  1. This may help. The drivers side door rubber on our V35 sedan got torn. I purchased a good second hand "passenger" side from the USA and it fitted perfectly. Nissan Australia wanted $200+ I got this one for $70 or $80 delivered.
  2. Look at the quality of that cable especially the heatshrink there is NO way in hell that is genuine HKS. I made up my own grounding kit, I got all the cable, wire, crimps and heatshrink for free as my mate owns a manufacturing company (industrial transformers/power supplies/battery chargers etc). My wife who drives the car the most felt it "revved" a bit cleaner and idled smoother.
  3. I reckon it could be the culprit. Do you have the cover? Best bet is to grab yourself a hose, an assistant and on a slow stream run the water in the general direction. Don't force water into it just try and simulate rain.
  4. I you got the Stillen grounding kit and you have an auto, add an extra cable from a grounding point to the gearbox. Apparently shifts are improved. But I wouldn't trust that ebay thing, it looks like one of those weird "connect to battery +ve and -ve" things.
  5. Bloody hell, that is just rough. If me and my mate (Yin-sun here) could do it on his coupe, it should be a piece of piss for "professionals".
  6. The coupe 18's run the same +30 front and rear but run 225 front 245 rear. The weird thing is they are marked "F" and "R". The only difference I can see is the rears look to have more bracing around the inside of the hub. Hang on this is for the 2003 type 18" coupe wheels with Brembo's.
  7. Open BMP in paint save as....something else.
  8. First thing I did to mine as well, as it is cheap to replace (if purchased from America). Shit idea how they get "fresh air" from behind the battery. I also got one for my little Corolla which didn't have one!
  9. What year is your car? It has the same rear end as mine but your's has the window wiper?
  10. Maybe amp the front's and your sub's at best. Otherwise I wouldn't bother, but I am old and loud music shit's me.
  11. Have the same, installed last night. I upgraded from student 2003, perhaps I should have gotten this first.
  12. But from my limited experience, you either talk to someone who generally wants to help, or some smug prick with a chip on their shoulder "because it wasn't sold here." Hence why I said you know where the better Nissan dealers are. Also, for me saving the cash was a sweetner. I wonder how they go for parts in NZ?
  13. Failing that you can ask Riverside Infinity in America as well. I purchased the dash bit n' pieces there and was cheaper by $200 than sourcing here. Chris knows the better places (Nissan) to get parts, so he might be the key for here. Doesn't the 350Z have the fuel damper?
  14. That's a fuel regulator matey. G35 fuel damper You can also get the line if needed.
  15. Hey Stuart, check out zclub.com.au. There was a chap (from the Gold Coast) on there that had a set of Brembo's up for sale. They took him about 2 or 3 months I believe to sell. He had them up just before christmas and sold them a week or so ago. Unfortunately we get kicked in the arse with the big bills around this time, so I had to skip it, any other time of the year though..... For shipping from USA to Australia, check out ebay motors. Find a wrecker who is willing to ship Australia, this is how I got my replacement inner door seal. I saw someone selling a door willing to ship to Aus. So I just asked the question and he had what I was after, so I now have the door seal on it's way His username is faziz98houston.
  16. Seller on the G35driver forums. He quoted me $395 for postage. I declined as you require spacer on V35 coupe wheels and I just got the blasted things. Not keen to use spacer as the wife uses it as a daily driver. Brake Kit I was going for the solid disc version.
  17. Latest Performance Imports mag has a review on the V36 Sedan. I can tell you if the V36 sedan boot is like the V35 Sedan boot, it is quite big enough.
  18. Hey matey, the "dog bones" is the adaptor for the calipers to fit. They are the brackets that, in the picture are on the lower left under the discs. I have heard that Wilwood aren't that great, I can't remember where I saw that though. It could also be that these calipers could flex etc. For a few hundred more you could get the Akebono kit from the states. Also take into consideration, replacing bit's and pieces, what type of pad's are those discs easily available when it comes time to replace?
  19. Have you browsed the G35driver forums? I believe they have a stereo section there. If not someone like Chris Rogers would know.
  20. Hello all Recently the wife noticed the inner door seal on the drivers side had a chunk taken out of it. When we purchased the car we noticed that the door pocket on the drivers door swung out at the bottom (like it does at the top). Thought nothing of it at the time until then. It appears that the door pocket dropped enough (2 or 3mm) that the cutout around the courtesy on the door has pinched/grabbed the rubber and simply torn a piece out. I have sourced a replacement door seal from the US. But no point putting on the door seal if it happens again. Having a closer look (and comparing to passengers side) there were 2 pins missing. 4mm screws fit perfect if you tap the plastic first. Had to get the fit just right, bit of budging as you have to lift the door pocket slightly so it fits into the "keyway" and drops down into place. I don't know if this is a common issue or not (someone else I know is chasing an inner door seal), just thought I would post it just in case.
  21. Ah you be lucky and have the later dash!
  22. Cheapest place for item 1 is USA, from memory from Nissan Japan was $650 for the parts, JB (went for quote only had no intention) $750 and from the USA (via ebay) $411. You don't need the bracket, just the trim piece and the AC controls.
  23. Will see how I go, sounds interesting.
  24. How's the fuel filter? The air filter? Throttle body gummed up? You sure you used that amount of fuel, or is your car like mine, the fuel gauge has mind of it's own? My car says we have done 100km's on half a tank and then sits at half way until about 260km's, mean while fluctuating in this time. To be safe I fill up at 300km's. I will be cleaning the sensors in the tank soon.
  25. I wouldn't think it would be too different, I mean Nissan wouldn't go to the bother to have an air box for 250GT, a different air box for 300GT etc. If you know someone in your area with another V series Skyline you could trial fit their induction to your car?
