  2. I just went with an overfill at my track day, it was fine except for the oil coming out the pod filters.. perhaps a little too much oil and no catch can! some things to consider
  3. and i wouldnt count on 6 months either hahaha
  4. Back to my on a budget..... or something like that engine build. Talk about bearings Main bearings i'll start with.. i pulled out the crank lastnite of my N1 motor. all the bearings look pretty good for someone who has no idea how they are ment to look. all were Nismo items and i noticed the numbers on the bearings changes alot. when buying new bearings say acl for example, i can only see two part numbers. standard and oversize. but nismo offer around 6-7 different grades whats the score here? do i go with acl? and how do i know which to buy? i take it i will need to get out the verniers and measure the crank in each place? should i leave this up to the engine builder?
  5. i really really really like it, but the view from the back/right i am a little unsure about
  6. Yerrp its going to 86.5 a hone wouldn't do the job, haha i wish i just rebuild the standard one now. it would have been done long ago!!
  7. Haha, well i may consider doing another, but there isnt anything i really need at the moment.. unless anyone else wants a trust ti-r 90mm cat backs. mmm titanium exhausts... I've just been to the Suncorp bank and made the final deposit today. will hear back from Sts about delivery soon i figure. and i mentioned something for Mark/Japan also.. tho i think i already did... will advise with anything else i find out.
  8. what gear in the trust box are you in while your going over the line? they are a very close ratio box so this could be causing you problems? i suspect your changing up to 5th?
  9. coming along nicely! cant wait to start on mine.. as for the budget thing here's my story.. was going to put the n1 motor i bought straight in.. took 5 months to get here so i started buying bits and pieces. then when the motor arrived i was told to pull it down to inspect, which moved me towards a full rebuild, lucky as there are some small scores up and down the bores on most cylinders, so a rebuild was a must. hopefully will finish up under 10k haha

  11. Question.... regarding the hicas pump in the engine bay on a r32, can this be used to pump oil? or is it not good for running constant? i think arc have them pdf files on their website regartind that cooler. or i may have seen it on yahoo japan with a link to the cooler pdf files..

  13. Yeep i read that, and also sent an email to them if we can hold the delivery on yours till the 15th should have told you i will let you know if they want an alternate address, but i suspect holding the shipping on yours will be fine And no problem for organising this! for a first time it seems to have gone rather smoothly, and we got way more people involved than first exepcted! i myself thought 10 would be a long shot! but to get 13 is even better! i'll let everyone know when i have deposited the remainder of the funds, and when they have left Acpt. Cheers Andrew
