  1. I believe that price quoted was isntalled... and Tuned...
  2. Most ECUs don't have the ability to tune how the E1280S does... You can tune it up with bazillion internal logic sequences, to the point you can run the engine AND the gearbox at the same time, and depending on what each parameter is doing, the ecu can have a different output... The basic Adaptronic has the water temp correction, but you can actually write 3D maps into the E1280S from what I've seen. I run the E420C, and CPD on the forum runs the E1280S in his R33 (I'm going to check it out this weekend) and I'll report back a hell of a lot more information for you.
  3. Anna, seriously, DO IT! You get sooo much driver time!
  4. Yes there is a difference, There's also a difference between R32, R33, and R34 as I said earlier. You're all prepared to tell this guy to rip his water pump off, buy a new radiator... I did all that and learnt the hardway... GET THE CORRECT TEMPERATURE SENSORS FIRST. If you have the old motor, refit them!
  5. Either of the short blocks or whole engines in good nick? Could be rather interested in purchasing... PM if you want...
  6. They only cost a slab of beer if you know where to look...
  7. I get my info from: A neighbour who's a highway cop, My best mates step brother, who's also in with the force, And another family friend, who's an ex highway copper
  8. I'm going to enter soon... Under the category of "Most reliable car"... I think I overheard duncan say he was entering it too... Oh and the best paint job of "Grease handprint black"
  9. Ahh yes yes, sorry... As to keeping up... Until the halfway house I only downshifted out of 5th gear about 5 times... LOL Through those bends that were nice and tight, she just grips grips grips! Good little chucker of a car, and pretty darn predictable! But thought i'd let you know, on those hard left hand turns, you were dropping what looked like water out the back drivers side (Behind the wheel) could be water in your inner guard from the boot area breathing out even.
  10. Bahahaha... You're joking right? They quite frequently hand out higher fines/suspensions to people for trying to get out of large speeding offences...
  11. This is the case with RADAR, it is not the case with LIDAR Also, in car camera may have picked up SFA since they were backed up in the bushes etc...
  12. From everyone who I could see (I usually had 10 cars in my sight out of ~16) there was no skids being ripped in corners, nothing stupid at all, and all sitting at/around the speed limit and just having a proper cruise, there was no attempts at racing on over taking lanes or anything (A few people shuffled spots, but that's okay) Was a great day... And I had an AWESOME view... Really wish I had the camera setup, as the line that we had moving, looked spectacular when we hit the long straight sections! Oh, and those GTRs... Damn sexy ass ends on them!!!
  13. I'd be more looking at possibly the turbo restricting the setup... 3076R is a perfect turbo for a 2.5L... Touch small on the 3.0L isn't it?
  14. That's the difference, an engine in neutral with a huge quick rev up to 7000RPM is more damaging if oil pressure isn't quick enough. On the street, motor is loaded, doesn't rev up as quickly, the oil pressure "lag" is barely noticeable... But a very quick free rev, it can be quite noticeable depending on how quickly the motor revs out of gear.
  15. Have you got your old motor? If you do, grab the temperature sensors from it, and put them in the car instead of the ones that came with the motor. I've been caught out like this before with the only issue being a sensor... I chased it around for ages checking water pumps, coolant gallerys, new radiators etc etc... Turned out to be the sensors...
  16. Depending on the event he won't require any licence.
  17. When the first half of the second 1/3 of the cruise turned up... A few people decided they'd pull up around 2KM before hand to ah... Water the trees... Group 2 then got swamped by group 3 also...
  18. Does anyone know who was driving the GTR with plates AN-81-OW?
  19. If the 25 is like the 30 thermo, it is a bad idea to run without one... The RB30 runs a strange bypass setup when cold. From waht I've been told, no thermo stat can cause hot spotting in the motor...
  20. Some back ground on this motor? What's this new motor out of? Have you bled the coolant system? Checked wiring? Are you using the right sensors?

Did you get a second date?
  22. I am so frigging glad I didn't bring my skyline!!! I ended up doing 625 KMs round trip!!! But awesome day, and meh... The Jazz loved it! Oh, and Duncan, 6.25L/100KM fuel economy for that WHOLE trip!
  23. Who the HELL made us have to get up so early! See ya's there!
  24. I'm loving the dedication you had! But man... You must brake HARD!!! There was contemplation of a 2L coke bottle catch can installation in my car... LOL
  25. I'll be at the Maccas at 7 - 7:30, but not in the Skyline... It has a couple of issues and don't want to take it out.
