hay buddy how many of those cars are street registered? also i dont quite get what ur comparing here as the original question was about an r34gtt and an r33 gtr and neither of those appear on that list there (unless adam wiggs r34 is a gtr) how many of them run on pump fuel also as both of our cars should be running on pump fuel (hopefully)

yeah man i didnt realise that by spacers he meant they were a different pcd i thought they just needed room to clear the struts. all good now didnt get them, with the power it will have it would warp the spacer for sure, dont really want that happening mid track now lol. im gonna leave the rims for now, gonna finish the engine, chassis and get it repainted before i go and buy another set of rims. i wanna run micket thompson street drag tyres so ill probably find some 16inch rims for them but ill work it out later with the sabadin boys and go from there

lol maybe one day im not doing it for a magazine spread, i just wanna build a fast car really. 1000hp would be awesome and the motor is definately able to do it but i dont wanna break shit 600-700hp should be enough for what i want which is a 10sec pass with a manual and then ill eventually do the auto and go for sigle digits. if i ever get canaried for it on the street it wont be re - registered and i will go absolutely stupid on it lol change every panel to carbon, just have a shell, a cage, engine and wheels, if i dont need it, itll go lol

mate if i wanted an r35 gtr i would have went out and bought one i could go to nissan to buy one tomorrow if i really wanted to but i want to drag my r34 thanks i will enjoy it.

gohan is correct i nearly bought a sunline racing japan carbon bonnet for my r34 and they r priced depending on how light u go. they start at 3000 and got to 5000 then add shipping etc and u have one very expensive bonnet. proper carbon from japan is ridiculously expensive.

i dont feel as though im getting overcharged at all engine will be able to produce over 1000hp off the top of my head here is a spec sheet please bear in mind that this is not every thing rb30 block brand new r34 gtr rb26 head custom pistons custom billet oil pump conrods custom girdle 6 boost manifold gt42r turbo 60mm tial gate hypertune manifold - the larger one hypertune fuel rail hypertune throttle body - the larger one ati 1000hp balancer tomei cam shafts tomei cam gears larger valves valve springs 1000cc injectors machine work - porting, polishing custom loom oil restrictors in the head ignition system fuel system - 2 pumps, surge tank, braided lines etc pwr radiator pwr custom cooler (may change to arc) pwr oil cooler (may change to trust) all the pulleys on the front of the engine i think tomei massive water pump custom catch tank splitfires massive custom sump thats just off the top of my head i have a 2 page list of all the shit thats going into the engine then add fittings, braided lines and all the little bullshit stuff u need redline will be over 9000rpm i really dont feel like i need to justify what im doing either this is my project car and this is what i wanna do with it quite frankly if any one doesnt like it they can go f**k themselves also to everyone saying go out and race - thats the plan but only when they r both finished i started this thread to have a debate about what kind of numbers car with this sort of power pull down the quarter, not to have a debate about wether or not i live at home etc. cheers julz

1000hp ati balancer will be here in a day or 2 then the whole bottom end will be sent off for machining and balancing.

LOL i was talking to my friend last night (the guy thats building it) and he said the same thing. for now i just wanna finish it and and then ill work out an auto later on.

compensating for what mate?? just trying to do a lil something different yeah im close to 150k heres a basic rundown of the costs car was 30k engine is 40k gearbox is 10k clutch, diff, tail shaft etc 10k brakes 6k suspension 3k body, kit, paint 10k rims 7k 2nd set of rims 5k cage, seats, harnesses 7k carbon parts 10k gauages 1.5k ecu 2.5k thats 142k doesnt include other stuff like seam welding half the chassis, the carbon dash that im probs gonna buy, and the stuff that has come out of the car like the 9000 stereo that was in it as my daily. also my best mate is building it and i help out where i can so im saving heaps on labour as well not a single piece of the engine or electronics and 95% of the carbon was second hand and a lot of it is custom stuff

ill jump in for matt and sam here the wheels have a custom spacer to fit on a 114.3 pcd as the pcd of the rim is not for skylines. i have personally had these on my car for around 2 minutes just to trial fit them and they stick out around 2 inches they r in as new condition they r beautiful rims. they r extremely light, much lighter than standard skyline rims

my first car was an na supra it was a f**king animal (had a few mods) taught me what i needed to know before i got my first gtr

fiberglass bonnets are just as illegal as the carbon ones so u might as well just get carbon have u tried google search mate. goodluck its a hard bonnet to find especially for a gtt
