  3. Im not 100% sure tbh! They arent released here for about 3 more weeks and the u.s. site i found lists like 20 diff options for them however none of them said ex gate!
  4. I like the how the tials look lol nah from a bitta research ive found that the tial housings are .64 and the standard rear housing is .84 (i think) so will bring them on better! However! Tial rears are v band which means custom pipipng, manifolds etc so adds to the price alot and i dont think it will look standard enough! Speaking with my engine builder he rkns that the extra price will be alot! -5s will make 400kw + Cost for -5's is like 2500 a pair The gtx will make considerably more power (apparently) but cost is (from us website) 1450 each turbine housing then add rear housing of choice actuator of choice actuator bracket optional polished compressor housing v bands then u still need manifolds and custom piping as well! Would be cheaper to buy hks 2530's
  5. lol nah dude gtx2867r twins tial housings internal gates looking into e85 as well. it will look stock enough from the top (all the piping will be black etc) should make mid 400s and keep me happy enough.

  7. lol thanks bro op is sweet. ive been sitting here with a bag of popcorn reading this shit thinking to myself when did all these nissansilvia members sign up to sau. the twin vs single arguement is going to go on for ever similar to that of the holden vs ford etc arguement, there will never be a winner or loser just a bunch of dream boats looking like f**kwits because they think that god himself built there engines and there turbos are any different from anyone elses. i dont give a f**k about the twin v single arguement - i clearly said it myself if rules in victoria werent so tight and cops didnt think they were judge dred i would 100% get a large single like a gt42r or something. im not a teenager going for f**k off power to impress my mates or little broad minded persons on the pavement. ive had 3 gtrs now and a multitude of (some very highly modified) imported and european cars so i know exactly what i want out of the car for ME!!! i asked 2 questions in my first post (still not answered on here but have recieved some insigtful pms from some members) what head work do you recomend for a high powered rb26/30 (in comparison to what my engine builder has recomended) what are ppls opinions on gt2871r now my first question has been answered by other avenues so disregard it. my second question regarding turbos has led me to believe that alot of ppl dont like 2871rs for what ever reason. i understand that engine work, head work, cam selection etc needs to be carefully evaluated to make them work to there full potential (which on paper looks acceptable) if people want to post about the benefits of going single turbo on my car you are simply wasting your time and making me have to read more posts so keep it to your self. i have been in an r32 gtr with a pretty built engine (standard capacity) with 2871s making 400 kw and it was quite a good little package (5000rpm full boost) i feel that with my 30 block i should be taking 800rpm off that and get it to the low 4000rpm range which is where the gtx3582r would have been hitting full boost (have seen actual results on a car on a dyno similar engine with the same gtx3582r that i had with the tial housing) now please continue your pointless never ending arguement and actually give me the responses im chasing peace
  8. i have asked n we have been through it! But im a pain in the ass n wanna know what the sau community would do! Isnt that half the reason the forums here! Without a fkn paragrapgh of parts cams, valves, springs, machining etc! Its listed a few posts back he told me 2871s are lag monsters but they would do the job but i wont like em lol
  9. Rwkw pffft lol yeah i know! But it is my power goal! A couple of years ago i chased the magic 500hp and got there in my old v8 lexus i built with my paps! Now im going the 500awkw obviously power is not all! A well balanced chassis n highly tuned suspension will all come into play as the car progresses! I basically wanna do a 9 have full street trim n a/c and a h pattern box! But still try to make the engine bay not look like theres 30+ grand spent on it!

Car r33 gtr v spec power goal 500kw atw et sub 10 Engine rb 26/30 being built by sabaddin automotive in clayton! (ill only list main stuff my phone does my head in typing long ass replies) Rb30 block serious machine work with oil galleries etc catered for balanced standard crank Custom oil pump nitto pistons forged rods ati 1000hp balancer getting a pro engines sump adapter kit (if they ever reply to my fkn email) Custom extended sump pwr radiayor pwr intercooler pwr oil cooler os giken 1-5 gear sey havnt got a clutchbyet but probs os giken twin/triple plate Wolf v500 ecu with anti lag and launch control I want to go single but i cbf if i get pulled over with the hassles! Head work (the main point to this thread remember) I have a bare gtr head sitting here which is what i am going to be using! My plans are as follows but i am chasing advice on what to do/what others recomend Tomei cams cam gears port/polish/machining oversize valves (.5mm) Titanium springs retainers etc in terms of engine combination it is being built for 1000hp+ so engine combo is definately up to the task of handling what gets thrown at it! Car is basically an ocasional street car with strip in mind PLEASE ADVISE!!!! thanks
  11. i have spoken with my engine builder and he has said they would be laggt and also mentioned gtx turbos as well! He is well aware of my power goals and what i want to do with the car but because he is also my mate knows that even though a single would be better melbourne is really f**ked atm! I just went to coles (maybe 5 kms from my house) and saw 2 ppl pulled over! 1 patrol car just kicking it on the other side of the road parked and another cop car pull into maccas lol! Thats sorted! I have an o.s giken cross mission 1-5 gear set! Was gonna go a dog box but not willing to spend half of what i paid for my car on one! Im very near the end of what i have to do with my car! My bedroom and garage are full of boxes of prts for it! I started compiling more than 2 years ago! I just need to sort out head hardware and turbos! (and suspension but it can waut im pretty happy driving around with the standard vspec coils atm)

  15. Hay ppl just chasing some advice on head work and turbo selection for my gtr! Brief rundown on the car/setup r33 gtr vspec 26/30 (in process) Rb 30 block (machined) Nitto pistons forged rods ati 1000hp balancer custom oil pump arp studs etc The bottom ends basically sorted i need advice on head work now i had a gtx3582r with tial housing but ive changed my mind (due to paranoia mainly) i want to build a twin lowmount setup to keep it stockish looking from the top! Im chasing 500kw atw (2nd reason for losing the gtx) Ive looked a bit through the turbo upgrade thread and a bit of research has led me to believe that the garrett gt2871 -10 (gtrs i believe) would be a good choice with ext gates setup! OPINIONS PLEASE??? HEAD WORK! Will this work? I want the car the have a decent rev range so opinions also greatly appreciated! Tomei type b cams tomei cam gears .5mm oversize valves titanium valve springs retainers Valve guides Required machining! OPINIONS PLEASE?? What kind of lag would i expect with this type of setup? I know theres prob heaps of other parts involved so if you were to build the head what eould you do in these circumstances! Thanks heaps
