  4. I've just heard the opinion that removing the power steering fluid as described in my DIY is harmful to the power steering pump because the pump is lubricated with the power steering fluid and that by running the car to remove the fluid will damage the pump. What are other people's thoughts on this?
  5. C'mon guys I bought these brand new from Wheelworx for 2 grand...they've hardly been used and are just taking up valuable garage space. $1000 ONO
  6. +1 for hating cab drivers who think they own the road! and +1 for hating bus drivers who think they can cut u off as soon as they put their signal on! A friend of mine did see a bus driver being written a ticket once tho, cos he cut off an unmarked cop car...lol serves him right!
  7. lol how about all of the above!
  8. Make me a reasonable offer on the wheels and I will consider it. They really need to go.
  9. PRICE DROP on wheel and tyre package, they've gotta go cos I'm moving house and I don't really want to carry them with me.
  10. I'm after the plastic piece that surrounds the RHS fog and indicator lights for my Skyline. New or used. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great =) Thanks guys.
  11. Another thing about filling the radiator. If you start your car up and you hear water flowing behind your dash then it means you've got to bleed it some more and recheck coolant levels.
  12. That's right, ferni. It's encoded with xvid codec and lamemp3 for audio. I use K-Lite Codec Pack which installs pretty much all the necessary codecs to play just about every sort of format you'll come across on the net. Just do a google search for "k-lite codec".
  13. Is it possible for you to take the necessary parts to your Nissan dealer to get them to assist you with picking the right grade? That might be easier than just taking a punt.
  14. New items added! *18x8 wheels with tyres - excellent condition $1500 FIRM Pick up only *2 spacers - perfect condition $150 FIRM Pick up or post at buyers expense Price drop on castor rods - $15 Pick up only
  15. Hey Skyline brethren! Here's another little video DIY tutorial put together by the boo and I. This one's for changing the power steering fluid. It's not a full system flush but just something which can be done as maintenance. http://s3.quicksharing.com/v/6647940/PSFluidChange.avi.html We're moving up in the world and now have a backyard production company doing the vids - Small Fry Productions. Those who have seen our previous vid would know our Site Manager. She's hooked us up with her film company - Roaring Dog Films. Enjoy!
  16. Yep, sounds about right for all of them. When I changed the gearbox I thought I was going to run out and be stuck with no car but it filled up with a tiny amount to spare from a 4L bottle.
  17. Negative terminal came off because the service manual said so. I think it was to disable the ABS unit as the other option is to pull out the fuse for the ABS unit instead of removing negative terminal. I just assumed my car has ABS. If yours doesn't then no need to remove any electrical thing. Would you believe me if I said vid was taken with camera phone? Didn't think so! My boo has a Panasonic NV-GS200. Nice little camera, 3-CCD as well, but these days you can get the NV-GS400 for about $1500 (and that's paying retail) which has 12x optical zoom and optical image stabilizer. Just as an aside, my boo recently had to get the prism in the camera replaced as there was a known fault. It was covered under warranty even though the camera is about 3 years old and the problem only recently occurred. Vid editting was done using Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Sound Forge Audio Studio.
