  1. Failbook is more like George Orwell's 1984... You will do what they say, and think what they tell you to think, or else.
  2. I might be interested in one of those... In 6 to 9 months... If I pull my finger out and get some more funds for the car...
  3. As mentioned about, it's for the electric fan.
  4. The AC and all the fan shit is probably the heaviest stuff you can take out... LOL Your other major weight area is to re-wire the whole freaking car. Otherwise... Don't bother really.
  5. I forsee Fatz filling it with oil and dirt in the not too distant future...
  6. New Owners, New Management, same people still running the place... I think they disliked the idea of being apart of the "Western Sydney" image... LOL
  7. You would have heard wrong then... If you cut the extractors so they sit tighter on the block, you have the drivers side one exiting smack in the middle of the steering rack. For those who've done this, or are doing this currently, they can also tell you the passenger side standard or HSV manifolds fit perfectly. Nothing off the shelf will fit, as they are designed to finish under the car, not in the engine bay...
  8. Go and find Bezerk32 build thread. He got around it by using a non power steering VL rack. I'm getting around it in the R33 with some tricky exhaust manis and relocating the starter.
  9. Expect to add roughly $200 on top of your $250 for an EC day that isn't packed to the rafters and getting no track time. Last time I checked, it was 3 times the price of Wakefield park. From what I've heard from others since, it has gone up a touch since then...
  10. Brakes only slow you down... Nuff Said...
  11. I'm currently at 2 years and 2 months...
  12. Okay, this whole thread I've been facepalming something shocking at the stupidity... I get to this and nearly wet myself laughing... BRB, going toilet...
  13. I think that would have him a bit too low if I'm sitting on the bar stool... Maybe just on his knees?
  14. It's part way through being setup, Eric was the main one doing it, unfortunately he has a LOT of work on at the moment, and a lot of other projects on too. Also what Dave said is soo true. Open event early = no one taking it up. The events that seemed to fill the best were those that were opened closer to the day.
  15. Actually... It's 335HP not well over 400HP... Have kids just started failing simple maths lately?
  16. 480RWHP XR6T and it's only running 113MPH? There is something wrong there considering a stock XR6T with the right driver can rattle a high 12 out of one... And they only make 290KW at the fly (In the FG) and less in the older models...
  17. Sweet, I don't live on here...
  18. How many posts I have?
  19. I just want him for a beer...
  20. I wasn't making an issue of this, I was clearly pointing out that people need to be aware of how road noise tests are conducted are VERY different to EPA (At Events like this) and Race Track noise levels. Maybe we should stop educating people because facts might scare them... What do you think? As you had noted, the DBA meter is a fair distance from the gate, so it should be a non issue.
  21. Enough people here have seen me hungover at events to know that there is no way I should be even THINKING about driving a car when I'm hungover...
  22. You can't always confirm an event 12 months out. Bookings for this year for Wakie were done at the very end of December/Early this year IIRC.
  23. This was raised with Christian around 12 months ago now, we were told by him, the Events Section in the normal NSW area is not ours, it is the forums, and we can't stop people posting events. It would also annoy everyone here if we posted on another site to gain numbers and they removed our event...
  24. I'll probably be too hungover to wake up, yet alone drive. All depends on what happens on Friday night if I turn up at Wakie, yet alone enter. I'd like to, but making uber early hours in the morning might be pushing it... That and I need to redo my licence, and I really should be saving money for America and not spending it in Australia.
  25. I wouldn't be. Road noise tests are done at partial throttle holding a constant RPM. Full throttle = f**k loads louder. When some cars back off they can spike 10 - 15 DBA... The test of 95DBA at 30Metres that CAMS uses, is at full noise while the car is being driven on the circuit, and can be take at any point on the track, including when the car backfires. It will be the same at Sutton, the vehicle must ALWAYS be under 95DBA from 30 metres away via EPA stipulation. Not just when it is being slightly free revved in the car park.
