blu ray's region free. Would love to hear from anyone who has purchased one of these NTSC systems and can tell me about there experiences.
  9. ok sorry for going off topic but to the dude that said GM is bout to fall over or sum shit.... http://money.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=605025 GM is the 2nd largest car manufacturer in the world...... the 2nd largest.. If they were about to go under they would cut expenses like oh... i dunno... motorsport... like... nascar (worlds largest motorsport) & leman
  10. Yeah, how narrow minded are these car jurno's hey... what a tool.
  11. I agree, nissan spent a lot of time on this car and in my opinion, every aftermarket change whether it be body styling, rims or exhaust has looked worse than standard. It makes me appreciate the new gt-r even more when i see all these aftermarket company's trying to modify the looks and all they end up acheiving is a worse product. I say stop trying to make the thing look prettier and start taping away at all that untouched potential under the hood. Half a bar of boost... come on.. some one stick a boost controller on one already.
  12. efen good point.
  13. I wonder if the new GT-R will be at the Brisbane International Motorshow this year?
  14. wow good point about the vspec, i wonder if it could crack into the 2's for 0-100 considering that the time of 3.3 was recorded by edmunds on a dirty surface that they claim did not have alot of traction.
  15. just joined up guys - who playes css?
