  1. custom isn't necessarily expensive. It depends on if you let someone rip you a new one, or go quality. My system fully fitted cost me less than it should have, but turbo back, custom built mufflers, and a new metal cat should have cost me $1500. I don't think that's overly expensive. Yes more then a "I'll take a noisy ass 3" for $300 thanks!"Anyone who heard my old 2530 can attest to the fact that it was very quiet for what was in front of it. A verydeep but not loud note at idle and as it came past 3000rpm you could hear the motor louder then the exhaust... Rare in a turbo car.
  2. Pic of my skid? PS I love the vids of the 450SX
  3. Ha ha ha, I'd love to, but then you would have a heap less things to heckle me about Maybe I need to just buy a cheap as hell R33 GTS-t and strip it again...
  4. If it's urgent, I got $500 here...
  5. Picton Tunnels. SOOO not worth doing. It is complete BULLSHIT! Just forget about them. We ran a cruise there... The scariest shit about that night was the way the woman dressed who ran the tour.
  6. It's been hiding under covers for about 6 months straight. It moves to a new home soon, and then we will have progress again!
  7. So long as at the end of the day, you've got a smile ear to ear, and some other monkey to change your shocks, then that's all that matters! Right? I'm quite jealous of this car really. Such a basic engine setup, decent suspension and stripped and it just looks so fun out there on the track!!!
  8. It's alright Dave... No one lets me drive their cars any more either... Genelle! You should enter!
  9. And you and your RB30 crew don't?"OMG fork lift motors are the best!!!" *Wank Wank Wank* LOL If you want to see what they can do, go have a look at some! 500rwkw on 1bar with completely stock bottom ends and lasting 50000+ KMs of thrashing... Or 11 second 1/4 miles in cars 200 to 400 KG heavier with very basic changes staying NA. The world already knows what they can do!
  10. I'm planning to head down for a looksee, and a bit of pit lane shit talking. Might cruise down with Owen. Keep an eye out for the undercover police car with a blue R33 around it... LOL
  11. don't expect to get away with anything like this for under 5KFirst up, you're going to want to rebuild it anyway, then changes in inlet piping, exhaust, radiator etc etc, Add on top a retune... its going to be exxy... Also 40kg heavier is the mention of it over an rb30. I'll pass for a street car... much better engine choices out there for cheap displacement in a skyline
  12. Been done multiple times before, there's even references in the RB30 section to people doing it. There was even some reasoning as to why the RB30 was a better choice but I can't remember them because even at 3.2L... Not enough displacement...
  13. When did you buy a rotary?
  14. SKIDDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Hey Jarrad, if I come up, can I drive your car?
  16. "Debt collectors" are the best to use... So long as you leave no trace back to the company who ordered them be sent...
  17. There is a quick way to get "warranty issues" resolved. Firstly, there is mandatory warranty that states a product must be warranted for a length of time that a reasonable person would expect said product to last for. I have succesfully used this a few times against HP. They give you a 12 month warranty, but the service life of a PC is given as 3 years, hence, a reasonable person can expect it to last 3 years. Call up, with the phone call being recorded (As an individual you are legally allowed to do this without telling PWR, if you're a business, it's a no no), and ask them how long they normally expect their radiators to last. Do NOT tell them who you are etc etc at the beginning of the call, make it sound like you're interested in the products etc. Once you have a valid length of time, you just gotta be like "well you sound like a reasonable bloke, and if you expect it to last 4 years, well, I've got this one that is only 18 months old, you can cover it via warranty"
  18. I would plumb it back in for this track. There is a noise limit at the track, and if they find themselves over, they pull the offending cars and find ways to quieten them down (As mentioned earlier) Not running a screamer will help you immediately.
  19. What? Is this a skyline thing or something?Every auto I've driven avoids stalling when you lock the drive wheels with this thing called a stall converter/torque converter... It works similar to putting the clutch in when you pull the hand brake on a manual... Advantage to auto, keep your foot on the throttle... So long as your handbrake can hold the power the engine is putting out...
  20. Fixed your post...
  21. While the track doesn't have *MASSIVE* run off like Wakie, you're only going to take out a wall if you're a complete numb nuts. It is a low speed track. In saying that, you will still get to around 140KM/H on the straight. It is a "driver training centre" and this track will teach you SHITLOADS about you, and your car.
  22. Only in Australia...When I was in America, I was shocked, the Indianapolis motorsport complex is literally across the road from houses. The thing is built like in the middle of parramatta as an example... No one says a word.
