I keep seeing $150k referenced in various threads when cost is discussed, which is book price.
The on-road cost consideration is more $170k+ for Premium spec once Gov taxes and dealer charges are included, then any options you pick, then insurance on top .....and that was a month ago when Aussie dollar high. Ouch !!!!
Cant do much about Kev's taxes so "enquired" what customer return and benefit I was getting for what I considered high dealer charges. I was advised they were making "significant" investment in new car lifts (to cater for low nose high) as well as "a special" purpose built service area (aka: a new coffee machine perhaps for the service tech ?) ... do ya think customers may just be paying for some of that in the dealer charges ...
Interested in others experience on dealer charges, stories that were told, and whether their hands were on, or under the desk, when explaining them ? Probably just have to take it but if cost of import moves about with Aussie dollar value, dealer costs could become an interesting variable in a dealer purchase or import decision (excluding warrenty and service considerations).
