  1. I have used this as well. Started of with Brite-Shine first to get the bulk of the crap off, then finished of with this. In the pic the drivers side has been done the passenger side hasn't.
  2. Hello all, just something to be aware of. I had my standard stereo replaced with an aftermarket one. The standard item still worked (not Bose), so I put it up on ebay. No one bought it then a week later 2 fellows emailed me for it lol. Anyway I sold it to a guy who had a M35 Stagea, his had the screen, not sure what year his car is. Anyway I get an email saying it doesn't work! It was throwing up an error code. Boy was I pissed! Anyway ended up being his installer had swapped the fascia's over (my old stereo in his fascia) and the CD was getting caught on the fascia itself and jamming up causing a code to come up. He swapped the fascia over (ie fitted everything to the fascia I supplied) and now it works fine. Pretty good he figured it out for himself, but what a headache for me the last couple of days (got the initial email Christmas day). So in short I guess make sure you use the right fascia for the right CD player.
  3. Sent PM regarding gear knob
  4. Is that from the G35 workshop manual?
  5. Bloody hell mate, sounds like a lot of assing about! Hopefully it works out for you.
  6. Here's a question, can you use G35 sedan window motors in the V35 or are the 2 front ones different?
  7. Could it be the same or simlar enough as the 350Z?
  8. C~ould it be the same or simlar enough as the 350Z?
  9. Having a quick read of the G35driver forums apparently the early V35's had issues with the brakes wearing out quickly. The rotors are soft (to be more efficient) and wear quickly.
  10. I know it is useless to you, but +1 for these guys as well. Very honest and well priced.
  11. Radius Rod I believe? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OEM-INFINIT...sQ5fAccessories edit Make that compression rod. I remember when I had my 180sx in 1998, the same sort of bush (oil filled) would go as well. Replaced them with Nolathane, all good.
  12. That's what I ended up doing, they also insured it for more than I asked for and still beat Just Cars by 10%. I then just added windscreen cover. edit Oh yea, paying more each year for it to be insured for less is usually how it goes....
  13. I do agree with this somewhat. I have a z-tube and K&N panel (which I purchased in very good 2nd hand condition from Bee) and I have to say, "by the seat of the pants" driving there isn't much difference. But the induction sound changed and it now has a nice growl!
  14. There are a couple on ebay for the $60ish mark plus postage, could be around the $100 mark delivered? Postage will be slowing down around this time of year due to christmas though. Had a look for curiosity's sake and perhaps a VS commodore V6 pipe may fit. But I think get the proper pipe.
  15. Measured the old stock tube that I had laying on the bench. Inner diameter approx 74mm Outer Diameter (inc. lip) 82mm I am pretty sure getting them from the USA is pretty cheap? Another "crazy" idea is to go around some wreckers and just do some measuring and see what you can come up with? Maybe a VN type commodore maybe close?
  16. Yes it does attract a bit of attention, my wife drives our V35 most of the time (don't want to leave it at the train station) and she occasionally comments some young "hoon" revs their engine at the lights beside her.
  17. You can also watch the G35 version on you tube.
  18. Sorry forgot to ask, did your car (R33 I take it?) have a mod plate for the conversion? My car didn't come with any service history, I asked to look at the auction sheet and took it to show some old mates that could read it. It seemed fine. I also had to source my own owners manual, which I got from the local importer down the road (bought the car elsewhere). I also had to source my own rego sticker as I got tired of waiting.
  19. Those sensors get gummed up (lack of servicing etc), from what I heard and perhaps a decent flush will solve this problem.
  20. Just ticked over 60,000km's on our trip up to Bundaberg (from Brisbane) over the weekend. Very nice car to drive on long trips and fairly economical too. Driving up there (mostly highway) and around a bit = a tad under 400km's to the top half of the tank.
  21. Dash bits was $411 from USA, fitting HU was about $90. I guess calculate from there, add a bit more for the controls etc
  22. I have had an aftermarket HU installed by Chris Rogers (a nice Clarion). I got the centre console trim and AC controls from the USA. He installed it along with the alarm. I don't have the screen so I can't help you there.
  23. Black V35 sedan on Dohles Rocks rd in a lovely traffic jam going in the opposite direction of our Black V35 sedan.
  24. Thankyou for the replies. The car is going in today at an import specialist (compliancer/mechanical workshop) to get the once over, as I don't fully trust the people I got it from. He has the right brackets to sort it out. He was surprised to hear that the compliancer didn't mount it properly (it has only been complied for approx. 2 weeks) as he said it is part of compliance.
  25. Hello When the wife and I picked up our V35 sedan from the car yard, they have bent the outside of the number plate to fit it in. It is an offence to modify your number plates (up to $320 fine). I know the US plates will fit but the wife is not keen on getting personalised plates. What have other people used to space the number plate forward? I was thinking some perspex or the like.
