  1. i haven't even started to look for the engine, yet But describe your offer, maybe i will be intrested.
  2. but if i insert gtr gearbox i will have to change whole chassis. or not? Will it be enough just to buy the gtr gearbox and it will bolt on without any problems?
  3. yeap, the transmission is manual. so i guess i can leave that manual gearbox, right?
  4. There is a guy here that is selling broken (crash) GTS-4 in ENR33 chassis (coupe). with RB25DE engine and mechanical transmission. I'm looking forward to buy it and planning to insert RB26DETT engine into it. Will it fit ok in that car? Will i be able to use current gearbox? Will other electronic stuff like ABS and HiCas work with RB26DETT ECU? Will that chasis handle that load of power? Thanks a lot. I got no other sources where i can get that info
  5. what if i buy PowerFC and Motect Professional Lambda Meeter that reads A/F settings. Will that be enough to tune PowerFC?
  6. Motec is very expensinve. PowerFC is goof, but i will have to configure it myself... I'd like to buy already configured ECU for stock RB26DETT. So that it removes all limits and optimize A/F ratio.
  7. Guys, what aftermarket ECU can you advise for RB26DETT R33? i'm currently looking for one and found only Blitz ACCESS ECU. Second hand would be nice too
  8. Is it possible to make 4WD GTS-T Coupe from GTR parts?
  9. Leewah, do you have ICQ? I'm intrested in your offer
  10. are there programmed aftermarket ECUs for GTR in Autsralia to buy? That are chipped for completely stock engine (or for bigger injectors)? I would like to have about 450-500 hp.
  11. Guys what is the average price for GTR AFMs? Here they cost (new) 700 USD for both. is it true? and what is the average price for GTR fuel pump? in USD.
  12. Thanks a lot! i will be doing all this stuff myself will spend whole winter to prepare my car for the next summer season. i guess you don't have snow in winters?
  13. anyone?
  14. forgot to ask: my car is 93 year made. but the GTR engine i buy is 97 year made. so the dash board is different from mine i guess. will i be able to connect my dash board to GTR computer?
  15. that engine will not fit into your friends car you will be surprised once you see how small is the engine of Lada Niva
  16. still can't understand about sump.. i buy whole engine, and it comes with sump already. Meggala, do you mean that RB26 sump will not fit into my engine bay?
  17. Four more questions : 1. what is sump 2. what does loom mean? 3. Will GTR ceramic clutch fit my (rb25) gear box? 4. I heard that 280 hp is a law limit in Japan. But the real potential of rb26 engine is much higher, so how do i use the potential - just get a reprogrammed ECU? about the power steering pump - i was planning to fit my pump to that rb26 engine, i guess it will work fine?
  18. Guys, i'm planning to fit RB26DETT instead of my RB25DET. I will need to change ECUs too, and my question is - will GTR ECU work with my HiCas and ABS systems as i don't plan to change them. Also, will i need to get GTR gear box or mine will fit nice with new engine? thanks
  19. with FCD you can make your fuel mix leaner. Same with SAFC, but SAFC has much more control over the fuel mix. (would be right to say over the airflow change). I think FCD is a scam. If you want, i can sell you mine I bought FCD and SAFC, but when i started to figure out how everything works i understood that FCD is not a correct boost cut limiter. To remove a boost cut and keep your A/F ratio the way you want them you need to retune your ECU.
  20. Guys, FCD and SAFC use SAME wire - airflow. and they change voltage on this wire. so, if you have SAFC and then connect FCD after SAFC (closer to ECU) this means your SAFC will not work correct and FCD will change the data too... This means you don't need FCD if you have SAFC installed. But better go get your ECU reporgrammed.
  21. better reprogram your ECU, as fuel cut defender changes the airflow that the ECU sees and doing this make your mixture leaner, because ECU sees less air and provides less fuel.
  22. i think i've found what the problem is. It's the detonation - the ECU collects the info on detonation and when it thinks there were too much of detonation it just cuts off on high RPMs. The problem is solved when i reset the ECU, but it helps for only 30 minutes. After that the problem appears again. I'm not sure what is happenning, because i don't feel that the mixture highly detonates
  23. yes
  24. When using a boost at 0.9 my car suddenly stops boosting at 6500 revs (boost goes to vacuum, i see it on my stock boost gauge). It looks like it's a knock sensor cut, but i'm not sure. If using stock boost - everything is ok. I've tried to make fuel mixture richer and leaner, but it didn't help. When i drive with a hood little opened - looks like everything is ok. I thought it is bad oil (had same problem before and oil change fixed it), but after changing this stuff happens again. Looks like the incoming air is too hot and causing the detonation.. can this be a problem?
  25. You don't need FCD if you have Apexi SAFC, as the both change voltage on the same wire
