  1. Hey guys, I keep reading this thread and it gets me thinking!!! UhOh!! so since my engine is in the shop at the moment (RB26) i was considering having the compression bumped up a bit to make the best use of this fuel.. Currently i am going to use 86.5mm Mahle Pistons c/r 8.5 what would be an ideal ratio for a dual setup perhaps just bump it up a little??? i'll run 98 and e85 (can store multiple maps..) Cheers Also e85 locations in Sydney? i'm in Bankstown area.. google is crap for finding this stuff.. just finds a bunch of hippies raving on about sugar
  2. i had my car running for quiet some time.. unknown that there was a problem.. both wheels were pretty much 60-70% gone.. still made good power.. and with new turbos went like a rocket
  3. Brakes that squeal rock, aint nothing like sending shivers down the spines of people with windows/tops down..
  4. It appears for what i want to do its not suitable since i only wish to drive to and from events in my car (most events are just private track days) and not run under cams etc. i dont think its possible for me to have this type of rego for this use. might have to just register the car and pray for the best.. and maybe get a trailer eventually..
  5. Hey, i've got a few more parts to get rid of. All White in colour and in good condition unless noted otherwise.. All parts from R32 GTR and this is what i have no other parts at this time.. White Gtr bonnet with white lip $500 White Grill - with all clips $150 Bonnet latch (for gtst-gtr conversion) $100 $650 for the lot. White Drivers side Guard - few rub marks from side skirts otherwise perfect $150 White Boot, No wing and holes filled and painted, good job - $270 Rear lights for the pair $200 Pictures to follow...
  6. Bugger, you never got back to me about the nismo one hypertune it is then...
  7. Man thats a pretty sweet gtr! wish mine was that neat!! thanks for the new wallpapers and good luck with the sale!
  8. Can someone give me a little more info on B rego? i couldnt find anything on rta website...
  9. I have no idea about that.. you'll have to research that one yourself.. try the os website??
  10. i'm thinking (probably not the best thing) that because its in front you dont need to so much do this, perhaps a duct the size of the radiator to guide air into the radiator and thru the fan would be ideal.. but blocking off the front of the radiator with a shroud similar to ones on the back doesnt sound too good
  11. I've seen my mates at Westside make some pretty nice manifolds.. clearly its in the price you pay and the hours spent on making the piece.
  12. No problem, would prob be around 150-200 freight, (going off what i had sent up here recently)
  13. Ford BA BF - 76cm x 46cm x 11cm is what i could find on the Ford twins, i was considering going this option but have since bought a large 16inch fan and will build a nice alloy duct and shroud for the radiator. no a/c and no clutch fan shall be nice
  14. i may still have alot of communication with the guys at Quaife, they spoke to me in detail about what problems they had whit these boxes. mainly the reverse ideler, he simply put the reverse gear will always wear out, they focused on making 6 strong forward gears, now the gears themselves are pretty strong, where that shaft snapps is another problem, i was led to believe it was caused from a bent or loose selector fork selevting two gears at once. not too sure who told me that it may have been quaife...
  15. i love kiwis!
  16. Moar price drop! $4300 firm!! i doubt you'd find a cheaper Os gearbox in good condition like this!!!!
  17. Shit, and here i am at home with two used Jun pumps.. i wouldnt mind this option, but considering i was going to do drysump later on i may give it a miss.. i'll keep watching how its going just incase!!
  18. Wow, Very interesting, they almost look like my photos!!! i had the exact same box in my car from japan, about a month later no more 5th and 6th.. i ended up going thru Quaife also.. they were pretty good to deal with! i would have only bought that shaft about a year or so ago from them, I sold the box onto Jetman on this forum. whom i think snapped the imput shaft pretty soon after it happened.. (tho it was bent somewhere down the line of gearbox shops looking at building it..) i think i also spoke to someone locally about making up parts. try albins off road in Victoria http://www.albinsgear.com.au/ they said they would be able to make me up something..
  19. Is that tomei's quoted size? or an actual internal measurment? the reason i ask is they often do the Od, and not the Id.. as i said my internal on the front pipes are are 70mm exact. so i pray tomei's are Od so it will be similar the internal diameter outlet on the front pipe is around 88mm tho. Thanks http://www.edoperformance.com/ is the place to go they were listed on tomei's website as a distributor in the states. and were very well priced, should have confirmation today of them posted
  20. whats the inner diameter of the tomei dumps?? i've just bought some from the states for around 840 delivered, (fairly good price these days) i have a large lightweight titanium front pipe here which is around inner diameter of 70mm hopefully they will be a good match
  21. Finally able to report on the problem that killed my motor about a year ago.. shit i am lazy! its a nice looking piston, i think it may be able to buff out! i'd say the cause was too much powah on a standrad/n1 piston bottom end. also running too rich for too long (upping boost does not fix this) 1.7bar on n1 turbos constantly run thru this bottom end. bonus: found a jun pump and tomei baffle apon removal today..
  22. Haha, ohh shit. my skid dreams are over
  23. Umm how do them brakes fit under? you think f50's ever could?? i have some stockies at home with snow tyres that say punish me every time i walk past them. p.s. Couldnt ever find that headlight Mark, its appears its grown legs!
