  1. The Turbos i had on my car when it came from japan were like this, I didnt know untill i changed the dumps 2 years later. it still made 360something hp and i thought it went sweeeet.. then got the turbos repaired and woahhhhhh massive difference.. and now engine pop and i'll finally post that photo
  2. Holy shit brad! i got an n1 block/crank if you need one its been machined tho, can talk about it if you want. i wont be bringing mine over anytime soon now. Gabby's given me 3-4 weeks till i have it back. i might do something about cams now.. What do you think would be ideal in the way of cams? i already have bought, Supertech springs/titanium retainers, supertech valve guides, i would like to go a fairly big lift. 10mm-11mm but want the easiest and best option without spending money on buckets or whatever is needed with larger cams. Mick, when did you get the 34??
  3. I've been pulled over a few times with the Section/silk road one photoed above, and never had a problem at all, tho was told that if i had two (both sides) defect would not be a problem..
  4. Yes. tho it would be quicker and alot easier to change them with turbos off since you can get to the nuts better and tighten them up easier.
  5. i got one of them, or there is the tomei style one that does not have a light at all.. http://www.silkroad-jp.com/ make the one above.. tho you can buy it locally for about 600 from someone down south..
  6. Block. crank cradle bearings still available. Crank was rebuild/checked by Crankshaft rebuilders in Sa or Victoria.
  7. if oil cooler/sandwitch plate is the problem i have 2 spares at home off a low km n1 block/motor and yeah you'd probably have a better chance with the plenum off... if you do engine out you may end up spending $1000's with the good old "while its out i may aswell........"
  8. Hahaha, nissan up to their old tricks!!
  9. Shit that would be a good idea! but they are in Canberra.. contacted them anyway. but i dont really like the chances..
  10. Man i've been wanting an m35 for a while now... was thinking of the axis model.. but after seeing this f**k the axis! give me a stocker with leather and a bunch of body parts and i'll be happy!
  11. Shit, someone just buy my spot!! i sale for cheap!!
  12. Hey, i've got a track day coming up, cars still not built.. and cant seem to off load the spot.. is there anyone in Sydney who hire out nice cars for the day/weekend.. that i could take to the track?? probably against their will?? An evo? lotus or whatever?? i've seen the later for around 500 a day with 5k deposit.
  13. theres a balancing shop round the corner from me in bankstown, when and if i ever get my motor back and installed i will take the shaft there once i have the car running. i want to do a before/after comparison but this is problably a few months off now..
  14. Ouch, high boost on stock turbos?

  16. I was going to make a post earlier on.. but i also have a spot up for grabs.. couldnt get my motor back in time so doubt i will be able to make it... pm me and we can sort something out! Cheers
  17. If anyone wants to buy my spot for eastern creek 28th at the autosports (could be a good practice) day let me know dont have my engine back yet and doubt i will get it in time for the event. Cheers
  18. I would have said something more along the lines of a BOAT motor the way them vl's dirve!!!
  19. Something else to add to the fire with your rb30 boys.. rb30 block with rb26 crank... There was a post on here a while back from an engine shop down south! dig that up it had some pretty nice looking results!
  20. Concept... wonder what that would make the capacity.. are the blocks easy to pick up??
  21. Now that i think about it.. Rb28 was the diesel motor i was thinking about.. it came in the R31 GT-D and has a twin cam head.. has anyone ever done anything with that motor? a diesel motor would be considerably stronger you'd think!
  22. That patrol is a 3.4 diesel yeah? it would surely go nicely if a head would fit on it!! i'm starting to wish i went with a 3L build.. but i'm sure the 2.6 will still do its intended job quiet well!
  23. I think its easier and less noticeable to wind back a digital one compared to a manual dial dash..
  24. Gear box has been sold!! thankyou!
  25. I cant remember how i did it. but i removed the aircon fans and core pertty easily cant remember it causing any trouble... just start undoing anything attached to it.. maybe i took the fans off first.
