    i agree. happened in my old corolla 4AGE motor. noise came from the top of the motor. i thought that the cams were fcuked, but spun a big end... put the rod through the block lol

    1.5 cube is actually a normal size enclousre for a 12" for alot of 10" subs, about 0.75 cubic feet is good.

    i can vouch for that. (see sig) boston pro series are fantastic. not cheap (around 1100 for the set) but well worth the money. indeed. there is a product called the QMAX invissibass. its a 6.5" sub in its own ported enclosure.. goes well...

    to put in the doors? if you spend some money to get the doors sealed, and sound deadened, than any good speaker will have decent bass. of course, it wont be below aboutg 70 hz, so it will never replicate a proper subwoofer....
