  1. Wouldnt mind some head. haha but at the moment, no not looking at selling it i may rebuild the motor so going to keep as much as i can for now..
  2. They are all acpt, i think that photo phil posted is a common one they send out as i have seen them on the uk forum also.. And a reminder, for an extra 100us you can get a shaft that will handle 2000ft pounds of torque compared to the 1400us 1000ft pounds.. As for payment, as soon as i can get 10 people confirmed i will start collecting money to get it off to james as acpt! Cheers Andrew
  3. And another shot of #6 doesn't look too healthy... which makes me feel a little better, as i was thinking it was only a head gasket..... and i've just bought a new motor! haha
  4. heres some photos i was able to snap between getting wet. as you can see, cyl 6 has a bit of a mark well gouge or whatever but the rest are fine.
  5. Done just as it started raining, may have damaged the head gasket on the way out and i cut a hose or two as i had to act quick. damn rain. inbetween 6/5 on the headgasket looks a bit bent but this may have happened when getting the head off as i was jiggeling alot trying to find the last two hoses. if you dont know, i had 0 compression in 6. all the rest were fine. 150ish across the park. blowing alot of smoke/oil inspecting under the head all the valves appear to be perfect, the top of the piston appears to be fine also. the bore also looks good in 6. i will get some photos if the rain eases.
  6. mine will be off tonite i'm onto removing that acc valve now or air chamber its called just under the plenum. will see how this goes it shouldnt be too long before i got it out.
  7. no body can tell me what needs to be removed or loosened on the inlet side to get the head off with throttles/plenum still attached??
  8. on the photo above where abouts is the bracket
  9. i found a manual and i will dig into that tomorrow, so it can be done without removing the plenum throttles etc?? just found a photo of new enging which looks pretty cleara, all these suckers come off?? it surely feels more solid than just hoses tho.
  10. Yeerrp shes 90mm now, so a 90 exhaust it will be, greddy ti-r is looking rather sweet right about now!
  11. And to add to this, do i need to remove the intake chamber, throttles, etc? or can it be pulled off with intake and throttles attached cheers Andrew
  12. I did a quick search but found nothing.. so my question is. when removing the head from a rb26 in a R32 gtr. what is holding the head down on the intake side? i have removed turbos and everything on the hot side. i'd say something under the plenum as i have not removed much from there other than fuel lines. i've removed all the head studs, the 3 bolts in the corners of the head and the bolt on the ac pump. i can jiggle it a bit but it wont lift. cheers P.s. i've gotten bored waiting for the new motor to turn up so i decided to pull this one apart as much as i can to hopefully learn a few things!
  13. Yeah i'm starting to think i've already done that we extended the merge section to meet the rest of the exhaust (no meow), as i bought trust pipes from a r34 which needed to be a little modified as they didnt fit 100% i shall mesure it tonite and go from there. tho i think it will be 90mm. if all goes to plan, running engine at 1.6 bar hopefully around 350kw if not a little more. so a 90 might be a little better.
  14. There are many people running these shafts, i cant quiet get the sepcs on it but i think the mines r34 uses acpt made shaft, Trust/Hks and alot of big tuning shops in japan sell re branded acpt shafts, Acpt supplied nismo for the r34 Ztune. is that enough for you? You can also find Justin Fox on the forum and ask him about the one he's using. With a few more people this can be underway! Cheers Andrew
  15. As i have the trust front/dump pipe, which i think is around 80cm after the merge tho i will have to check as i modified mine.. if i go a 90mm "catback" will i get moar power, or should i just stick with 80mm as it will be even all the way through. im looking at the trust ti-r catback or similar.. Cheers
  16. x-force also make titanium exhaust, tho from my understandsing its expensive and hard to source titaniu at the moment..
  17. Turbos, +++++ dumps, and front pipe all at the same time is a 100% must. i would go with r43 n1 turbos (garrett gt2860R-7) rebuilt stockers could bite you in the ass!and -7's are proven performer
  18. i'm about to fit the one i bought for my mates 180sx onto my Turbo Diesel Hilux, just waiting on a boost guage to set it correctly i think 12psi here i come!!
