  1. With it being on easter weekend, it's probably not going to run at this stage.
  2. Go hard, mate take it to Kon at Wollongong Automotive Services. He's a good bloke, and is a no bullshitter. Just call him, book it in, drive it to him. Don't drive it anywhere else if you can't afford a full over haul. It could simply be a lie hooked up wrong, it could be dead rings, he'll find the issue though.
  3. You guys do realise that 400HP at 7000RPM is the same as 457HP at 8000RPM (Ie, rev it 1000RPm more, pick up over 10% power) but you're still making the same torque, IE, accelerating at the same speed. This is why super high revving engines have super short diffs so they retransmit the revs into torque...
  4. Guys, remember, before you get this stuff printed, the various clubs and the site have a copyright over it. And for those of you who want SAU:NSW stickers, but aren't a member of the SAU:NSW club, why not?
  5. WTF are they?
  6. Neil, I'll see what I'm doing Sat if you guys want a hand to fiddle with shit... At the worst I can at least talk shit and drink your beer...
  7. Yes you should have! Will have clutch arriving next weekend. Although, it's only a stocker, but at a really good price.
  8. We actually need another track around Sydney, to bring back down the stupidly high prices that EC are charging, and bring Wakie back down to a better level.
  9. I'll be being Duncan's bitch that weekend at Wakie.
  10. Looks like one of the lines that goes on underneath up the back area.
  11. Have you ever watched the documentary on the Autobahn and how it is maintained and monitored? Fook me dead it's one high tech piece of road! Plus, 15 minutes MAXIMUM from when you crash, to a helicopter touching down with a team of paramedics! 15 MINUTES!!! We have a half an hour delay of the bird getting in the air in Wollongong after the Ambulance service requests the chopper!
  12. That's not cruising around town. Cruising around town would be sedate driving not unleashing 600kw on.
  13. As you said you cruised it, and it's a turbo car, you really should be able to get better then standard fuel economy. While cruising it, you're making the motor make the same power as a stocker cruised... This should use the same fuel as a stocker. I'd be having serious talks with the tuner. If you cruise it too much I see washed bores occurring...
  14. He sold it... That thing will always be leaps and bounds ahead of what I'm building though...
  15. Funny you mention this... P Platers have the STRICTEST laws in regards to speeding on them... Yet they're the lowest cause of rear end accidents... So by that fact alone, it should technically reduce...
  16. All I heard is "I'm going to try and sell this, get discouraged because the market is full of tyre kickers, then I'll strip it down and make it into a track only car" Right?
  17. Hot stuff! That looks good! Would love to see this thing out in the flesh.
  18. I didn't expect any more! LOL As I said, it's no huge rush. Gives me more time to buy better shit for it... LOL
  19. Oh god! It's already been spotted in there! LOL
  20. Do you currently have your head draining into the turbo oil drain as well?
  21. I'd like to have a beer with the person who thinks he's a hack...
  22. Unless your speedo starts eating the gear drive, you don't need to calibrate them, this is why they have to be between 0 and 10% over read at any time for any configuration of tyre approved by the manufacturer. Most cars over read by at least 3% on brand new tyres. Oh and new to worn out tyres will alter reading by approx 0.5%...
  23. When you're sitting in traffic stationary, you sit with your foot on the clutch don't you? If you do, STOP IT! You will be screwing the thrust washer in the engine. If you want a lighter pedal, put a lighter pressure plate in for the clutch. Otherwise by a MANUAL 4cylinder... They save even more fuel then the autos and stock clutch = light as.
  24. Is it more likely all the girls are wrong, or the one common factor?
