  1. OK, replaced the battery, seemed to slightly imrpove the range for like 2 days. Now its back to its crappy <20m range. What am I doing wrong? Do brands for batteries matter that much? The battery I got wasnt anywhere near its expiry date..... Help!! Cheers, Dan

  3. Hi, for these to fit into an R32 GTR what modifications (if any) are required. The main reason I ask is that I won't be installing it myself, will get a mechanic to do it, so want to knwo what I am up for in labour. Cheers, Dan
  4. Guys, I just got done by police for an EPA noise test. The officer pulled me over, went thru the usual licence check, breath test etc, then said for me to be on my way and he will send me an EPA notice. Whould I have got something off him at the time? Or does it just come in the mail? Also, from a search on here I have found its measured at 60% of your redline, and that the limit is 90Db. (I have a 1990 R32 GTR). I have a 3inch full turbo back exhaust. No other mods other than like pod filters etc etc. What distance is the 90Db measured at? Will a swap to a stock exhaust solve my problem?   6. As per title guys, I have an M80G Mongoose alarm. I was wondering how far away the remote will/should work. Without anything in the way - direct line of sight. Some mornings it works from like 20 metres away, other times its like 2 metres. Im going to change the battery, but just wanted to confirm. Cheers, Dan
  7. Hi guys, I am looking at getting a R32 GTR N1 frot bar. I currently have an aftermarket front bar on. Some one told me that the N1 slots require you to change the configuration, can anyone confirm this? Has anyone done it previously? Please let me know of anything that will be relevant. Ay pics would be great too. The bar I am looking at is designed for a GTR, not a gts-t. Cheers, Dan

I couldn't agree more with R31Nismoid and others on here who said that this was just a recipe for disaster because the police never crack down when they should - instead they wait for something ridiculus like this to occur then they respond by cracking down on all 'enthusiasts/imports/modified' cars. What irks me the most is that only 5 people were arrested (so far). These people, at worst, will have their car impounded for a few days then be back at it. I know of retards who have had their licence cancelled, only to keep driving, getting caught, going to court and then getting a left-wing fairy of a judge who reckons the world is all strawberries and roses and these poor people have learnt their lesson now. My best mate was killed by one of these people who drink and drive at ridiculus speeds (not a modified car). The top bloke still has his licence, is still on the roads and wont even go to trial till 2008. The 'accident' (i call it murder) occured in June 2005! What does it take? Police are so brave and righteous when you are on your own and driving responsibly, happy to tell you all the defects/problems with your car, but congregate in a violent mob of over 800, damage property and assault people and have nothing to worry about? I mean, come on, this is beginning to really get out of hand. My 2c worth, sorry if I came across a little peeved, but this is a issue I am rather passionate about (in case you hadn't picked up on it) Cheers, Dan

  16. Hi mate, When I got my 32R serviced I asked the same question. I bought the cam and crank seals and asked the dealer to put them in. When they were doing all the other stuff the had a look and said that they didnt require changing as they were not leaking and gave me my seals back. I suggest you do the same, buy the seals and get them put in if you need them. If not you have them for next time! Hope this helps..... Cheers, Dan

Thanks for the help guys, the only thing that I guess I am still unsure of is this: On Saturday I was getting the alarm looked at where I got it installed (just putting in a door switch that was buggered). I mentioned this problem to the guy. So we put the car on the turbo timer, armed the alarm then opened the door. Bingo - alarm went off, engine cut etc etc. Can anyone confirm what the operation should be (Chris Rogers, where are you? ) Cheers, Dan
  19. Would this also be the likely cause of my alarm not triggering when the door is opened? I was aware that the door locking mechanism is playing up, but I want to also get to the bottom of the issue that was causing the alarm not to trigger when it was armed. Cheers, Dan
  20. G'Day guys! I recently had an Mongoose M80 series alarm fitted to my 32GTR.(supplied by Chris Rogers) All had seemed well up until the other nite. Sometimes the passenger door is not locking (which is a seperate issue) so as I walk away from the car I normally try to open the door just to ensure it has locked. The other nite when I did this the car was still running on the turbo timer. The passengger door had not locked. I had already armed the alarm. When i opened the door, the alarm DID NOT trigger. Is this supposed to be the case? Bcoz I am sure that when I was at the alarm place even when the car was on the turbo timer the alarm triggered if the perimeter was breached. This morning I did the same thing, but now the turbo timer had switched off. When I opened the door the alarm sounded! Which is what i would expect. I had the alarm installed by an alarm/audio place in Melbourne that was recommended to me by Chris. Any ideas? Cheers, Dan

  22. G'Day guys, Been having a problem with my rear wiper jet that must have only occured recently (it was working fine 2 weeks ago). When i put the rear wiper on, that works fine, no issues at all. however, the other nite I switched on the rear jet, and nothing happened! I got out while I had the girlfriend press it to see if I could hear the motor going. To be honest I cant be sure, but it sounded like it was trying to pump out water. I tried unblocking the nozzle with a pin, but to no avail. All the connections look good and there are no visible leaks in the system - ie. i can't see water leaking out somewhere thus reducing pressure to the jets. Then this morning, as I was on the way to work I thought I would try it again - this time i held the switch down for longer than normal. Some water did EVENTUALLY come out, but it was a trickle at best. Any ideas guys? Any help is appreciated. Cheers, Dan
