no dramas. i will investigate a bit more for you guys to see. ill get my mate to bring the car round on the weekend and ill open up the ecu.in the mean time ill hunt down a stock ecu and see if it makes any difference. once i get some more pics might be able to help out.

if we put standard plugs in with 1.1 gap, we still have the same issue. if your correct in saying that the ecu has been re-mapped, would it be ok i guess to put a stock ecu in and that should eliminate the problem yeh? also if we take it to get dynoed, would it be worth while gettin say a SAFC2 installed at the same time to assist in tuning or are u able to re-mp the stock ecu again?

hey guys a mate of mine has a 94 skyline. has stock everything bar its has a cat back zorst, pod and a hi/low boost controller runnng 7/10psi. the issue we have is that the car doesnt seem to run right on either boost setting and at the same time has a miss down low around 3000rpm, then nothing from then on in. he's taking it to 3 or 4 different tuners who say the car is fine but i went for a spin and the car felt crap. its sluggish at best down low till it builds full boost, then kicks in like a mule. fuel economy is ok at 450km to a tank, dont know if that makes any difference?? the issues we are having are: is this a stock computer? or does it look like its been re-mapped? arrived as is from jap with the car. and other issue with the miss? plugs are at .8, and tried different afm, and considering its running standard side mount with no mods other than metioned im stumped as to what this problem could be. we are planning on taking it down to Ray @ RE Customs but thought some self diagnosis is an option b4 we go and outlay $$ that might be just to solve a minor issue. help me out. any other suggestions would be considered and tried cheers daniel

try computer line in preston, they have an inground wheel alignment machine, they do mine all the time when i need it and the blokes are tops.

hey guys just want to know if its possible to adapt any type of remote start feature to my viper 1000 alarm? it has the optional circuit for the remote start but the original viper product is like 370 or so installed. bit more than i want to pay for a novelty item like remote start. if i could get 1 for like 150-200 installed i would but not spending almost 400. cheers daniel

the bars are designed to fit either series 1 or 2, the kits are designed to be a little bigger than series 1 and right for series 2. my 1 would fit either. series 1 indicators dont fit these bars, the slots are only small, like 15cm long by 6cm wide.

it can be done very easily. ATM there are 2 different ways that it can be done, both looks great. 1. get a fibreglassing place to lay a 2 ply layer of carbon fiber onto your boot, making sure the boot is scuffed back and clean of crap, after it cures, light sand and resin polish the boot, then hit it with 2-3 coats of clear like in a paint shop for cars, will leave the boot looking mint and also with the clear coats will give the boot that deep carbon look finish. beware tho, doing it this way, if they dont take care there can be stretch marks in the CF and will be visible once finished. 2. they have developed a contact type carbon fibre, like the stuff for school books. they use adhesive under it, lay it down and hit it with the clear again for long lasting finish. cheaper than the first but may not last long depending on how you look after your car. leaving it out at night and letting frost build up something like this will last about 5years, the other will be atleast 10yrs. CF is very tough. and lastly mate, dont bother coating the drift wing, the curves in it will almost leave definite stretch marks in areas due to the complex shape. your better off buyin a CF drift wing like i was sayin. 450 already to go, looks good. hers the link. have a chat to him. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=176321 also the reason i suggest the straight lay on fo rthe boot is due to the simple shape the boot has. little chance of distortion.

any of the jasma exhausts that kakimoto make are good too, i got a 3" turbo back with kaki jasma rear muffler and i come in @ 91dB

abcent is selling his carbon drift wing, hes asking $450 i think, and with the boot, im not sure to be honest, but speak to a fibreglassing place and see what they can do about giving the boot a carbon fibre look boot?

not really mate, cops will do you for power to weight ratio now if u had a turbo. unfortubate what happened to your car. if i was you get a non turbo skyline for now, and then in 18months bolt a turbo to the side of it. will save u all the headaches from the cops too. see how u go

y would you want to paint carbon fibre? ive seen abcent's wing, looks awesome. if your planning on painting the wing, get a fibreglass 1. the carbon fibre is as he says, perfect, no visible defects.

wastegate actuator? how much posted to melb if u have it?

you got the same issues as i had, lags then pulls and bumo around and it hesitates for a split second. it is your crank angle sensor for sure (CAS). just bought a replacment and having it installed next week. if u take the car to a tuner and he'll try to adjust the timing, it wont adjust coz the sensor is playing up. get a new 1 or second hand 1, about $50 second hand, and get it installed and re-tuned. problem will be fixed.
