  1. Item arrived today! Trusted seller if anyone was interested
  2. I didnt use mr dirt for the build.. but starting to wish i did, still no motor back yet.. but i've surely saved some pennys in the meanwhile
  3. Haha, yeah i'm glad my engine builder has his thinking cap on it didnt take him much time at all to work out a better way!
  4. Yeah i agree on the 188 bieng a pretty poor choice, but i was not quiet thinking of going that big.. i just have the whole t88 kit minus the turbo at home. Could the reason on the 3788 be its relativity new? or will it end up bieng a mis match affair.. does it really fall short bieng between 3582r-4088r what kind of power would a 3582 bring to a built 2.6 like mine? will be running 98 pump fuel, was considering giving e85 a go but my engine builder is a bit iffy with it at the moment and recommends i wait a little till it gets established more. + i've bought all the fuel gear to run 98.
  5. I might verry well be the first person thinking of the 3788r on a rb26.. would love somewhere around 450kwatw for a track driven car (doubt i will see much street) I was looking at peoples setups that have tried the 4088r and apparently they are a bit dopey, thought the 3788 would possibly make for a little more response.. the 3582 seems a little bit less with power.. i wanted something that had the surge of power of a single, was considering a t88 or smaller to begin with but since they are rather old i'd rather use a garrett since its locally done and i can get pretty good prices on them, i've seen some fairly responsive setups with t88 bieng used for track work and cant really see an issue with revs as your often never below 4000 anyway. Currently i have something close to a gt-rs with a samller comp housing dont think i will see 400kw with them.. but i could... i just hope my R34 getrag with nismo imput shaft will be ok for the power..
  6. Shit just saw the price haha, might stick to my dreaming of the R32 gen 3 model i like best.
  7. Done and done, the turbo isnt listed on his webs, its kinda new i think... unless they keep their advertising up for ever..
  8. Could be an option for the n1 oil pump or std with the billet pump gears available locally? everyomne seems to use the Acl bearings.. off topic whats the r36 like to drive? i've had eyes on a 32 for a while but the 36 seems a bit more practice?
  9. No body has any advice on this turbo? i know its kind of new. and would quiet possibly be a little less lagier than a 4088
  10. Correct, I'd like a bit of advice on this topic too I currently have a trust manifold from a t88 kit and large gate at home and want to give a single a whack, obviously want twin scroll. Was looking at the newer Garrett 3788R, i wanted something responsive yet a nice whack of power. Rb26 Engine specs are as follows, Head: 270 in/ex 10.8mm lift, springs, retainers, guides, and a bit of porting done. Bottom end: 86.5 Mahes, Pauter rods arp studs throughout Jun pump, sump mods etc. 3.5inch titanium exhaust. fcon v pro. Would like some advice on what that turbo would be like. and power etc. what exhaust housing would be advisable also..
  11. I know its sequential box, but it still sounds like a stocker 34 box on idle, but then again the dog box i had sounded similar to the stock 34 box on idle too.. big cams and titanium exhaust by the looks on that car, hopefully the result i end up with too! sounds awesome!
  12. Yahoooooo! cant beat the Brawn duo tho.
  13. holy shit i shall rub my belly for good luck for him to get home in front of vettel and on the podium
  14. Vettel is obviously taking it in the blurter from whoever's making the calls!!
  15. if i dont get my car ready in time someone needs to lend me their car. maybe i should get on the engine builders back.. going to need a swift run in time..
  16. Competitions actually do get won!! crikey! good work!
  17. Sweet Good luck with it, be sure to post results up in the dyno thread or wherever.. i might consider this 3788r with a .99 or .89 rear
  18. Oh shit, No crank block etc ALL SOLD!! no not willing to seperate the the latch at the moment considering it will be of help to a gts-t conversion. No vents left
  19. Hey Paul, Unrelated answer, but i am interested to see how you go with this turbo, and why you didnt go to the 4088r or the newer 3788r?? My engine spec is rather similar and i am too considering making the switch to a single. when i get it all back together..
  20. Hey Guys, obviously i dont check the thread all the time since it gets bumped back 12 pages.. The Boot Bonnet doors are still available.. The engine crank etc is pending negotiation But will be sold this week!! Suspension is still available, one shock may be leaking tho. All other parts have been sold! expect to see another bunch of parts thrown up in the next week or so.. Cheers If you are interested in parts.. PM me.. not ask me to pm you since i dont check the thread and i am expecting Pm's from buyers who are interested.. (isnt that how it works??)
  21. Your a mad man!! hope you can steer that thing! we dont want to see a nice gtr like that in ruins!!
  22. Steve, the torrent should be up shortly. they are workin on the english version now.. you can catch a German one now if your up to scratch with that language
  23. you'd be better off finding one locally and maybe buying a n1 motor from japan to drop in?
  24. Nice looking very good! i was thinking of a similar setup for the hicas pump too, but my friend gave me another nissan pump.. which is single stage.. before i jump into it could the second stage be used for say gearbox cooler?? or does it need to be the same type of oil going thru it?
