Regardless of the look. 1. It will rust at parts (mine did) 2. Wait for the right time of day and you'll get a blinding glare. Both the above are currently a problem for me as small sections have either begun to rust or are reflective just like a mirror. Wouldnt mind tips on how to clean it up and re paint.

In my opinion. Any collectors item/car should be left to be as standard as possible and with as little use aswell. Just like old comic books or figurines. Sealed in their boxes. Obviously very hard to do with a car. Keep the original engine, but definitely try to get it back to what it use to be. Not a r32 gtr engine. 94 at best engine in a 01+.

Thanks for the info. Will do. Don't want to cause anymore damage. All brackets seem to be there and secure, no evidence of missing ones. I believe you're right. I purchased it second hand. Pictures below show a different weld to the left of the crack, the inside doesn't seem to have any new welds, but possibly just above the crack there is a bulge on the inside. Thanks for all the info. Will get it welded and hopefully that'll hold it for a while.
