  1. To answer most of your questions: Don't worry about filling out the form above. Fatz will give us your name for free gate entry. You will however, still need to fill out a form on the day. You don't need to be a member of IDA - you just need a CAMS L2NS or better licence. If you don't have one, we have associate memberships and yearly licence application forms available on the day. Drivers can be passengers without any extra fee. Passengers need to pay entry to the track as well as the passenger fee. You might complain now, but by the end of the day, you'll have so much fun you'll forget all about money. :PBJ: We've done this deal with Fatz because we need lots of people out there so we don't lose money on the event like last time. Call your mates and get them to drive. $200 for that much time on Eastern Creek is a pretty good deal, and it's one we hope to keep up. PLEASE BRING YOUR CAMS LICENCES!
  2. I know Adam, we've done a deal with Fatz, but at least now you have all the details for the day, like the schedule and whatnot. Honestly, the grip guys are going to be way outnumbered by drifters, so the track will probably be pretty much empty for those sessions. Half the reason the day was split up was to stop people killing all their tyres by lunchtime.
  3. EASTERN CREEK MAIN CIRCUIT DRIFT AND GRIP 16th of September, 2006 Once again, Eastern Creek main circuit is open for drift! It provided some of the most interesting battles of the year in Drift Australia, and is one of the most fun drift tracks in the country. Don’t miss out, since we’re don’t have this track booked again in the near future. If you're wondering what the track looks like, here's an in-car video from Powercruise (needs DivX codec). Sessions will alternate during the day, between Drift and Grip. The drifting sessions will use the whole track (apart from the main straight and turn 1). What this means is that you can drive in any combination of drift and grip events that you like. Grip all day, then have some fun in the drift sessions, or just spend all day drifting. It's one price for all entrants. The day will be on, regardless of weather. Since this is mainly a drift event, the grip guys are guaranteed a whole lot of uncrowded track time. Schedule 7:30 Gates Open 8:00 - 9:00 Registration & Scrutineering 8:45 COMPULSORY Drivers’ Briefing 9:00 - 9:45 Drift Session 9:45 - 10:30 Grip Session 10:30 - 11:15 Drift Session 11:15 - 12:00 Grip Session 12:00 - 12:45 Drift Session 12:45 - 13:05 Lunch 13:05 - 13:50 Grip Session 13:50 - 14:35 Drift Session 14:35 - 15:20 Grip Session 15:20 - 16:05 Drift Session 16:05 - 16:30 Grip Session / End track activity Note: As session times may vary, this schedule is to be used as a guide only. No drifting allowed in grip sessions. Entry Fees for Drivers - $225 non Initial Drift members / Associate members $200 Initial Drift full members *All entry fees for drivers include access to both sessions* CAMS L2NS licence: $46 NOTE: A CAMS licence and CAMS club membership is now a requirement for all drivers. If you have a CAMS licence and club membership to another car club, that can be used. Yearly Initial Drift Membership: $170 for the first year. Includes t-shirt, stickers and membership card and discounts on all event entries. Yearly Initial Drift Associate Membership: $50 - this gives you a CAMS club membership with no discount benefits. Associate membership can be upgraded to full membership at any time. All licences and memberships are available on the day. Here's how to work out how much it costs for you: If you're an Initial Drift member with a CAMS licence, it's $200 If you're not an Initial Drift club member, but have a CAMS licence and membership with another CAMS club, it's $225 If you're not an Initial Drift member and don't have a CAMS licence or club membership, it's $225 + $46 +$50 (associate membership) = $321 Entry Fees for Spectators - $20 non Initial Drift members / Associate members $10 Initial Drift full members Under 14's free Fees for passengers - (drift sessions only) $20 all day (non Initial Drift members) $10 all day (full / associate members) Passengers: Passenger Rides will be permitted in drift sessions subject to conditions outlined by CAMS for drifting events. Drivers will also need to be approved by IDA for taking passengers. Passengers must provide their own helmet and wear non-flammable long sleeves and pants. Passengers will NOT be permitted in Grip Sessions. Regarding scrutineering: We are now having to enforce the new CAMS rules for our class - the biggest thing that people don't have are blue battery triangles. Basically, you need a blue triangle with 150mm sides pointing where the battery is in your car on the bodywork. If you're not sure, we will have some available on the day. As ususal, your car must pass CAMS scrutineering, so make sure your battery is clamped down, your brakelights work, your seats and seatbelts are secure and safe. Any other questions, please email us.
