  1. RE Customs in springvale charged me 200 with install and tune of my safc2. speak to ray, they top blokes at RE
  2. how about get an adaptor made up from an engineering firm. if your in melb, go see Harrop engineering and places like that. the standard bov is where it is because its the best location. dont rush into something you will regret. if u place it else where and get epad, then ur in the shitter coz bov isnt allowed in vic that is, but elsewhere not sure. do the right thing and get somewhere to make an adaptor plate for your bov. give them traces of the 2 bov bases and get them to make a transition piece. might be around 100 or so but worth it, and less headaches in the long run.
  3. it is very tuff bar. bought 2-3mm thick not just some flimzy thing. no dips around head lights but it is visible around wheel wells where he has hi filled to cover slight imperfections when being removed from mould but hey its been cleaned up already for me. has some slight little marks on it not in obvious spots but a small amount of hi fill and a sand and ready to prime. IMHO it is great. highly recommend any1 to purchase his kits if they all have the quality that mine does and also fittment, still havent put it on. will do either later tonight or tomoz.
  4. not enough cars wanting to go to this cruise due to heathcote drags and issues that have arisen since initial call up of topic. will be organising another gor cruise soon so plz keep your eyes on this section. will be late august early sep when weather is better.
  5. ill be fitting it either tonight or tomoz nyt. from the looks of it and the measurements that i took off my stock bar i got at home, its pretty close. wont need much to fit perfect. with all the interest in kits if we source a good supplier we might even be able to organise discount prices for forum members but still 220 for most of his bars is cheap and a full kit for 520 plus postage. dont get much cheaper
  6. hey guys just bought a front bar off ebay off a seller going by "mybodykits". check him out. i was a bit scepticle at first but he had a great rep with 16positive responses and 100% positive. payed for the kit on sunday night, he cleared my funds on tuesday morning, and item arrived today. absolutely great looking front bar. i payed 220 + 65postage. check him out. photos attached of my bar. BTW its the Trial front bar for the R33 skyline. will let you know how fitment goes on the weekend. daniel
  7. will definitly consider the heathcote idea, much appreciated mate. will give those interested definite go/no go tomoz nyt.
  8. if ur in melb i can give u a hand. its about a 2hour job at my place, matter or removing amp sub and taking wires fior speakers from boot or amp location back to the HU and re wiring it into the loom if the wires are to short to re-solder. let me know
  9. is the amp mounted side on? as in upright? if so see if the battery terminal is above the remote? if it is it is possible like mine did, that when the amp heated up, the internal heat started to melt the battery solder on the circuit and it bridged across to the remote thus giving the amp constant power even if car is off.
  10. better still, smack in the door on their car and tell them proove it wasnt me and see how they feel! lol
  11. one thing i forgot to mention guys, if its only gonna be like 2or3 cars going i dont wanna really go. would ideally like to have about 10-12cars for a good days out. keep your eye out on friday for update. also if you cant make it can u plz post dates that you can within the next few weeks, if this doesnt go ahead i can have some guidelines for the newt couple of days that ppls are available
  12. are u running an aftermarket ecu? when did u put the coils in and if at the same time as front mount has it been tuned? also might be worth grounding the boost solenoid, give u bit better boost? also does the car feel laggy in the other gears?if so might be an issue with the crank angle sensor. did u knock it at all when installing frnt mount or move it by chance? got a pic of ur engine bay so we can see the set up?

  15. alrite guys if i get enough interest ill take on the cruise. seems like there is alot of interest in it. ill set up a new link so need every1 who is coming to post in it.
  16. mate whats the offset (1st set) and also with the stud pattern is it 114.3 or the flat 114? also willing to ship interstate?
  17. 100mm is the minimum clearance with passengers and full tank of fuel. payload is different, so people saying golf clubs aswell, they cant be counted. in a skyline its 4 ppl and full tank fuel = 100mm ride clearance.
  18. spoke to some painters that i know, been told to use 600 grit wet/dry and just remove the shine without killing the gel coat. and then primer it. so gonna give it a go on the weekend. thanks for the input guys, will post pics for ya as i go.
  19. white smoke can be either turbo or just the regular smoke when hot air goes into cold, black smoke is the fuel, it may be running ricg. what mods are u running in the way of a computer or safc or what? if ur in melb take it to ray @ RE customs. he'll fix it. mine had a faulty crank angle sensor which reduced hp when we dynoed. easy fix. but tel us the mods and we'll see if we can help ye out. btw get rid of the 040, they sh*t and get a tomei fuel pump. speak to r33god he can get em at a good price.
  20. gauge sold all else for sale. also have Wanli tyres x2 for sale - $30 and also standard intercooler with piping - $50
  21. how much for wheel and boss kit together?
  22. boost gauges should be piped into the plenum chamber. there is a pipe at the front and rear of the chamber. check it out coz thats where the pressure reading comes from the stock gauge.
  23. not attempting the final spray myself, just the prime and sand myself. i got a proper spray painter to do the final, but would like to learn tho. and its a fibreglass front bar. thanks guys.
  24. hey guys just bought a front bar and its still in gel coat. just want to know what needs to be done before painting it? is it really necessary to spray it in primer first if there arent any defects? and also i know i need to add some additive to the paint so it allows strech or something i was told by a painter but my main issue is, primer yes or no? daniel
