I'm assuming from the numberplate that this car is in NSW ??? Great looking little civic, would make a great reliable daily driver ....... Pity its so far away fro me, otherwise I'd be seriously interested in this for my wife ........

Well I have one for sale (my99) for 8k. Full service history, no mods other than exhaust & cd player, trouble is I'm in Qld so a bit far away for you lol ...... Is only 8k not that there's anything wrong with it, its just that I don't want to wait around for ever to get it sold, and am happy to lose on selling it for a quick sale.

Hey thats a bit harsh man !! We're supposed to help eachother here, not act like that. He was asking our thoughts on this, he wasn't posting that he'd fallen for it and was asking for our advice/help afterwards. Give him credit for that ffs .....

That screams 'scam' to me. It's not that disimilar to some of the scams i've seen on ebay over the years, and this seems to be a slight derivation on them. Nonetheless its always interesting to discuss the said vehicle with the scammer and to see the way they deal with you. Is interesting. The pictures of the car appear to have been taken off a particular dealerships website up here in Brisbane, called motorman imports. If for instance ones looks at the attached advert (its just one of their current ones) - http://www.autoline.com.au/vehicle/1442032.html - you will notice the background is identical ie fence posts sizes and colours, same trees showing above the fenceline, even has the same electricity tower in the background. So whilst I couldn't find this particular car as one of their current stock, I'd say that it has been one of their previous ones and this scammer is using them to pull of his scam.

Well I've just re read this whole thread, and found the number listed above. I called them and they were spot on, seemed to be able to answer every question. So if anyone else is in my situation, simply call this number and they'll 'give you the good oil' so to speak ..........

So have I. I'm looking at bringing a car up from NSW which has a fmic, pod filter, etc... but its been done with no expense spared and very professionally by the current owner, and I'm unsure as to whether to buy it or not in case I have rip all the stuff out simply to be able to register it. The Qld Transport link in one of the posts above doesn't quite answer it, also theres all this talk about only being allowed one intake mod etc... so its all very confusing. Is there someone somewhere in Qld in some official capacity who actually knows the answers to all this ?
