  2. I thought the Hypergear turbos had a nipple on the outlet of the turbo already for that purpose... If not, do as Jez has said and put a brand new nipple on the intercooler pipe, nice and close to the turbo.

  4. Yes they do. So do LS1s... The LS1 still has plenty of room for TT so long as you don't want to be keeping crap like the Air Con. Check out my pics (Although, if you had been in Brads workshop you would have seen my car first hand with LS1 in it)
  5. It's an Astra... My HONEST advice (Even though it's a run about) GET RID OF IT! My mother just had all matter of issues with hers. We finally got everything fixed, and before driving it any more (In case it broke again) went and traded it in... Different troubles the car had over 18 months, BHG, snapped a timing belt, was over heating (With the whole cooling system replaced), in that time it also had the radiator explode, a hose that looked in perfectly fine condition burst, as well as a number of other problems... As well as all of the oil leaks you've been mentioning... These cars for some reason, once they start breaking, they keep breaking. GET RID OF IT!

  9. WTF are you smoking? Your reaction time is the time it takes from when the green light lights up, and when you break the first beam. Your reaction time, is all about how QUICKLY you react to the green coming on. If you had come to the SAU NSW drag day we held not long back, Sydney Dragway officials even explained this. What can quite majorly effect your ET is your 60 Foot time. This is the time it takes for you to travel the first 60 feet of the track. 0.1 of a saving here can be 0.2 of a saving at the top end of the track. For your ET, your reaction time means NOTHING.

  11. You are only going to be using this on the track correct? If it isn't engineered and certified, and you're using it on the road, you can be booked for it.

  13. Look at the injuries sustained in crashes from front on, side on, and rear on from seat belts, and then from harness. Then compare the number of total accidents that involve roll overs. Even on the track, roll overs are the rarest form of accident. Even if you don't have a roll cage, I'd rather protect myself from the most common type of injuries/accidents...

  16. I'll take a harness in a roll over crash over a seat belt with or without a roll cage any day thanks. As to the question from OP, the BEST thing to do, is actually grab the CAMS regs on mounting and get the angles right. As for the nut strap, you will most likely need to drill straight through the floor, and put the mount in. You can buy certified mounting plates from around the place that the loop will bolt into.

  18. Not very many engines like limiter bashing at all. When you limiter bash, you hammer the oil pump, when the oil pump cracks, you lose oil pressure and trash the motor... I can tell you this from experience...
  19. I dunno, I like saving money... $60 to join, and about $100 off insurance dependin on everything... Just for that I say it's worth it... But then again, that'd just my opinion...
  20. I may be older and more responsible, and now set in my ways... But is that going to make me able to drive in heavier traffic of a night when I've never driven in it? Or how about when I do get in a car with 4 passengers that I can drive for, how do I get use to them all talking when I've never experienced that before? Education and attitude bending is the only way to fix bad driving and reckless driving...
  21. Here's a thought... All of the bans and restrictions they have implemented, or want to implement, are because they're not used to driving to said conditions/with power etc... So what happens at the end of said restriction when they are 2 - 3 years older and STILL haven't driven in those conditions?
