  1. Kel, what were the entry costs for THC?
  2. Owen, you shouldn't have an issue with him at all. I hear mainly good feedback.
  3. I'll practice for you instead okay? Yeah yeah, I know, you've finally got your bearings reliable and don't want me smashing them... How about I just drink the beer for you instead then?
  4. Don't get smashed the night before... Unfortunately, I'm going to be very busy on this weekend and unable to attend.
  5. Dave, I'd be taking people up on offers to take one for a drive. I've driven two R33 GTRs recently, not in 100% full anger, as I drove one of them on the street, and I love my licence too much, the other was Eric's at the skid pan, and I just didn't want to break such a beautiful car, but I still gave it a bit. The big thing I noticed is how different they are to drive to a GTSt. As much as we all say "They're RWD until you break them loose!" I still think they drive and steer differently. Very hard to explain.
  6. Because the 25 motor is a great motor. The RB30 has some benefits, but there are also some drawbacks. When converting, you need to take into account, a few extra costs, such as changes to engine mounts, intercooler piping etc.
  7. You do know, to stop the nagging, you just need to unplug the driver/navigator intercom right? Facespace... That's facespace Drunkan Extremely glad to hear she's all good, although, I feel sorry for the doctor who said she wasn't allowed out of the hospital to go drinking tonight! Any word on exactly what happened? I understand head on into an embankment at speed, was this a mechanical failure or a normal racing incident? I so wish I didn't get car sick whilst trying to read notes... It seems the easiest way to get into this stuff the fun way!!! As you encountered, even me trying to use a phone to browse the net for a minute or two made me ill and we were cruising on a public road! Absolutely great to hear Alex went well, I was following her facebook postings, and initially thought she'd just gone down to spectate! Hrm, now to find out the easiest way into it as a driver... If that won't work, official!
  8. I have a huge question... How hard are you turning on the street if you're wearing the outside of your front tyres with ~1.5 degrees camber? Have you checked the rest of your toe/caster settings?
  9. From what I've been reading on FB, if she's not in high spirits Neil, then it has to be the Morphine doing the typing! Hope she's all okay and outta there quick smart!
  10. If you've got the SK Bilstein setup, keep it, get some good camber arms etc under it if they're not already done. Redo ALL bushes especially the aging ones, then throw a new diff in it. It'll be like a new car! The moment you can get suspension 100% sorted, it's nicer to drive. The largest complaint I have with my car (Apart from always blowing up, LOL) is the suspension is not good. I had no major dramas with Shell's brakes which are stock, and I hounded them so very hard, so throw some good rotors on, and matching pads, and you'll be sweet. A laggy car on the street, is NOT fun!
  11. Personally Dave, you've got a beautiful looking car, with a superbly responsive engine that, at this point in time is not showing any signs of misfortune. I'd keep it, leave it as it is, tweak the suspension, do the interior up (Seats etc), and put a nice diff in it. You will find spending $5000 on tyres, suspension and a diff will net you many many many more seconds around a track then a car with another $15K thrown at the motor alone. You will also find it nicer to drive on the street, and it won't be a contakerous bitch to drive at all from a laggier turbo setup etc.
  12. Wrong, just WRONG. An older engine CAN go into a newer car, BUT you must bring emmision standards up to the of the car. Read the regulations, they clearly state it can be done, but there is an advisory to use a new motor in an old car as the emmisions will just have to meet the motor...
  13. Unfortunately, R33's are not worth a whole lot these days, in running condition, with rego etc and reasonably stock, I've seen them sell for as low as $4,000 for Series 1, and upto around a top of 13K these days for S2. Unfortunately one with nearly every panel dented is going to be on the lower end of the scale.
  14. Dave, keep it as it is, and just get it looking even sweeter! The only thing I'd be doing work on, is the suspension, differential, and tyres. As to the bible, it's sitting on my desk at work ready to be posted, but I've been off sick for a few days! Promise the bible leaves to go to yours on Monday! Eric, as to the "Hit water and AWD kicks in" this is only what happens when you're on the gas. If you drive on the street like 99.9% of other people, when you hit water and she goes to kick out, you will lift off the throttle, leaving the GTR just the same as a GTS-t... Flailing around. The GTR AWD is only as good as the commitment the driver has to keep the throttle open.
  15. LOL... Full of Fail... The police, especially HWP, are constantly running rego checks on vehicles around them. If they see P Plates on a car that is turbo, they will pull it up. If it comes up with that the registered owner is unlicenced, they will pull it up, etc etc So on and so forth. As for not pulling u-turns to go after people for no reason, they see what they call something "suspicious", IE P-Plater in an import, and they do, and will turn around and come after you.
  16. Disconnect the actuator? So it won't open up, or remove the actuator arm and wire the flap open?
  17. It WILL be in the system IF you have an exemption AND you're the registered owner. The system can't magically tell them every single person who is driving the car at the time, it's not psychic.
  18. Sloane, you can use batch file resizers. Basically drag and drop a folder and it makes copies of everything smaller.
  19. Underwear goes on the outside Chubbs...
  20. Put in some known working coil packs.
  21. Nick, you should so totally just finish them off in MSPaint...
  22. The event section tells me there is one on to Nirima Tafe in Quakers Hill the last weekend of November. Unfortunately I can't organize a November cruise boys and girls as I'll be going away very shortly for 20 days. Although, those whom are nsw club members there is a small cruise being organized for the Jim Richards dinner night... If you're going to the dinner, you should join the club to cruise with us.
  23. Unfortunately, with so much on in December and this time of year in general, there most likely won't be an official SAU NSW Cruise until January, where I am looking at the logistics of at the moment
  24. Yeah, but we drive our track cars are driven harder... Cause the real men are in NSW...
  25. Kory, Matt, these photos are unbelievable! Excellent work!!!
