  1. Now where's bunta to convert the tractive effort to NM properly? I bet shes putting down some impressive torque for "only" 260 KW sounded sick in the vid too Nick! Uber jelly!
  2. Cam profiles are designed pending certain applications, youll be completely changing how the exhaust flows and therefrore how the head and cams will breathe. Kind of like shoving huge overlap cams in a V8 and then bitching the car wont idle like standard... the engine is designed as one large system, that youre f**king with. It will drive, itll also make way less power than an RB25DE from the factory. There is a reason so many people have complained about driveability after doing this exact conversion...

  9. my xr6tmaking 290kw makes 550nm of torque just to give you an idea. That's a 4L.
  10. It cant be 2400Nm of torque... Even at 2000rpm, that's 500kws... Which is more then your peak power. If youre making 380kw at around 6500rpm, at that point youre making 558nm of torque...

  13. its how it was meant. None of us who were at the really pointy end go and run at Texi any more. The good ol' days are gone!!! Planning once my second r33 is done to get Sarah and i down to the motorkhanas in Canberra, we checked them out earlier and its some real competition!
  14. Its a wet engine. Dry the electrics as has been mentioned before by letting it idle for an hour with bonnet up and in the sun. All else fails start hitting everything with CO contact cleaner
  15. quit the talkig, just turn up and try beat us PS, as mentioned guys these days pretty much just do skids at texis though, so its really only a burnout comp
  16. 12 to 16 cars for a track day... Ain't gunna happen in NSW unless your guys are prepared for $450 just to run Wakefield... If going to texi, they don't go for times anymore, they just do burnouts. Its why anyone quick either moved to Qld or stopped going to texi...

  18. i don't know, i don't think its confirmed. If its at PI ill be going. But this year it was at Adelaide, and it was a good trip. Last year it was nsw in my back door step, i didn't go, lol. Year before it was in Vic. If you want some good track day competition and some really good cars, head to nats. Otherwise, the wheel, youre reinventing it...
  19. you know whats even easier? Turn up to the SAU Nats, which pits everyone against each other, then just tell Ash to keep a track of points for each state and we can declare which state wins...
  20. yep, iirc, it may be possible in other states too. Its classified as conducting a time trial, even if youre not timing it!

  22. Oh god... A microtec... Pull your ebay turbo off, pull the looking like aftermarket manifold off. Shove it and the microtec on ebay. Buy a standard exhaust manifold, and purchase a stao high flow with Adaptronic ECU. Reliable turbo, fixed up exhaust system + decent ECU all done quickly and easily. Don't waste money tuning it twice.
  23. No pressure source, it won't really open. My 14PSI gate won't open without a pressure source on it. And I'm betting it's a stock ECU... Since everythign else sounds stock...

It was quiet because what he means by "Connecting waste gate" is he put the pressure lines to it, now the waste gate opens to properly control boost, but it is venting to atmo as no one bothered to plumb it back. My guess is that the guy bought all that stuff on ebay second hand, and the turbo was never plumbed back considering it was bought as a project after the car was purchased after it had been sitting for practically 5 years...
